Red Door Gallery invites art lovers, collectors, and the community to celebrate the arrival of fall at its Camus first Friday artist reception on Friday, September 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. The evening will feature the unveiling of a new exhibit showcasing original oral paintings by acclaimed artists, Ray Baxter and Sarah Bang. Known for bringing together exceptional local artists along with a diverse collection of fine art, Red Door Gallery transforms its Camus gallery into an inspiring showcase of fresh automorks, rich color, and distinctive artistic perspectives. Both Baxter and Bang are accomplished oil painters and were thrilled to showcase Sarah Bang's new Fears 2 and Ray Baxter's 60 by 48 oil titled Pathway, along with many other new works, said Liz Pike, artist and owner of Red Door Gallery. Guests attending the September 1st Friday reception will have the opportunity to meet many of the 16 artists who make Red Door their gallery home, view latest works, enjoy refreshments, and mingle with fellow art enthusiasts and collectors. The event is free and open to the public. First Friday is always a special evening at Red Door Gallery because it gives our community
the chance to experience new art, meet many of our talented artists, and discover the inspiration behind the work, added Pike. All of our artists bring unique artistic voices to Red Door, and we're excited to introduce their newest works to Camus. The September reception marks the beginning of a new season at Red Door Gallery, with an ever-changing collection of fine art. See stunning new clay works by Diane Gail and Matthew Oil Painters Wendy Davis Cheryl Folkers and Cheryl Matthewson, watercolor artist Hever McCullough, an acrylic artist George Strupp are each unveiling new pieces.
