the 37-year-old to come check out LA, those two go way back to Washington, where they

teamed up for five years from 2012 to 2016.

McBay was Cousins' offensive coordinator, the last three, helping turn him into a 4,000-yard

passer, three straight seasons, which kickstarted both their careers.

Cousins spent last year as Michael Pinnock's Jr.'s backup in Atlanta, stepping in for eight

starts after an injury and going five and three, including, a wild upset win over the

Rams on Monday Night Football.

That experience makes him a strong fit for McBay's scheme.

With training camp looming, expect the Rams to move quick on one of these vets to lock

down that backup spot and keep Stafford protected.
