Rescued Poodles Find Hope, Two Still Wait

0:00On April 8th, authorities in Nottingham rescued 250 poodles from a single house with the owners said they got overwhelmed by non-stop breeding. The dogs were living in their own waste with sore skin and matted fur packed tight in every room. Many went straight to the RSPCA's Rackliffe Animal Center, where staff had to carry the most scared ones outside since they'd never seen grass before. A few others, like a deaf and blind cocker spaniel named Stevie and her poodle guide dog, Sandy, ended up at a center in Hartfordshire. Folks online thought photos from the scene were AI-fakes, but RSPCA leaders confirmed they're real, pointing to a big uptick and overbreeding hoarding, cases with 10, 20, or even 100 animals at once. Most of the poodles have found loving homes by now, but too, even Teddy are still waiting at the center for their forever families.
