Good morning! From the Fairbanks Museum in St. John's Prairie, this is the eye on the Sky Recreational Forecast. A challenging day in terms of outdoor plans and a very different one depending on where you are across the listening area, there will be periods of rain throughout the area and there could be a thunderstorm west of the Green Mountains this morning. It should taper to showers this afternoon, but the temperatures will range widely. Mainly 40s from the Adirondacks and Route 4 North, but upper 30s in Quebec all the way into the 50s and low 60s in the south, the winds will be relatively light, mostly from the east and southeast. Tomorrow, a weather front that's creating these differences will stay in place, and that means that highs will range from the 30s and low 40s in the north, climbing into the 50s to near 60 in the south, there will be some rain tomorrow morning, but that should taper off to some scattered showers. For the mountains today, you can look for summits obscured in clouds and periods of rain, diminishing the south in the afternoon, light southwestern winds will increase the south in the afternoon, gusting 20 to 40 miles per hour over 50 on top of Mount Washington, temperatures mostly
40s to near 50 at 4,000 feet and in the low 40s at 6,000 feet. At lower elevations, winds will be light today, mainly from the east, from the Adirondacks and Route 4 North and from the south areas south of Route 4, averaging 10 miles per hour becoming northwest tomorrow, a meteorologist Mark Brin with an eye on the sky.
