In Tampa Bay today, March 2nd, a 53-year-old Sarasota man died after a two-vehicle crash in Manatee County on Sunday afternoon. Florida Highway Patrol says it happened just before 4 p.m. on 53rd Avenue West at the T Intersection with 20th Street West. A 19-year-old Bradinson man driving a Ford Mustang ran a red light while heading west. He slammed into a Ford F-150 that was turning left from Southbound 20th Street West. The F-150 had a green light and was driven by a 38-year-old Bradinson man. His passenger, the Sarasota man, suffered critical injuries in the side-impact collision. Both truck occupants were rushed to the hospital. The passenger later died from his injuries there. Meanwhile, the Mustang driver and the F-150 driver both have serious injuries but survived.
