In this episode of the Psychedelic Therapy Frontiers podcast, Dr. Steve Thayer and Dr. Reid Robison are joined by Reilly Capps. Reilly is the Editorial Director at HealingMaps, an organization and website that helps people find access to psychedelic treatments and retreats. Reilly has written about psychedelics for The Washington Post, The Telluride Daily Planet, LucidNews, 5280, Chacruna, The Third Wave, and the MAPS Bulletin. His reporting for Rooster, a Colorado magazine, helped catalyze the world’s first psychedelic decriminalization vote in Denver in 2019. Reilly is also a recent graduate of the Numinus Fundamentals of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy course. They talk about his experience in our course, what good psychedelic training looks like generally, the pros and cons of the inner-directed approach to psychedelic therapy, what it means to have a therapeutic lineage, various ways psychedelic tools could be used inside and outside the traditional mental health clinic model, Reilly’s experience with embodied inquiry, and much more.
