Protestors Paint Red Blood on Abbey House

Activists through red paint across the front windows and doors, and two of them climbed onto the entrance roof to make their point. Police quickly set up a cordon around the site, blocking off a stretch of Mosley Street to keep pedestrians away. Fire crews showed up early on to help manage the situation. The group behind it, People Against Genocide, says the red paint stands for the blood of people killed in the Palestinian West Bank, Lebanon and Iran. They're drawing attention to the heavy human cost there. They're targeting this building because it houses a firm connected to Albert Systems and Israeli weapons company. Groups like Palestine Action have hit similar spots in the past with direct actions. Right now, the standoff continues with emergency services on scene, and more could unfold as talks try to bring everyone down safely.
