About this episode
Last night during Taraweeh, a simple yet profound moment unfolded. The imam recited a short passage from Surah Al-Baqarah, including the ayah:
“Establish the Salah, give the Zakah, and bow down with those who bow.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:43)
Immediately upon reaching this command, he made takbir and went into ruku, and we all followed.
This incident made Dr. Wahid reflect: Isn’t this how we should treat all of Allah’s commands?
🔹 When we hear “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High”, we say Subhana Rabbiyal A‘la. 🔹 When we hear “Send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ”, we say Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad. 🔹 But why don’t we apply the same principle to the rest of the Quran’s commands?
