On March 4, ESPN analyst Louis Riddick is pushing the Dallas Cowboys to make a splash and free agency by signing past Russia, Trey Hendrickson. With Jerry Jones bowing to spend big this offseason, Riddick sees Hendrickson as the perfect fit to bolster a defense that struggled badly last year. The Cowboys traded away Michael Parsons, leaving a huge gap on the edge. A new coaching staff under Christian Parker is in place, but fresh talent is key to turning things around, especially after some historically poor. Performances in 2025. Hendrickson just parted ways with the Cincinnati Bengals after a one-year deal. His 2025 season was rough, limited to seven games with only four sacks and 16 tackles. But he bounced back strong before that, notching 17 and a half sacks in both 2023 and 2024, earning first team. All pro honors. Riddick knows Dallas has other holes, like in the secondary. He suggests getting aggressive in the 2026 NFL draft with their 12th and 20th overall picks, where plenty of cornerbacks could be.
Available, pairing Hendrickson with the Cowboys existing pieces could create real nightmares for offenses, giving Dallas the elite rush they desperately need, heading into next season.
