0:00Welcome back to Challenges of Faith Radio Program. I'm Gary McCans. Thank you for doing anything like to acknowledge God and you are listening. It's here on episode 3218. The question is, are you keeping secrets? The story is told of a happy couple of over 60 years who shared everything with each other. They didn't keep a secret from each other except for one secret. The lady kept a box in her closet and told her husband to never open it. Don't touch it. For years they never talked about it. But the husband sometimes used to wonder what was inside that box. One day the lady got very sick and she lost hope to recover. She didn't want to keep any more secrets from her husband and asked him to get the box. When the husband brought the box, she asked him to open it. He opened the box and found

1:04two crochet dolls and a stack of money worth $195,000. The husband was curious about the content of the box and asked her about it. She said when we were married, you know, engaged, ready to be married. My grandmother told me that the secret to a happy married life was to avoid arguments. And if I ever got angry with you, then I should crochet a doll. The old man was relieved and happy to see that there were only two crochet dolls in the box. The two dolls, men and wife, were just angry two times during their whole married life. Then he said, dear, that explains dolls. But what about all that money in the box? Where did it come from? Oh, she smiled and said, that's the money I made from selling all

2:05those other dolls. Closing scripture in James chapter 1 verse 23 through 25. For if anyone's a hear of the word and out of door, it's like a man or woman who looked at his natural face in a mirror. But he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law of the law of liberty and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. The question still remains. Are you keeping secrets in your relationship? What are you?
