Good morning! From the Fairbanks Museum in St. John'sbury, this is the eye on the sky, recreational forecast. A rather chilly day in terms of outdoor plans, especially with lots of clouds out there, there will also be a few scattered at rain or snow showers through New York, and mostly south of I-89, more isolated to the north, and mainly from the green mountains east to the south, and noon with a few pop-up showers, remaining cool temperatures only in the 40s, some low 50s to the south and west, along with that generally a light south wind, but a gusty south wind west to the green mountains gusting 20 to 30 miles per hour, especially through the Champlain Valley. Looking ahead, we'll see a bit more sunshine tomorrow, still some clouds in a passing shower across the north-eastern sections, and a fair amount of sunshine on Friday with temperatures mid-40s to mid-50s. For the mountains today, the summits will see clouds occasionally lowering onto the summits, and they'll be brisk this morning, then shift to the west and diminish this afternoon, there'll be a couple of spotty, snow, and rain showers best chance they'll be across
the Adirondacks into the southern green mountains. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer than yesterday, but still cool, near 40 at 4,000 feet, 30 at 6,000 feet. At lower elevations, winds today picking up out of the south, near 10 miles per hour east, and 10 to 15 miles per hour, gusting 20 to 30 miles per hour from the green mountains west.
