0:00On March 19th, a repeated fender named Robert Cooper has been sentenced to 16 months in jail for stealing from a co-op store in Clifton, nodding him, and breaking a court order that banned him from the place. He walked in on February 16th, 17th, and 19th this year, grabbing stakes, meet joints, laundry items, and other goods before running, off without paying. That court order, known as a criminal behavior order, came from magistrates back in June last year, and simply stepping inside the store, violated it, right away. At nodding him, Crown Court on March 13th, Cooper pleaded guilty to three theft charges and three breaches of the order. Police from the Clifton team say these orders help deter persistent thieves, and their glad this case gives store staff a break while pushing for, better security and support to cut down on shoplifting across the board.
