Gene McCay was one of the fastest kids in the history of American minicycle racing, rising to amateur prominence in the 1970s and racing out of Lexington, Tennessee. But at the start of a promising pro career, he suddenly walked away. We got in touch to find out why, and he showed up at Loretta Lynn's with a suitcase full of memorabilia and a story to tell.
