and resigned veteran safety Cameron Curle to a 3-year $36 million deal.

These additions address clear weaknesses from last season, with McDuffy bringing elite

slot skills and Curle adding reliable snaps.

The Rams pulled out all the stops, even bucking their history of not overpaying its safety.

Fans and analysts are split, with many calling it a masterclass rebuild, while skeptics

worry about fitting all this talent together.

Closing roles in the slot between Lake and McDuffy could create headaches, and just stacking

stars is not guaranteed playoff success.

The Curle signing stands out as unusual for Los Angeles, who typically drafts safety's

cheap and let them walk.

At about $12 million a year, his tackle reliability comes with coverage doubts, raising questions

on value.

Availability remains a wild card, especially for McDuffy after an injury limited 2025,

with just 688 snaps, and Newcomer Watson, who snaps have trended down despite improvement.
