The league awarded them 4 compensatory picks on Monday, numbers 173 and 174 in round 5 plus 273 and 253 in round 7. That ties them with the Eagles and Steelers for the most this year. These extra selections come from losing key free agents last offseason, like Patrick McCarrie to the Jaguars, Brandon Stevens to the Jets, Malik, Harrison to the Steelers, Josh Jones to the Seahawks, and Trey Davies White to the Bills. Signing the Andre Hopkins helped offset one loss, but the net departures earned the picks based on the league's formula for salaries, snaps and awards.
