5:12Bailey and our Val Reese who are all sitting there at 370 as well and you know Mike this just kind of let you know where you and I say the draft is such an incredible betting vehicle if you can get in on these things or they know there's a lot of people out there going why are you guys talking about this because of because of this very market if if if we think that the Arizona Cardinals and despite the fact and you set off air and you'll I know you'll say to get here which is yes bad organization not run very well however after watching what happened with the Raiders after watching the season after watching the way that everybody reacted to that and the negative sentiment about the Rangers about the Raiders spending a extremely high pick on a running back when you had so many other holes so many other holes it is the exact same scenario with the Cardinals and so the fact that we were betting Jeremiah love to go third overall is wild to me yeah I I don't get this at all I we were talking about Jeremiah love being like nine and a half ten and a half this is over under for being selected and

6:15yet here we are obviously not going to be that number considering that he's plus 370 here now to be the third overall pick it's probably going to be somewhere in the six and a half seven half range which I mean that's hard to bet that one from me either the overall or the under there I thought he made more sense as you know under nine and a half but at six and a half seven and a half I'll have no interest I think this is fascinating look we've seen our Valries become the heavier favorite to be too overall I still disagree with it but let's make the assumption that our Valries gets picked number two Matt because if he doesn't get picked number two I think he makes the most sense here at three I would run to the to the podium and take Rubin Bain I've said that at the number two pick as well now obviously that doesn't look like it's going to happen based on the markets I still like Rubin Bain still would sprinkle a little bit here but if you are rebuilding let's say that the Cardinals keep this pick for this conversation I think Francis Maluga makes a ton of cents here four to one he I don't think that the upside for David Bailey is there from an edge who is not as quick off it it doesn't have the same moves it doesn't have the same bend as someone

7:16like Rubin Bain Jeremiah Love makes absolutely no sense for this organization you look at the guys like sunny styles you look at guys like Caleb Downs playing less premium positions to me you're probably going offensive line here and Maluga is alignment I like more than for no out of Utah so I would go that direction if I was going to go anywhere I actually like him at plus 125 for first offensive lineman selected that market just popped up as well but to me like you're going for a premium position here if you're an intelligent franchise that means it's most likely David Bailey Maluga or Rubin Bain I like the two Miami guys so I'm just adding L's to guys last names that don't exist it's fine it's fine no no no no no no no no just adding L's to guys names that don't exist no so here's the thing if you're Arizona if you're playing the long game which you should be because you're not going to win next year and yes offensive offensive line because you're playing to get a draft to draft a quarterback next year so like go ahead get the offensive lineman and then draft the quarterback next year right and so you should be looking kind of two

8:17years in advance here which is take the offensive lineman to protect your franchise quarterback which you are inevitably going to draft next year you're getting rid of Kyler Murray it is a deep quarterback class next year it makes all the sense in the world if they keep the pick but I mean it makes all the sense in the world that you go ahead and just get that you just get alignment. Yeah you have to bolster your defensive offensive line built inside out from this franchise and you do your needs for them in both places you could make an argument they actually are more set right now in the offensive line based on the picks they've made over the last couple years in the defensive line and that would point you toward David Bailey or Rubin Bain I would upgrade the offensive line I would fix this offense first you've already used draft capital of Marvin Harris and junior on the outside you feel like you've got a top tier tight end and tray McBride you're adding a quarterback next year solidify the offensive line and then fix the defense once you have the offense up to stuff you can also by the way fix the defense a lot easier through free agency then you can fix an offense through free agency specifically at the

9:18o-line position so for me I'm going offensive lineman here if I'm taking the pick and I am the cardinals and then that would either be that would either be the Miami alignment four to one or you go for no there from Utah six to one I would again I think this should be o-line now what I will say is when they put up the number four overall pick market which will be up relative so what they're doing is they're gonna let this one settle and they're gonna see where this one lands over the next week you know next few day when they'll put up the number four market what I will say about that one I do think love is live to go for because I think the Titans look at this as we have our quarterback we've got a couple of decent offensive lineman as it is already we've got Simmons on the defensive line who's a wrecker I do think that there might be a world that exists where they look and go Calvin Ridley is not paying down I am manner we found out I am manner that's right we I

10:25remember I am manner I am manner maybe he could be like a one B or something or whatever maybe you know Mike but I think there might be a world that exists that that love could go for because I think the Titans could think that he might be what they need to at least have a functioning offense Yeah I wouldn't look the Titans make a little sense the chiefs obviously make sense there the Saints make some sense there if you're talking about destinations for love I guess Washington the commanders make some sense as well even the Browns so there's a lot of running back needy teams here I don't think you're running back away if you're the Titans and I the to me running back as a luxury pick it is the I agree it is the bow on top of the present it is not the wrapping paper it is not the actual present you need to end your build with a running back and to me there's still way too many pieces for this Tennessee Titans team and yes it love I think is very good don't get me wrong you might be the best player in this draft yeah that being said he's a running back

16:43there but in terms of the awards markets specifically MVP and say young there's only what maybe three or four guys in the American League three or four guys in the National League didn't even have a shot so you know that's why I wanted to go first and foremost and try to pick off a little bit of mid-range value there and then you know kind of stack where I could the rest of the way you know in terms of like skip shoe mucker for manager of the year from the Rangers and then also grabbing the Rangers over 83 and a half because for shoe mucker to win manager of the year they're gonna have to win more than 84 games so you're just kind of stacking in that way with something that I was looking to do is to draft one along as well well I'm gonna go right there then we're doing the the ALS preview today and we have are about to do the Rangers here in an upcoming segment you're obviously bullish on them tell us why you what the case is for the Rangers to be able to overachieve this year and are they live inside that division to be able to run down Seattle yeah I think they are live in that division I mean they're starting rotation has the chance to be really really special with Jacob DeGrom and Nate you for all the and look I mean obviously you know injuries are gonna

17:45play a role those are not spring chickens those are guys that are definitely you know on the older side certainly trying to get to you know trying to overcome the aging curve a little bit for both of those guys along with trying to stay healthy but I think McKenzie goers are really really nice fit for this team you know great ballpark upgrade global I feel there's one of the top ball parks in baseball in terms of batting average on balls and play against nationals park was not so a guy like McKenzie Gore who will walk some guys will get out of jams with strikeouts but you will walk some guys so balls finding holes are definitely a big problem for a guy like him now he goes to a ballpark that should be a lot more favorable also a better defensive team overall they cut some of the dead weight too you know I don't think Marcus Semyon's very good player anymore I don't least Garcia obviously had fallen off the face of the earth offensively they've gotten better in the lineup by cutting some dead weight by replacing you know a guy like Garcia with Brandon Nemo who I think is a really really good guy at the top of this order and they fixed the middle relief you know we'll see how the high leverage guys are in the bullpen but they've got more middle relief options now they've got a lot

18:48more depth in that spot when they had last year so by the way this is a team that for a Pythagorean win lost standpoint should have been 90 and 72 last year so I guess it's a team that was already going to be on the rise but I think the personnel got better too I really like the Rangers over 83 and a half and I do think if someone can run down the mariners in that division it is Texas for sure Adam let's just assume health here because I understand the the two teams behind the Mets are obviously incredible health concerns and aging Phillies team and then of course the whole Acunia thing and everything that goes on with the with the Braves but let's just assume health the current price plus 150 for the Mets 180 for the Phillies and 225 for the Braves do you feel they're all all the teams are that close or do you think this Mets team is a little bit further ahead of these other two yeah I think this Mets team is definitely further ahead you know I mean they could run a six-man rotation if they want to and it seems like they may do that at the outset here you know acquiring Freddie Peralta you can kind of protect Nolan McLean a little bit

19:50Kodaisengas battled his share of injuries Clay Holmes coming off of his first year as a starting pitcher you know you can kind of stretch these guys out a little bit I really like what they did at the back end of the bullpen too with Luke Weaver and Devon Williams I don't definitely Williams had a tough time in the Bronx but he's a really really good reliever and I think he has a bounce back season here you know once so does an elite player you know they certainly spent a little bit of money got a little bit better via trade and free agency and like you said I mean they're the Phillies are getting older you know I know Kyle Schorber is hitting tanks in the world baseball classic but you know he's on the wrong side of the aging curve so he's probably going to start to decline trade turner had his lowest slugging percentage in a very long time last year I don't know what Zach Wheeler is going to look like coming off of a major surgery Aaron Olo was awful last year they lost Ranger Svara's who's very reliable I think the Phillies and both the Braves are kind of on a bit of a downswing right now and I think the Mets will be able to take advantage here finally this season and kind of get to the expectations that have been put on them for a while now the ALE is probably the most wide open

20:51division especially when you're looking at the top four the Yankees come in as the favorites but they already have some issues at the top of that rotation with Cole and with Rendon both injured to start the season here plus 180 feels like a little too short when you're probably going to get a better number in season for them if you want to wait a little bit if you do believe in this Yankees team do you believe in the Yankees are they worth a bet if they start out slowly and if you don't what team are you interested in behind them yeah I'm not very keen on the Yankees for this season I mean Aaron judge just carries that offense in so many different ways and you know it felt like when Trent Grishon took the qualifying offer they were kind of mystified they didn't know what to do I think it really threw off their offseason plans and they wound up not really doing a whole lot till they picked up some depth guys and of course we signed Cody Belinger late in the offseason look Toronto has the chance to be really good again although I do think that they regress a little bit Boston and Baltimore are really the two teams that I like here because I think they have the highest ceilings in this division Boston their lineup is really good already and they have several

21:54prospects who are knocking on the door for a lot of playing time getting Ranger Suarez and Sonny Gray you're adding probably 325 to 350 innings worth of really really good value on a both of those guys and the starting staff has been the question for the Red Sox for a while now so getting those two guys is tremendously helpful for them bullpen should be fine and Baltimore's a team that a lot of guys were hurt last year and some guys played through injury and some guys missed time but I think Craig Albernass is a really really good hire of course he was Stephen votes right hand man the last two years in Cleveland and of course Stephen vote back to back AL manager of the year awards so I think Albernass is going to be a good fit there for Baltimore I think as they get some guys back healthy they're going to be in good shape the starting rotation could actually be really really good for this team I don't know that I'm going to play either the Red Sox or the Orioles for the division but they are the teams with the highest ceilings to me and I do already have a little bit of exposure on Boston for the world series around 15 18 to one in our last minute and

22:55half here Adam the inl central pretty tightly there is the Cubs plus 110 Brewers 250 and even some cases being made for the Reds and very very outside now I think the Pirates are going to be better I don't think they win the division but like 6 to 1 they're just on the Pirates as well I think the Cubs were the rightful favorites but I mean it's not crazy for me to think you get run down what about you yeah I mean I still like Milwaukee a lot in this division Milwaukee just they just find ways man they are so smart for a player dev standpoint they spend on just the right kinds of things and they always have a good bullpen like it doesn't matter who they lose out of that bullpen they find guys that can get out in high leverage situations this rotation has a chance to be really really special I mean Jacob mr. Oskie could take a big leap I think Logan Henderson takes the biggest leap of all of Brandon Woodruff can stay healthy a big if you know he's kind of an anchor of that rotation they're lined up is so good they don't strike out they don't chase they steal bases they put the ball in play they do a lot of the old school kind of things to generate runs yeah the

26:03then you start doing a couple of fouls and then it's just it's over so over one for me on the day yeah high point punches their ticket to the dance that is going to be a team that you're going to hear about as a possible Cinderella there in the first round so keep an eye on high point there as they finish off a very very good season end up 15 and one of the conference 30 and four overall and probably going to be one of those frisky 12 13 seeds that we hear about that being said we're going to make all the money back whenever we hit our trifectives over in Gulfstream so that's all that there we go did we did did one of them go yet or we good nope we're still good Gulfstream Park fifth race 10 minutes to post so the sixth race is the first race that we bet here so that will go off right after we get get off air here good deal good okay so that's that's that's our that's where we're shifting our attention I'm just gonna make we'll make the money back on the when we hit the trifecta so we just got off of Adam Burke and you know he he uh you know likes the Rangers um this is a team that obviously got the first

27:07good season out of Jacob DeGrom in several seasons uh when I when I say good season I mean actually being able to be out on the mound for a ton of starts I mean when he was anytime he has played DeGrom has been great but the problem is this him staying out there well you actually got a season out of DeGrom last year and so you start to look and you go you know are we going to did he figure something out Mike and like one of the things we did here heading into last year was that he was finally going to just say okay I'm fine living at 97 and I don't need to throw 100 right and and so with that he was able to get out there and go ahead and switch we have not seen in in quite some time and so you do have that with DeGrom a E of Aldi Mackenzie Gore nice addition there Jack Leiter who you and I were kind of up and down on last year a decent amount awesome starts or terrible starts does he find it in year number two for them and then whatever they're going to do with the fifth spot there in the rotation but again if if things go well one

28:12to four at least not one to five but one to four could be a pretty interesting little rotation here but there's a lot of F's there yeah there are and I think DeGrom is really the biggest F of the bunch you mentioned they'll reduce velocity to be able to make sure he could throw more innings did throw 172 innings and 30 starts last year the problem is that was the first time since 2019 he threw more than 92 innings so a big time jump up for him are we going to be able to see him do it back to back seasons that has to at least be a big time question mark and for me yes the Texas Rangers when you look at that that top end of that that rotation you're like it's pretty good one through four but if I told you that DeGrom is going to miss half the season which is what he had consistently been doing prior to last year is of Aldi Gore and Leiter one through three that you have faith in because that taking out that that stopper in the rotation does really downgrade the rest of these spots McKenzie Gore someone I think I've been interested in when he was in Washington one of those guys who when he pitches well feels like he is a top-tier front

29:13end starter and he is one of those post-type sleepers where he was highly thought of early in his career and highly touted prospect it's never really been able to completely deliver on the talent if he improves up to the level where he actually takes over the two spot from of Aldi here I think that's a big time positive for him but again you're you're kind of believing in something that hasn't happened before if that's the case and Leiter ton of talent will he can he put it together that's another one where if this is a ceiling team to me right this is one of those where if you get the ground healthy if Gore figures out if Leiter improves the ceiling for this Rangers team is pretty high it's just a lot of ifs and that to me is my biggest issue here with the Rangers and it's like yes we have we have sample size of the shursers and the virlanders of the world but we have DeGrom entering his year 38 season he's gonna turn 38 you know during the course of this season I dude that has had a lot of trouble staying healthy it's just it's I kind of just

30:13have to bet on what we've seen like like like it's a small sample size of him being able to get out there a ton and it's a huge sample size of him being injured so much and maybe again maybe the change in philosophy was what he needed to do just get out there and stay and I hope that that's the case I love watching DeGrom pitch it's been one of one of my favorite things there is it shouldn't been able to do it very much over the last half decade and so maybe that change in philosophy will keep him healthy here but I mean it's worth a mention he's gonna be 38 over the course of the season yeah he's not a spring chicken anymore and so you have to really hope that that new philosophy was the difference and he's not going to be a guy who's going to go 200 220 innings 170 is about where you expect you're hoping for 150 to 170 from DeGrom and so you're not you then have to really rely on the bullpen here for the Texas Rangers which is fine I'm not not awesome but it's a decent bullpen there and then it's about the lineup right and we haven't gone into it yet but you've got Seager you've got Langford you've got you added Nemo in the offseason you got Jack Peterson like there are some interesting pieces here the lineup

31:15just doesn't have a high ceiling to me though it doesn't have a low floor either but it feels like it's just kind of consistently going to be meddling throughout this year which then really puts the pressure back on this rotation yeah you need bounce back seasons from Josh Jung who had a great season two seasons ago last year OPS just fall off the cliff you need Langford in in Carter to kind of break out you know I mean like there are there are things that you need you need burger to get back to what he was doing whenever he was in Miami like there there are things that if it goes right I mean dare I say this team could actually be like a world series contender I mean I think that's certainly an AL pinnett contender if everything breaks right for this team because certainly the pedigree of some of these dudes is there we just talked about the one through four on the rotation so long as health is on their side is definitely there and so I mean I you know what you're gonna get from Seager he's awesome he's awesome every single year so I mean that you've got the step to set fast guy in there I just don't believe that it's going to break perfectly what I would say Mike for sure is if you actually truly believe in this team then you should just like go all

32:20out on it I mean you should bet them to win the division you should probably bet them to win the AL and maybe at the tiniest of sprinkles to win the world series because in order for all of that having their win total over and all of that because in order for all this to happen they need to run pure and if they run pure the sky is the limit for this team it's just I just you know I'm going with history as opposed to you know living in the on the very very end of the range of outcomes yeah I almost like him to win the AL the most of all of the different options because this feels like a team where maybe they run pure for three months Matt maybe they run pure in the second half and this is the team that is able to put it all together the McKenzie go and prove throughout the season lighter proofs throughout the season they're not good enough to run down the mariners but they get in as a wild card and it's a team that if to grama's healthy if you getting good pitching from Gore if of all these still solid if lighters there you have a good front end of the rotation that could make some noise in some playoff series so to me the the way that I would bet the Rangers if you like them from an upside perspective isn't the division

40:58and like I we talked about Nick Kurtz last year for rookie of the year better when he was five to one I'm excited to see what he does taking a step forward he was able to just mash pitching to especially in the second half of this year sorbestrum I think is interesting again Rooker has a ton of power this is a band box ballpark you're going to see a lot of home runs when they are at home as well like there's a lot of reasons to believe that this is going to be a fun baseball team now fun and wins don't necessarily go early yeah right this is that's that's the one thing you have to focus on because when you look at this staff it's just not good right I mean Severino's your one springs is your two like this this isn't a very good pitching staff at all this is going to be another team where you got to keep it on the weather see what's happening but this is another over team where like last year we talked about betting this team the games to the over I think this is going to be another team where you're going to see a lot of runs both giving up and score expecting to get that gill off back also at some point in the season deal with the show learned you've been I mean this guy got hurt last year but you know two years ago we're talking to 17 homers 25 steals out of him you know I it's there there's there might be an opportunity to bet this you
