Queen's University Severs Ties with Mitchell

They took a 10% stake back in 2023 to fund a new building for their institute named after him. But after fresh files from the U.S. Department of Justice dropped in February, linking Mitchell to Jeffrey Epstein's Circle, the school cut all ties. The film got a big screening at a festival in Belfast last June, and Queen's pushed it at events in Ireland and the U.S. to raise cash. That effort pulled in about 1.4 million pounds for their peace institute project. Folks at the University yanked at 35,000 pounds bronze bust of Mitchell from outside their main building. They also dropped his name from the institute, reacting to claims by Epstein Victim, Virginia Jufrey, who said she was trafficked to him claims, Mitchell flat out denies.
