Remember that bizarre two-point play from the week 16 Seahawks Rams game?

It sparked two rule-change ideas from the Rams last month, but they've now been dropped.

The play happened in the fourth quarter.

Seahawks' quarterbacks ham-darnled through a backward pass they got deflected past the

line of scrimmage.

Seattle running back Zach Sharbanay scooped it up for the points, tying the game.

Some officials pushed for changes after that.

One would treat those deflections like fumbles on fourth downs, the last two minutes of

halves, or extra points, potentially nullifying the score in.

Cases like this, they also wanted a 42nd clock to star replay reviews.

It took 100 seconds from the recovery to the ref's call, thanks to a tip from the prime

video rules expert to the league's analyst.

The proposals probably wouldn't have gotten the 24 votes needed anyway.
