Jimmy began deconstructing his religion as a college student studying history and religious studies. He completed his deconstruction after joining the military in 2010, which he claims took him out of his comfort zone and introduced him to various cultures and world religions that challenged his world view. We’ll discuss how Jimmy has balanced these aspects of his life and his reasons for being outspoken about his belief in the separation of religion and government.
