Rams Sign Veteran Long Snapper Joe Cardona

They agreed to a two-year deal with Joe Cardona, marking the first big move for new special team's coordinator, Bubba Ventrone. Cardona spent 10 years with the New England Patriots, where he won two Super Bulls. Next off season, he joined the Miami Dolphins and played all 17 games for them. A fifth-round pick in 2015, Cardona has appeared in 177 career games. He steps in to replace Jake McQuade, who the Rams signed last season amidst snapping issues. Beyond football, Cardona is a U.S. Naval Reserve officer. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 2014 and serves as department head for a security squadron in Rhode Island. This signing bolsters the Rams Special Teams Union as they gear up for the new season, bringing experience and reliability to a key role.
