Meanwhile, sponsors like American Express and hospitality firm Blackbird pulled their support right before the pop-up launch. The Los Angeles event, with tickets priced at $1,500 each, sold out in just three minutes despite the controversy. Ritzepi also resigned from the board of mad, the food non-profit he started back in 2011.
