Reckless Driver Gets Seven Years for Fatal Crash

0:00On April 20th, a 27-year-old driver named Muhammad Ali just got 7 years in prison for a deadly crash in Birmingham that killed. 32-year-old Hazar Hanif, back on February 18th, 2024. Ali was behind the wheel of an Audi A4, speeding up to 90 mph while dangerously weaving through traffic on Soho Road in handsworth. Moments before impact, he slammed into the back of the car Hanif was riding in, then clipped another vehicle, leaving its driver with serious injuries. Hanif died right there at the scene, while his friend, who was with him, only had minor physical wounds but is still dealing with the emotional toll. The two were heading to grab suits for a friend's wedding the next week, turning what should have been a joyful errand into tragedy for Hanif's young, family. His wife shared in court how their perfect life shattered, losing her soulmate, their son, his dad, and the whole family, it's heart. After the crash, Ali ended up in the hospital too, where he assaulted a police officer, leading to extra charges.
