Protesters Honor Khamenei, Clash in UK

They burned an Israeli flag, chanted death to the Israeli defense forces, and waved Iranian flags while holding supportive signs. The event at the Imam Reza Cultural Center drew convicted terrorists Shahid Butt, a 60-year-old running in local elections, along with lawyer Ahmed Yakuob, but served five years in prison for plotting bomb attacks in Yemen targeting Western sites. Anti-regime demonstrators showed up, leading to clashes that police had to break up. Officials from West Midlands Police are now investigating possible racially or religiously, aggravated public order offenses. A similar vigil happened in Manchester the day before, with hundreds attending and burning pictures of Israel's Prime Minister. Students Islamic groups have also mourned Kaminay online across several UK cities.
