When advocating for the victims of this violence a lot of the focus goes towards the people being affecting but many aren’t aware that pets can also be harmed. Safe Haven Foster Program is an initiative that aims to help find foster homes for victim’s pets to they can leave abusive situations. The Wisconsin Humane Society and Sojourner Family Pace Center has partnered together to create the initiative and CEO and President of Sojourner, Carmen Pitre joins the show to tell Kristin and Brian more about it.
