Rams Sign Jaylen Watson: Strengthening Secondary

The Los Angeles Rams are building a strong secondary by grabbing cornerbacks from the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of next season. They just signed Jalen Watson to a three-year contract worth $51 million, including $34 million guaranteed. This comes right after the Rams traded for Trent McDuffy last week. Now those two talented corners will team up again, but in Rams uniforms as they reshape their defense. Watson ranked as the number eight top free agent this year. The 20-something defender was a seventh-round pick back in 2022 and spent four seasons with the Chiefs. Over 53 regular season games, he started 29 times and racked up 178 tackles, four sacks, three interceptions, and 24 passes defense. He also earned two Super Bowl rings during his time in Kansas City, so the Rams are betting big on his experience to boost their backfield.
