Rams Should Reunite with 3 Key Free Agents

On March 14th, the Los Angeles Rams have been busy this offseason with plenty of roster

moves, but experts say there are three key free agents still.

Available that the team should bring back, on the cheap, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo,

linebacker Troy Reader, and edge rusher Nick Hampton could all outperform their contracts

and feel critical depth roles.

Right away, top of the list is Jimmy Garoppolo, who head coach Sean McVay has openly praised

as a guy he wants back.

Nick Vay called him tremendous over the last couple of years, and perfect as a backup

who can step in and win games.

A potential deal with the Arizona Cardinals fell through at the last minute, leaving Garoppolo

available for the Rams.

Meanwhile, Troy Reader proved his value last season on special teams, where he set a

high standard the unit has lacked.

He can also contribute on defense since he knows the system inside out.

With some injury questions on the depth chart, Reader pairs well with recent signing Grant

Stewart.

Nick Hampton rounds out the trio as a solid run defender and special teamer who fits seamlessly.

He's experienced, respected in the locker room, and lets other players shift roles as needed

without any drama.

These low cost reunions would boost depth across special teams and defense, while keeping

familiar faces in a system they know cold, setting the Rams.

Up strong for the season ahead.
