This is ready. Set bets with Matt Brown and Mike Summich on V-Sand. These sports betting network. I said bet here on V-Sand these sports betting network. Matt Brown and Joe Sorallo in one hour down two to go. We start to look forward here to the elite eight games today here. Joe. And again, this is, uh, I know everybody talks about this whole Cinderella thing and not to get two sports talk radio stuff here. But everyone talks, oh, man, all the favorites winning and all that. Isn't that the reason we play these things? It's because we're trying to figure out the best team. Don't we want the teams that are the best to advance and move on? Like, I know it's like fun every now and then for the upset for for people to be like, oh, man, this is going to be chalk yet again. I mean, isn't that the reason we do this? We're trying to figure out who the who the best team is. Not a team that went out and played one bad game and then gets bounced from the tournament. You know, yes, you're right. And usually things have a way of balancing out when we get further along

when we get to the elite eight, the final four and whatnot. But I think what those people are longing for is the excitement opening weekend that we used to have that has really diminished. You know, like this year, even people were calling high point a darling and sure, you know, you look at high point and they come from the big south and it's a crappy conference. I would go so far as to call it a low major conference, not even a mid major. And they may look like a Cinderella, but now mad. I don't know, you know, if you're on the the TikTok game, like all the kids aren't how it is, videos are going viral of high points campus. I mean, they've got restaurants, you know, on that campus that look like no boos, right? So you look at even like today's modern quote unquote, Cinderella's high points there because they've got money, right? They've got like guys that were recruited by Kentucky three years ago in their starting line. If they've got as much money as these power conference schools that are still standing. So there really is, you know, we're seeing a diminishing a diminishing era of Cinderella's, right? Last year's one double digit seed in the sweet 16 was Arkansas.

This year's was Texas. Neither of those teams are Cinderella's. They're just teams that underperformed in their regular season that were ranked preseason top 25 underperformed and then made it out of the first weekend. So I do miss the parity and, you know, the runs on opening weekend, more double digit teams in the sweet 16. I do long for that truthfully, but yes, when you get to the elite eight, the final four, the championship, you'll want the best teams in the country yet. There are eight teams remaining Arizona plus two 45 to win at all. Duke plus two 55 Michigan is three to one. Then I'm pretty big jumped Illinois at seven 50 Purdue at 13. Yukon at 19 Tennessee at 30 and then Iowa all the way out at 55 to one. If you think that the Hawkeyes can get it done. So we go into the games today. The first tip will be at 609 Eastern 309 Pacific. That will be Iowa and Illinois. We're six and a half in favor of Illinois right now. 138 and a half is the total in that one plus 270.

If you think that Iowa wins this thing outright, when you take a look at this one, obviously, Illinois, a team that people have been high on all season long. Iowa, kind of the team that did come out of nowhere, though, there were some people who thought they maybe could make some noise this season. What do you think about the six and a half number? I think that the Iowa Hawkeyes mat might have the best coach in the country. And if I'm taking a team, I want Ben McCullough on my side. This guy is a proven winner. Three straight national championships at the D2 level could have been four. They were undefeated in the COVID season where the tournament got canceled. Goes to Drake wins instantly, goes to Iowa, has him here in the elite eight in year one leading the Hawkeyes. Man, there is nothing. I think this Iowa Hawkeyes team cannot do. So you're telling me that I'm getting essentially a touchdown with them against Illinois and, you know, underwood on the flip side, as much as I love McCullough, he's done a great job. This season with the Align, I, although they faded a bit late in the regular season,

but this is not a guy who has a lot of tournament success on his resume. And I look at the coaching differential, I look at the turnover differential, Illinois and turnovers forced dead last in the country this season. 365 out of 365, they forced turnovers on fewer than 10% of opponent possessions. Iowa 12th in the country, forcing turnovers over 18% of the time. So between the turnover battle and Iowa usually being able to dictate and control the pace of play to their liking. Illinois is clearly the more talented team, but I think the Hawkeyes have a recipe to keep this one close. Yeah, I don't want to like oversimplify the handicap or anything like that, Joe, but I mean, you're looking at a, you're looking at a low total, you're looking at a tournament game. You're seeing this Iowa team that maybe really is peaking at the right time. And you mentioned about the coaching situation for them multiple division two championships and all of that. And you look at six and a half points of teams got to win by seven.

And you're going, okay, I mean, three, three possessions. Really, that's where we're going to be here in the elite. I'm with you. I the only way I could go here is to take the point. That being said, it is juice to minus one 15 over at draftings. I don't know if we see seven before this thing tips, but just to, just to let you know, if you do want to take Iowa, there is at least a chance a seven could pop up. Yeah. And I think I actually got a seven for the circuit contest. Yeah, I'm in the college hoops contest. And this was, you know, that was my play. Iowa plus the seven. I have, I took three plays today, one tomorrow for the four elite eight plays. Two in the, you know, Arizona Purdue game that we're going to get to here momentarily. But Iowa plus seven to me was a no brainer. I jumped on it right away. And actually, as I say that, if you were in a fanatics market, so if you were out there in a fanatics sports book is available to you, they are at seven. So you can get the full seven with Iowa if you're in a fanatics market. So again, we say multiple outs Joe. This is why we say it all the time, right? I'd be sure that you have multiple outs and make sure that you have all the sports books in there,

just in case. And so there is a, it's, it's better to take seven than it is to take six and a half. I would say so Michael Rubin, man of the people. Yeah. A second game today, Purdue and Arizona. This is five and a half primarily. Though there is a six at Caesars right now in favor of Arizona, one 53, one 53 and a half. The prevailing total here in this one, it seems to me that it looks like that, that Purdue is probably going to be a trendy dog in this game. Joe, but man, I think Arizona has been the most consistent team all season long. It seems to me like they have been the best team in college basketball. My bracket is terrible, but I do at least have them winning it. So I can't still at least pick the winner in this thing. Where do you see sit in five and a half right now? Yeah, save for back-to-back games where I bet on them in each of them. Arizona has been the best, most consistent team all year outside of that little, you call it a losing streak, if you will, but I will say, man, Purdue is a funky team, right?

They were ranked as high as number one early in the season and had a really, I thought disappointing running conference play, right? What were they? 13 and seven in 20 big 10 games? I don't even know if they were, were they a top four seed in the big 10 tournament? Maybe the four seed, like it was disappointing watching the boiler makers. Then they go on that run, they win the big 10 tournament, upset Michigan, play their way up to a two seed. And I'm going to take one on the chin here and admit that I was wrong. I had them going out to Gonzaga who didn't even make it in the sweet 16. I did not think Matt Painner's team was a national championship contender. And Matt, I was wrong. This Purdue team is a legit title contender. Look at both of these teams, by the way, in postseason play are undefeated. Arizona, 6 and 0, Purdue, 7 or no, you know, including the conference tournament. Now the NCAA tournament, Purdue and postseason play comes in second nationally in offensive rating and seventh nationally in net rating.

However, here's the one concern of mine, defensive rating. They rank 180th in the country. Arizona's defensive rating this season, sixth in the country and postseason play. Their offensive rating is seventh. Their net rating is third. Like you said, they're the most complete team in the country. So do I think Matt Painner and this boiler maker team could hang in there? Do I expect a tough first 30 minutes? Absolutely. I laid five and a half with Arizona. I think Purdue will be within that number for the first 30 minutes. I think it's Arizona's depth, ultimately, that will help them pull away late. And I do think that they cover, but I think it'll be a tighter game than maybe the Wildcats covering could indicate. Yeah, and I will be kind of watching this early to see what the Arizona strategy as my guess is is they try to attack down low early, get those guys in foul trouble down low here. Joe, I mean, this is a team that leads the tournament in free throws in paint points so far. Now, I understand the competition has it was certainly not great in the first round and all that, but neither here nor there.

They have had a strategy. I wonder if that strategy continues here. You try to get those big guys into foul trouble, get them off the court. And then Arizona has a really, really big advantage. Yeah. And you know, you mentioned their size. It's also their depth, right? Like Toby O'Aqua, who's incredible coming off the bench. He's a double double in just 21 minutes. Forget he plays half the game and he's giving you 10 and 10 off the bench. He was a starter last year. He deserves all the credit in the world for accepting a sixth man role. Kind of a typical of a big to be in that sixth man role. But he comes in, plays half the game and gives you a double double. I mean, how many teams have that luxury, right? They're the first team in tournament history to have six guys score 14 or more. They have six guys averaging 10 or more points, including O'Aqua off the bench. So I think Arizona will ultimately prove to be too much. I also think with Purdue's defensive deficiencies, the over in this one is a good play as well. So this is, I mentioned I had two plays. Arizona minus five and a half over 153.

So we are, if you're following along here in the UFL, which I know everyone is, it's just a, it's a riveting game here over in the, in the UFL every time I look up the quarter, back to the running for his life, we're getting sacked. So I don't know exactly what the offensive line situation is here in this one, but it is 10 to three in favor of DC as the screen tells me, Joe, they were four and a half point favorites here in this one that we're going to need some scoring to get to that 43 and a half. Yeah, I mean, what are we doing here? They got the four and a half pre flop. They don't have live odds. Are they kidding me? By the way, if you see the 10 points, it was not your typical 10 points. How DC got to 10 is, uh, is a little funkier than your standard seven and three.

You know, that's a great point. They have the fixed odds on the screen. They should put an extra little thing over on the bug and just continually update the, the life spread as well. It was familiarized people with how this all works, right? I mean, that's another thing that this could do. We use it as an educational tool out there. Yes, that's what we're trying to do with the UF absolutely. Yeah, the UFL educational tool. That's pure automotive joy. I'm Peter, the owner of Muscle Car Junior. It started as a hobby. It's a bet here on V-Syn Matt Brown, Joe Srollow. We have everybody out on the course at the Texas Children's Houston Open. And great for my bets is Gary Woodland Bogie's one as does Nikolai Hoigard.

So both of them bogey one. So that's one whenever you have outright tickets on those guys. We'll see if they can write the ship here. It is still a two stroke lead for Woodland over Jason Day and Jackson. Super Sam Stevens does go out and get an early birdie to move within a couple of strokes there in that one as well. So as the day progresses seems like there's a little bit of wind going on over there at Memorial and Houston. And maybe that will play a factor here in the afternoon. But Joe there's one of the things that is very interesting of the last few years is bets just show up earlier and earlier and earlier over on the sportsbooks gives us more time to think about things. Is there any value? Is it worth us putting in the account and being without the money for so many months and all of that? Of course NFL bets are popping up over their left and right, including rush yards over under for some of these running backs that are going to be in new spots. And we start here with David Montgomery at 774 and a half.

Of course, getting out of Detroit out of the shadow there of Jamir Gibbs. And with that, you wonder what does what will he look like in what seems to be a full-time role? Yeah, you know, this one's interesting because Houston's offensive line was so bad a year ago. And for this team to have continued success, they're really going to need to revamp it. You know, they made some questionable trades like the one, you know, getting rid of Laramie Tumsle with sending him to Washington. Prior to last off season, it's like they continuously stripped down their offensive line and don't make a legitimate effort to replace those guys or to improve there. You know, so CJ Stroud, we've seen this guy actually and I love him. I loved him coming out of the draft. I said that he'd be, you know, prior to his draft, him and Bryce Young. I said, CJ Stroud should be the number one pick. I look like a genius his rookie year since then. I mean, this past season, dare I say, Bryce Young maybe looked a little bit better. How much of that is CJ?

How much of that is the offensive line? It's a rough group. Montgomery should absolutely clear this mark. But if the offensive line doesn't improve, it's going to be hard to. Here's why I think he will do it. CJ took an absolute beating last year. I think they brought him in because CJ Stroud was forced to probably throw the ball last year. More than they wanted him to since they didn't have a great run game. Now that Montgomery is there, I expect CJ and the passing offense to have a little bit of that workload alleviated. I expect the offense to be more balanced. I think on volume, Montgomery can get there. I also think he's a little chippy. He hates that Sonic and Knuckles comparison. I don't know if you saw when he did that podcast with the St. Brown brothers. Obviously, they were teammates. Him and Amin Rahn. Amin Rahn is kind of jabbing him a little bit. But Montgomery hates to be associated with that power back label. He wants to be known as an everyday back. He touts his straight line speed.

And I think that he's going to be a little chippy now that he's RB one and not in a platoon role. So for that reason and the more balanced, I think play calling we're going to see in Houston, I do think he goes over 7.74 and a half. Yeah, I look at this number and a lot of reasons you would be like, oh man, so many red flags. He's 28 years old and like the lions were willing to get rid of him and all of that. The thing is, is him being in a part time role, actually is why I think that this is a decent number. And like you said, like more of an overlook than not for me. If you go back to his days in Chicago, 889, 1070, 849, 801. So he clears this every single time whenever he was a featured back there in Chicago, even when he was a part time guy in Detroit, 1015, 775, and then barely under this past year at 716 where Gibbs did kind of move more into the like 70, 30 role as opposed to the 50, 50 role. But now that he's back being the featured back, I'm with you. I mean, again, it's not he doesn't have the wear and tear of a typical 28 year old because

the last three seasons he's been used in the part time role. So man, I know you hate to bet overs on running backs. It is such a tough position and these dudes get hurt all the time and all of that. But I think the number is a little bit disrespectful. And like you said, I cannot imagine that the Texas did not spend all off season and everything up until kickoff, figuring out what to do with this offensive line and how they can keep like you said, CJ Straub from having to run for his life back there. And I think that has to include having at least some sort of run game. Yeah, guy gets sacked over 50 times a year ago. I mean, the playoffs, you know, Houston's defense was incredible against New England, right? He kept them in the game. It was CJ, you know, he couldn't get good looks at he had no time to throw the ball. Some of the turnovers were his fault. Some were not. He was just getting hit the second he caught it from the center. So yeah, they're definitely going to have to, I believe, increase their their run game usage here. And it wouldn't shock me that if this number gets closer to or even crosses 800 by August.

Kenneth Walker signs with the chiefs and with that, his number sits at 924 in a half. And so again, a much bigger jump than what we're talking about with David Montgomery, Ken Walker coming off a very good season there for the Seahawks, but they were willing to let him go with the price tag they knew that was going to be attached to him. And so lands in Kansas City Joe with a 925 number needed to clear the over. Yeah, I mean, look, is Kenneth Walker a guy who can do this? Absolutely. Are the chiefs and offense that will allow a running back to do this? That's my big question here now, 2023, Pacheco clear this mark. He had 935 yards. So he barely cleared this mark. You know, I want to see when's the last time the chiefs had a running back go for 1000 yards. I mean, man, I'm looking right now. I'm at 2018 and we still haven't gotten there. Here we go. 2017, Karim Hunt went for 1300. That's the last time a chiefs running back went for 1000 yards and chiefs running back

has only exceeded this number twice since 2017. It's not about Walker. And I feel like people will see this and Super Bowl MVP and they'll say that's disrespectful. That's low. He's way more talented than 924 and a half. That's true. He is more talented than that, but will the offense schematically allow him to get there? Will he have the opportunities to get there? And I don't think so. I'm not betting the under either, but this is a stay the hell away for me. And Walker also showed us, I think this season more than ever before in his career. How effective he is in the passing game. He is a great receiving running back as well. So he'll rack up total yards, but I don't love him to go over this rushing mark. Yeah. I think this is a pretty solid underplay for me for a couple of different reasons, one of which is it's a, it's a big numbers that is anyway to, if you paid the price you paid for Kenneth Walker, Joe, I mean, I think these teams have to understand. If you paid the, you did not pay the price for him to play the first nine games of the season

and then get heard and then you don't have the guy for the playoffs or your, or what, what you hope to be a championship run and all that, it would not surprise me if they take a late round running back in the draft or sign some sort of, you know, sign some sort of guy off the street or whatever to come in and siphon off 20%, 25%, 30% of the carries. In order to try to protect their investment because this was a lot of money paid to Kenneth Walker. And I think that you look at this and say, we're not going to go beat this guy up and beat him to hell at the first half of the season when really we signed this guy because we think he's a difference maker when we actually need him, which is down the stretch for the playoffs and maybe even a championship run. Yeah. I think it's a great way of looking at it. You want to keep him healthy? Absolutely. You know, like I said, the chiefs with Patrick Mahomes as quarterback, this mark has been exceeded once. They've never had a thousand yard running back. I just don't think the play calling is there. You know, they have a knack for kind of a saving their guys. They now maybe maybe they take all 17 games more seriously next year because this was their first awful regular season in the Mahomes era, but this is a team that usually kind of

coasts in the regular season and turns it on when they need to. So with Montgomery out of town, Jameer Gibbs comes in with a number of 1249 and a half. We need 1250 rushing yards from Jameer Gibbs in order to clear this number. I mean, Joe, is he amazing? Yes. Is he electric? Yes. Does he have, I mean, huge. We're talking 70 and 75 and 80 yards. Yes. All of that will happen. Still 1250 is a whole lot of rushing yards. It's tough, man. He went for 14 a couple of years ago and they still had the Montgomery platoon. This past year, they still had the platoon. It was a little more lopsided. He goes for 1223. So now Montgomery is out of town. I feel like people are going to jump without Montgomery there to say, well, if he went for 14 with him, he'll go for 15 this year. Another thing kind of like the chiefs, right? The Lions expect to be not just in the playoffs, but in super bowl contention every year. I feel like they're going to want to save this guy a little bit. And like my argument with Walker, Gibbs, even more so than Walker,

is a huge part of their passing game. So don't confuse how great he is in terms of total yards with strictly rushing yards. I can't bet this number. I think he'll have 1700 and 50 total yards, but he's also, you know, he does a lot of his damage in the receiving game. And now that he is your number one guy, maybe they want to preserve him a little bit for the postseason because they won't have that tandem going in January. Like they have the past few years. Got sharp plays founded back in 2011, all documented records and logs public, published publicly over there at sharpplays.com. So go in when the sharp plays moves, sportsbooks do take notice, start winning with them over at sharpplays.com. There is now another seven in the market. Caesars joins fanatics. So Caesars at seven now in favor of Illinois and Fandall. Now it minus 118 on the juice there for the six and a half in favor of Illinois. So again, if you want the Iowa side,

if you're in fanatics market Caesars market, you're getting the seven and you might want to hold out. Looks like Fandall's going to get there. Welcome back to ready set bet with Matt Brown and Mike Sommage on V-Syn. These sports betting network. There's that bet here on these sports betting network, Matt Brown. Just for all in here, Sommers decides to just, you know, Galavant around the world. You know, we don't need it for the next two days. So we're going to hold this down, get you some good information here, including, and I know people are going to, this is where the oh boy, not again, but at least this is just a, seems to be next stiffness, but the Rangers have scratched Jacob DeGrom from the start today against the Phillies. I know, I know, I know, I know. I'm not even playing off your oh boy here. We go again. You know, I'm a lifelong diehard meds fan. I've just seen this play out too many damn times.

It's like at least it's not an arm or a shoulder or whatever it's, and it's next stiffness, but they do scratch DeGrom. They're going to go with Jacob Lats is going to step in and start for the Rangers today against the Phillies. But man, he was healthy last year. You had those glimpses of when he was in his prime at his heyday, Joe, and like, like, you know, we're big baseball guys. And of course, you being a meds guy, I just am a pitching fan in general DeGrom, where it was must start, you know, it was must watch stuff for me. And we'll be able to see him kind of look at least somewhat normal last season. And then now we're starting. It's not even, now it's neck. It's not the neck. We can't even keep this guy's neck. All right. I mean, come on, Jacob. Well, you know, it's funny, Matt. And, you know, look, we're both former pictures. We're both big pitching guys. Obviously, I do have that, you know, additional layer of being a meds fan with DeGrom. And I feel like because he has a baby face, we forget how old he is. But I remember this because we have the same birthday, but we're exactly 10 years apart.

That means in just under three months, he's going to be 38. Yeah. That is bizarre. And, you know, he, you remember, he came up later, right? He came up, I want to say 2014 in May. So I'd have been turning 16. So he came up a month before his 26th birthday, right? He was an older rookie. So you couple that with injuries. The guys may be played like 910 full seasons, but holy crap, he's already about to be 38 years old. So you get the arm issues. You get the neck issues. And now it's like father, you know, father time undefeated, right? Corks ticking on DeGrom's career. It is a curious case. And you said it before, not to get two sports talk radio-ish, but is DeGrom going to be a Hall of Famer? I mean, the dominance is there, but the longevity might not be. And, and, you know, there's a lot of people I know that we're talking up the Rangers in the off season. And the, you know, and around that was a talking point. It was, it was DeGrom. And like you, you bring up a very good point.

This is going to be his year 38 season. And you go back and 2020, 12 starts, 2021, 15 starts, 2022, 11 starts, 2023, six starts, 2024, three starts before last year, where he finally had a full healthy season. But I mean, we have much more sample size recently of him not being able to take the mound than we have him taken the mound. And I think it was a little, which is why I was kind of loving the fact that people were, were hyping up the Rangers as much as they work. So I thought that was going to be a prime fave candidate here in this team. Because if you're building a handicap around peak Jacob DeGrom and don't get me wrong, if you knew, you were going to get 30 more starts out of him. Absolutely. Sure. I mean, yes, you won't, Jacob. Well, anchoring your rotation for sure. But the fact of the matter is, is I just went back all the way to 2020 right there. And more recently, Joe, we have much more sample size of him not being able to walk out there and pitch than being able to do so. Yeah, well, also to be fair, 2020 was COVID.

So he did, he was fully healthy in, uh, in 2020, 12 starts, 60 games. He did make every start 2021 is a real kick in the, you know, what for me to look back on that? Because if you recall, in those 15 starts, you know, opening day through June, whenever he went down, he was putting up numbers that we haven't seen since Bob Gibson in 1968 that forced Major League Baseball to lower the mound. Like Jacob DeGrom wasn't just having a good or even a great 2021. He was having a historic 2021 that surely would have been his third Saiyung and probably the difference maker when you look back on whether or not he's a Hall of Famer, if he stays healthy in 2021, he gets number three, he's, I think, a shoe in, oh yeah, being the Hall of Famer. The ERA was like 1.08 in those 15 starts. He had like a 45% K rate that season. Like seriously, like he was striking out like every other dude that stepped in the batter's box. It was unbelievable. The whip was like 0.5. I mean, it was nuts. I never saw anything like it.

I remember the day my step brother got married. I was almost late to the ceremony because DeGrom was pitching against the Phillies and we're in the air, being being upstate New York on the beautiful, you know, ranch, whatever they got married at. And I'm like, hold on dude, I'm like, you're going to be late to your own wedding because DeGrom is dealing right now. He has an auto base runner through four. That's the kind of year he was having in 2021. And to your point, Matt, we've seen one full season sense. And this year, part of the reason I'm low on the Rangers is because I doubted whether or not he could go back to back full seasons. And I don't want to overreact to a scratch start. He could pitch Tuesday. He could be 29 starts this year and be fine. But I don't think he will. And I'm pretty low on the Rangers. I'm low on that whole division. You alluded to the first place Angels earlier. I think that's an indictment on how damn bad the Astros are this year. To me, Seattle at, you know, even money to win the AL West was a no-brainer. I don't like even money futures. But I also don't like any of the other four teams to win that division. I put the bet in the account too. And it's like, I get it. I have to wait a long time to just make the same amount of money that I bet.

But I did not say a path for any of those other teams. And we'll see. So there it's now out to minus one 54 now in favor of the Phillies and Aranola. Again, Jacob Latz is going to step in for the Rangers. They are plus one 28 now, seven and a half is your total there in that one. My betting would not make me the king of March, Joe, here so far. I think I'm like 50% on my tournament bets. I would not be the king of March. Yeah, you know, March, and I track at the Joe Cerello on Twitter. I've got the public spreadsheet all my bets for the entire year, 2026. January and February is my best start ever. First two months of the calendar year. March as a whole, I'm like barely over 500. You know, hardly profitable this month. And, you know, Tim Murray, I wanted to kill him at the end of that show right before leading into us because he mentioned my record in the college hoops contest. I'm down to 16, 21, and 1. And I started on day one on Thursday in the round of 64. I had 12 of my 15 opening round plays on Thursday. Matt, I went eight and four on Thursday. And since then, I mean, I'm 817 and 1. Since it's been a bloodbath since an incredible opening day.

And it all started with that Santa Clara Kentucky game. That was my demise. That game was where everything turned for me in March. Yeah, it's been a rough go for me. And I guess, too, I'm just, I get, I got, I was so enamored with Florida. I was, I had futures on Florida. I had all iters of like that. And so for them to get balanced, it was just, uh, probably going to make it to where college basketball, which I don't, again, I don't bet a ton of college basketballs it is. Anyway, but when I had everything up, it's probably going to make college basketball a loser for me in 2025, 2026 because I was so heavily invested in, in the Gators. But listen, whenever you take a stand on a team and, and they are the first one seed bounced, and that's just kind of how it's going to work sometime. Right. Well, you know, here's the funny thing. I actually, so last college regular season, I was like fine, you know, like 53 percent, right? March madness a year ago, I was on fire, 37 and 22. I just had to check and pull it up because like I said, all, all these picks are documented. 37 and 22 last tournament, it was incredible. That carries over into this regular season where I'm 59 percent college hoops this regular season.

But the tournament's hard. March madness is a real rhymes with which to bet. And it's been a bloodbath really since, you know, since Friday of the round of 64. A small slate over in the NBA today, like we said, and there are some massive spreads out there too. So we got the tanking teams. So the spurs are, although some people did take the 18 and a half with Milwaukee, they're down to 17 and a half. So 17 and a half points spread there in that one. We have the Hawks and the Kings, which is a 15 and a half points spread in favor of the Hawks. And then we've got the sons and the jazz that is a 16 and a half point favorite. I know a lot of the shows here like to talk about the, you know, the tank of blusa, brain dead, parlay, things and stuff like that. That said, if you tried to play the spurs in the Hawks and the sons today, Joe, you still have to lay 435 for the parlay. Minus 435, money line, sons, Hawks and Spurs. So a three legged that you're still having to lay nearly five to win one.

I mean, it's absurd. You know what else is absurd? How about this injury report on the Piston's Timberwolves game? I saw that I was like, oh, Minnesota is a home dog plus 105. I mean, no kid for Detroit, no ant man for Minnesota. Jalen Dern doubtful. I mean, you know, Tobias game time to say, oh, these freaking injury reports in the NBA. Yeah. And then of course, you don't really know until right before the game and you're kind of just guessing how things are are going to play about it live. Like I said, I made a 10 bold predictions over on Vsyn.com. And I'm going to run those by Joe Cirolo and see if he agrees or disagrees with any of those. These sports betting network. Ready set bet here on VESIN. We have the Iowa Illinois line on the move here. Joe Serello. We said it was seven at fanatics earlier in the show. Then it went to seven at Caesar's. It is now seven behind me here at SERCA. It is seven and a half at Bet MGM. You can get seven in a hook if you want it with Iowa over at Bet MGM. If you're in a Bet MGM market. So this is at least as we sit right now. One way traffic on people back in the line. I mean, it's kind of... I actually love that. I want to know a little more. Is this like sharp money back in Illinois or is the public backing Illinois? Because if the public's taken underwoods team is a favor because they really have not been saved for the first 20 minutes against VCU, first 20 minutes against Houston. They have not really been challenged all that much this tournament. So if the public is backing Illinois, I'm great with that. Yeah, seven and a half on Kalshi too.

If you're playing the prediction market game like I am, although that is heavily juiced, you're looking at like minus one 25 on that seven and a half in Kalshi. But yeah, I mean, give me the more points, the better. I'll be happy, man. Getting seven in a hook. Let's get it up to eight. Why stop now? And so there we go. The screen flashes again. And so draft Kings and MGM both move to 139 and a half on the total. So it I don't know, like you said, I don't know if this is some group trying to make a line that they can come back in on the other side or what's going on here. But we're because it's still a long time. There's this thing tips, right? I mean, like it's not like this is happening in an hour or anything. I mean, we're still talking multiple hours until this thing tips off. So to see a bunch of action here at 1045 Pacific when this thing's going to tip at three o'clock. Pacific is certainly interesting. So like I said, these so the total now moves to 139 and a half at draft Kings and MGM. So some people play in the total as well. I like it, man. I dig it. Give me the points.

Give me McCullum. Give me the Hawkeyes forcing turnovers on over 18% of opponent possessions this year, while Illinois dead last in the country in turnover percentage. Give it all to me. Hawkeyes, baby. And in that Purdue Arizona game, like we said, if you're looking for six with Purdue seasons, the only place out there currently sitting at six, five and a half at all the other books in favor of Arizona. Okay, Joe, I wrote an article over on a visa.com 10 bold predictions heading into the major league baseball season. Curious as to what you think here start with number one, the white socks are going to beat their season wind total by five to 10 games. Now it's very low. We're talking like mid to high 60s was their wind total. And I understand certainly they get out to the early lead on opening day only to get absolutely thrashed after that. But if you kind of look at this roster that the white socks have assembled, and certainly they're going to need some of the younger dudes to to step up and live up to their pedigree and all of that, but they did make a couple of signings. I do wonder if there is enough here on the south side to bring in Murakami as well,

spend a bunch of money on him. I do wonder if there's enough here for this team with the monk gummeries and the teals and all the stuff like that, these younger dudes. If they can live up to some of their pedigree, if this team can't get close to 70 wins. You know, I think this team can hit. What's tough, what you're asking for is a lot of young guys to click, not one or two, not, you know, I'm going to use the easy comparison just because I'm a Metz fan, right? Like the Metz are asking Carson Ben to come up and you know, have a good rookie season, right? The white socks are asking three guys like that to do so. So it's going to be tough that all of them click. That's a pretty big ask. The other thing that scares me with them is they're pitching. You know, they have a couple electric arms, not so much in the rotation, more so in the pen. The rotation has some guys who can be decent, but I don't really see, you know, like when they had a crochet, like there's not one guy who you're like, okay, like I know that they're going to have a good shot to win every fifth day.

So, you know, I almost feel like would be an interesting angle for the white socks, especially when the summer comes around and the ball starts flying a little more with their lineup. I think that they could be a pretty good over team this year because I don't trust their pitching and I like their young bats. It's tough to ask for it all to click. I could see a world where they win 64. I could see a world where they win 68. What was the total 67 and a half? Yeah, it's like, well, that was kind of the predominant total out there, about 67 and a half, yeah. So I could see them going over that, but I don't think that they're in the low to mid 70s. I think their ceiling is, frankly, 70. I have the Yankees are going to go under their season win total by at least five games. And the reasoning behind this one is I think what's baked into this, Joe is that Garrett Cole is coming back and Carlos Rodón is coming back. One, we don't know when we don't know what they're going to look like. We have no idea if they're going to be able to perform at the level that they performed at whenever they had before these major injuries.

You are so reliant on one guy in Aaron Judge. We saw when Aaron Judge was out of the lineup last year for the Yankees team, they completely power outage. I mean, could not do anything at all. And so, I mean, this, this thing is 91 and a half. I mean, this is just, when I bet it, it's 90 and a half before the season started. I think this, and plus that division, right? Let's just look at the division. You said you're high on the Orioles. Let's, the Blue Jays are still there. The race figure out a way to win somehow. And a lot of people were on the Red Sox to be the kind of sleeper team to win the World Series this year. So I have the Yankees under their win total by at least five games. Matt, I am right there with you. And you hit the nail on the head with Garrett Cole when you said, yeah, he'll come back. But what will he look like? We can't just assume that when Garrett Cole comes back for being shelved for over a year, that he's going to look like a siong award winner, immediately off the back for the final half of the season. If he's even back for the full final half of the season. So that's a wild assumption. I think that this pitching staff is already,

I mean, looking fan, you know, no Rodan. Sure, they start great. They're 2 and 0. Max Fried absolutely shoved on opening day. We know who Max Fried is. He's a bonafide ace on most teams. He's a stud. But now today they're running out Will Warren. And it's only game three of the season. I think there's, you know, some value we haven't touched on this one yet. But the Giants, the 0 and 2 Giants, plus 110 is home dogs in this one. I think that they're an interesting case with Tyler Bailey on the bump opposite Will Warren. So I like the Yankees under also last year. Top heavy division three teams between 89 and 94 wins. This year, I think you'll have four teams with 87, 88 wins or more. Yankees could be a fourth place team. They could be a first place team. But no, I'm with you. I'm going under. I had my third prediction here. It's that the MVP races are already over unless we get catastrophic injury between judge and Otani. It would just have to be a catastrophic kind of fall off for both of those guys. Now, judge is certainly didn't look great in the WBC

and has not started off the year good for the Yankees. But this is a guy incredible eye at the plate. Usually OBP is through the roof. He's going to hit for power is going to whatever. And then obviously show Hey, we know what show he does. Show Hey is going to hit bombs and show Hey is going to pitch every sixth day. And he is an awesome pitcher as well. So I think there's maybe if you wanted to come in on a long shot just in case that, you know, one of these guys gets injured. But I just don't see a super compelling case for anybody outside of those two dudes. Unless again, they're on the shelf for a long time. I'll give you two compelling bases cases for the American league. Nationally, I agree. Yeah. You know, unless Otani gets hurt because he's doing what's never been done, you know, you're not going to get voter fatigue. He's not even he's not like he's an average pitcher. He's an awesome pitcher. That's the other thing is not like he's just hitting and pitching. He picking an awesome pitcher too. Right. I mean, you know, he's probably a top 20 pitcher.

And when he's healthy and he's out there and a top won him. So yeah, with Otani, you know, like, I want it to be one Soto. I want to see Soto go out there and take the MVP from Otani. I don't think you're going to get voter fatigue when a guy is doing what's literally never been done. With Aaron Judge, you could get a Nicola Yokech effect. We're like, Yokech just had his best year of his career and it wasn't one of his three MVP seasons, you know, you could get voter fatigue there. And if the Yankees underperform a little bit. Yeah. Sure. If Judge It's 50 home runs, that's remarkable. But it's not record setting anymore. So if Judge It's 50 home runs and the Yankees win total is somewhere in the 80s and maybe a team that a lot of people have written off this year, like the Cleveland Guardians, as they always seem to do. If they find a way to be competitive and maybe they're win totals in the 80s and they get to the playoffs. And oh, Jose Ramirez turns out a 40-40 season. I think a guy like Jose Ramirez could have a case for the MVP because the Guardians expectations are so low. If they're competitive, I mean, two years ago, he went 39 and 44.

Last year, he went 30 and 41. If Jose Ramirez has a 40-40 season, I think he's a guy who can get that award. The other one I'll give you. Pete Alonzo. If the Orioles, after a really disappointing 2025, come out there and top the Yankees in the standings in 2026, everyone's looking at Gunner. A lot of people look at Adley. I'm looking at Pete Alonzo saying, oh, maybe it's because this guy came in and popped out 45 with 130 RBI. And maybe he goes over, switches leagues, goes to the Yankees division as opposed to the same city and steals the MVP from Judge. I would eye Alonzo and Jose Ramirez. Both of those guys available. At least the draft games was as always shop around Ramirez at 16 to one Alonzo at 22 to one currently right now in the MVP race. Guys talking about your baseball right now.
