ESPN draft analyst Jordan Reed released his latest two-round mock draft for the New York Giants after the NFL Combine. He has them taking Ohio State Limebacker, Sunny Styles, with the fifth overall pick in the first round. Then in the second round at Pick 37, Reed sends them Arizona State Offensive Tackle, Max Ihanacore. Styles turn heads at the Combine with his athletic testing, showing off speed and explosiveness. Reed sees him as a perfect fit for the Giants' defense under coordinator Denard Wilson, bringing size, run-stopping ability, and coverage skills. The Giants have lacked a steady linebacker presence, especially after injuries, and with Bobby Ocarique possibly leaving in free agency. Giants fans would likely cheer this pick, as the linebacker spot desperately needs an upgrade. Last season's issues started with no draft additions there, and got worse with Micah McFadden's injury. Styles offers versatility from his safety background, and could transform the middle of the defense right away.

At 6 foot 6 and 321 pounds, he's raw but high upside, especially if right tackle Jermaine and Lua Mooner departs. Reed likes his past protection, where he didn't allow a sack last year. That said, some analysts questioned spinning a second-round pick on a developmental tackle when guards are a bigger need. The Giants might only have two guards on the contract soon, and prospects like Oregon's Emanuel Pregnant could fill that gap better while tackles. Developed later in the draft, it's a solid mock, but the debate rages on as free agency nears.
