Good morning! From the Fairbanks Museum at St. John'sbury, this is the eye on the sky recreational forecast. Another iffy day in terms of outdoor plans, we're starting out with some rain or a little sleet across southern sections that will taper off by mid to late morning and generally cloudy skies after that. There'll be some breaks of sun in the north, but that's not going to last either, clouds will be moving in, and some showers across northern New York, perhaps into the northern Champlain Valley, later on this afternoon. Winds will be fairly light from the southeast, but temperatures on the cool side for this time of year, mostly in the upper 30s and low 40s south, low to mid 40s in the north, where there'll be some breaks of sun. Tomorrow, a surge of spring as any early showers give way to some breaks of sun, and temperatures tomorrow afternoon climbing into the 60s along with a gusty south wind. For the mountains today, the southern summits will start in the clouds with sleet or rain ending, clouds lifting this afternoon, northern summits may see a little early sun, but lower in clouds, sleeter freezing rain, or rain in the Adirondacks and northern green
mountains late in the day. South winds will start picking up to near 15 miles per hour, gusting to 40 on Mount Washington, with temperatures near 32. At lower elevations, light winds becoming east to southeast near 10 miles per hour, and then increasing southeast winds tomorrow, gusting 25 to 45 miles per hour.
