The Minnesota Wild Podcast is presented exclusively by AcroShield. I'm excited. I'm nervous. What, what, what, what, what through yet? Yeah, I don't know. I just feel like you're so day-to-day in the season's foam by and so much has happened that you don't even really think about it until it's here. So, um, probably won't feel real until not even warm. It's probably the game. I'm more emotional when you actually go back to Vancouver, right? Yeah, I'd say so. I mean, I think it's just been such a long year, like you and you in process. Like, a lot's happened. You don't even process. Um, you know, everything that's going on and you're just playing and at the end of the summer you can kind of reflect and look back on what the year was like most chilly rainy day. And they kind of didn't feel like enough food. There's some good weather there, too. So, um, that's all I'll say about that. You know, it's been like a crazy few months for you. But like, how would you, kind of, some of the things that's brought into life in this order?

Like, how much would you like going and enjoying it? Yeah, I loved it. I mean, it's a great group of guys. I love the coaching staff. You know, obviously, um, you know, tight with Billy. And, uh, I just think it's a great place to play and I've really enjoyed it. And, um, I felt like the month of January was really good for me to kind of get acclimated. And then you feel like, obviously everything that happened in February was unbelievable. But, um, you get acclimated and you leave and you're trying to get re-acclimated. Um, so that's kind of what I'm feeling like right now. But, really enjoying it. Kind of just, uh, obviously looking forward to being able to play a pile of hockey here. Um, but obviously you gotta focus on the next eight as well. What's your biggest priority here in football? Yeah, I mean, I think obviously the number one thing would be staying healthy and make sure I feel good going in. Um, but making sure my games and the good spot also and I'm playing how I need to play. So, I think, um, yeah, that's important for me and it's important for the whole team. You play a lot of minutes here during the year too.

Yeah, I was like, how do you feel physically? Like, is that something where you always play down so you can handle that kind of workload? Yeah, I feel like I feel physically fine. I just think, uh, the challenging parts this year have been, um, just a schedule being every other day. And it's like it's another game, another game, another game. Um, I think that's more mental than physical. And then obviously just being in Vancouver for three months and here for a month and more and for a month and back here. I think that's, that's the other part of it. How do you felt with your game overall? It's being here in terms of the contribution to being able to play. Yeah. I'm afraid of what your security might have to do. That's the fact that you can be a football player. Yeah, I mean, I think that, uh, it's not easy being traded, especially when you've been here somewhere so long. But I felt like in January I was playing, um, as good as I can. I felt like I played as good as I can at the Olympics. I think since I've been back, just, uh, there's a little bit, you're on the craziest high. And there's a little bit of a, uh, a low for, for a little bit there. But, um, I mean, now it's just like you're ramping up for playoffs.

So you're, you know, the desperation has to be high. You have to be ready to go. And I'm, I'm excited for that. So anyone in particular tonight will be different or weird. If you want to guess what I'm going to say. I'm sure there are, I mean, uh, I don't know. Like, you get so close to these guys and you play them and practice every day. And, um, I don't know. Like, obviously, playing my brothers, that's weird too. And I feel like I'm kind of used to this. And I was like this. It's just like, I don't know. Christmas time. I kind of feel like you feel comfortable here. I guess, right? Or kind of turn the page a little bit. I kind of play close to like a few weeks or a month before you started to turn the page a little bit more. I just think, uh, like just trying to learn the system, trying to, you know, play a part of it and be a part of it and, uh, understanding your teammates reads like, I'm someone that like, not that you guess, but you want to, if, you know, bolds is out there. Now that I've played with them 40 games, I like to anticipate maybe what he's thinking. And, uh, that's just something that comes along with time.

So I think that's, that's gotten better and, uh, being able to read off each other. And if we played together five years, it would be, you know, better than what it was at two years. And that's just time and, um, yes, that's how I feel about that. So what's the other way to when you see certain things left with the pop, you know, what they're going to do with it? Maybe. I don't know. No, I mean, you can't guess too much on the, it's when you get in trouble on the D-side. I just can't lazy any guess what they're going to do. Um, yeah, and honestly, I don't really know a lot of their guys like, um, obviously I played with some of the young guys there, but for three full months. Um, a lot of the guys I was there with, uh, for the meat in my six years right there. For an extraordinary advantage in sports, you need a game plan.
