But yeah in Miami at a 10 point lead in this game in the second half I thought okay yeah they're pulling away and instead UMass rallies they've got this lead now.

5:30Yeah they just you know they I think they just fouled Miami here with nine seconds left so we'll see what happens they know getting points with the clock stop is huge for them definitely something to watch for as far as that goes but wow. In a conference tournament play it's crazy you see these ups that's all the time and Miami's been playing a lot of close ones lately too so I'm not super surprised that they ran into trouble maybe this game is the part that's surprising to me. Let's hit some Colour Murray news Jeff the NFL you know fire hose of of signings and trades and rescinded trades has shut off a little bit over the last 24 hours but big news of the day is that you know Colour Murray whose potential landing spots have really dwindle down it feels to Minnesota or Pittsburgh officially visiting the Minnesota Vikings today. Yeah and I think all along we thought that this might be the ideal fit Minnesota has got a team that could win right now but for the quarterback play so obviously you know Murray looks at this is a situation where he can step in I think you know a team like the you know the jets or some of the other rebuilding teams would have been a bad fit for him at least in his mind and I think even for those teams to perhaps unless they think that they you know they've done enough in free agency to try to be a competitive team so I get that there.

7:38I like the fit I like Minnesota the idea of them taking a chance it's going to cost them nothing too that's the thing you know Murray for whatever new team signs him it's only going to be for you know a minimal price because he's already still getting paid by Arizona so from that standpoint there I think it's an ideal fit you know style of offense that's the part I'm not quite sure about will that work with him in Kevin O'Connell well that's the thing I it's almost now more of is it a culture fit more than anything else. I think that's fair but I just go back to what is your other option if you're Minnesota you know do you do you dip into this this you know true veteran retread market where you're going after Jimmy Carapolo and it's like yeah you can you can sell me on that but there's not a ton of upside there I think you set aside the culture fit you set aside the the scheme fit with color Murray you get the talents in the building it's such an upgrade over JJ McCarthy I just I don't think you can go into next season you know with JJ McCarthy anointed as your starter at the very least you need to set up like a fake quarterback competition where you make a think he has a chance but look if you're bringing in Kyle Murray and Arizona is paying his salary next year

8:44Kyle Murray is going to be the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings and for sure like if I'm the Packers if I'm the Bears if I'm the Lions I want the Vikings to start JJ McCarthy I do not want Kyle Murray on this roster even though his reputation is not where it was two or three years ago I still think that it's just a massive upgrade over you know what your your secondary option would be in JJ McCarthy. 16:34against Derek Queen use of Nercut Luke a dodge and Danny Abdia so two of the four against big men use of Nercut to Derek Queen I think if those guys can put up a triple double against San Antonio I like Yokech to do it at plus 111 so we would give this one a four out of five if Wimba Miana is declared out what are Yokech's true odds at getting a triple double I honestly don't know if the Webman Yama thing matters that much you know it deters a lot of smaller players wings and guards from from getting to the rim you know that's something you you start to pick up on when you watch these spurs games is like you know somebody will blow by a defender or you know they'll be kind of a fast break situation and you'll see you'll see players just back the ball out right it would be an obvious layup for an obvious dunk against just about any opponent and against women Yama they don't even want to try it. Yokech to me is not really struggled against women Yama in his career I think he has women Yama has the length and the athleticism and the height advantage Yokech can still kind of bully him around a little bit so you know if anything not having women Yama

17:35out there you know maybe that that makes this more of an advantage spot for Denver I still wouldn't worry too much about a blowout though so as far as the the Yokech triple double odds are concerned that the women Yama factor to me doesn't really matter that much. 23:56playing I think they could hang around with the Lakers would not be surprised if Lebron does miss one more game especially with Denver on the schedule on Saturday so a lot of chatter lately Lakers have some couple of good games lately when Lebron's been out and some suggestions that they play better as a team when he's not around I'm not sure I'm buying that I think sometimes it's a opponent based and all that but it is hard to overlook you know just how good they've looked the last couple of games it is it is you know that those wins over Minnesota and New York are two of the best wins that the Lakers have on their ledger this season you know the the numbers with Luca and Reeves out there and Lebron not out there I think they're now what 10 and 2 straight up in those scenarios like it means something right like Lebron has slipped on the defensive end I offensively I still think there are nights where he looks like a top 10 guy in the NBA but the Lebron and Luca combination is just so difficult there's so much overlap right like these guys play a very similar style you know they both need the ball they both need a 30% usage rate to really be

27:17I still think they're in just because all these other teams are losing if you kind of if you still look at wins above bubble which the committee is using this season I think technically the first time they are using it if you throw that in their wins above bubble before this game was 33 and if you compare to other bubble teams Auburn's 44 Texas 46 VCU 42 so a lot of other teams are above them in wins above bubble and I think the committee is going to use that use that stat as a main reason to keep them in even if even if some of these other teams are complaining is like they haven't beaten anyone but at the end of the day you still want to feed in the regular season I think that has to count for something yeah it helps that teams like Indiana and USC lost yesterday Indiana kind of badly to Northwestern so yeah that definitely helps their case just a little bit more Auburn winning did not help their case so much but we'll see what the committee has to say about that I think Auburn versus Miami might be that inflection point especially because

40:04deep deep team you know it's not just the star power it's the fact that one starting pitcher goes down will come Blake snow because he probably won't be ready for the start of the season no problem they've got a Yamamoto they've got Otani who's uh full gonna give you a full year of starting this year Tyler glass now one of my favorite mid-tier starting pitchers is Emmett she in by the way not really becoming a bargain anymore you're now having to pay eight or ninth round price on Emmett she in i know you just did a Roto online championship draft yesterday at the NFBC i saw he went like the eighth or ninth round into twelve team draft so you can see people love him there but they have other guys like Roki Sasaki River Ryan Justin Robleski who probably might be third starters for a lot of teams the strength in the Dodgers is their depth and from a fancy standpoint that's really frustrating because it usually means they go six man rotations fewer starts for their stars they do they they get these uh you know a month off in the middle of the season for minor injuries they just kind of pace themselves that way but it works for them obviously they learn their lesson from earlier iterations of the Dodger strong teams where they'd have the dominant regular season team

41:08and then Fizzle out in the playoffs they now try to peek in the playoffs in terms of health especially with their starting pitching how much better on paper do you think this year's version of the Dodgers is compared to last year well the one big signing is they got Kyle Tucker right uh that you know they had Michael Conforto as their lone left-handed hitting outfielder last year obviously that Fizzled out pretty badly Tucker was the left-handed hitting outfield target in the free agent market this year the fact that he went there I think a lot of people had went up in arms about that especially because again he took deferred money which other teams aren't doing maybe other teams can't do as readily uh it's something they happily do and they do it all the time and players do it too because this is a way for them not to pay the the pernicious state taxes that California often has is if they get paid off at later in their career with their no-logger in California it seems like that works it's one of the reasons why Otani signed with the Dodgers because of that sort of backloaded sort of deal um but yeah that that works out really well they got a established

42:11closer in Edwin Diaz going at the top of the market there as well Dodgers minus 650 to win the division plus 120 for the pen and plus 230 just preposterous odds to win the world series let's go over to the Padres Jeff beyond the Dodgers is where this division does get a little bit interesting I mean we're looking at a 19-win gap in in wind totals from the Dodgers at 102 to the Padres at 83 and a half in a lot of departures a lot of moving pieces for the Padres this off season and this was the team Jeff that you took as your under on the wind total and the visa futures draft yeah no they won 90 games and they're totals at 83 and a half so there's obviously a lot of expectation they're going to fall off I think it might even be a more severe drop off and I hate seeing it because the Padres have done the right thing they've tried to compete they've they've gone all in they they've been rewarded with a great season ticket base one of the best crowds in baseball but I think it's going to be a tough year they backfilled a lot this year they lost stars and they tried to backfill which is a potential bargain so for instance you know no more

43:13Dylan Seas in this rotation no more than you Darvish out for the season they win instead and they tried to fill in the bargain bin with like Griffin Canning who's coming back from an injury her and Martin Hermann Marquez who's coming back from being a rocky all of his career you've been coming back you know Walker Bueller a guy who used to be Walker Bueller showing a little bit of a velocity increase its players like that are trying to win a spot in the rotation they lost Robert Suarez their closer Mason Miller obviously they traded for it the trade deadline last year so he's only closer but it's just one less link in the chain and it comes to their bullpen and in the corner outfield spots and at first base they're kind of having almost open tryouts so that that's they've got guys like Nick Castellanos McGill and Dohar Son Mumsong Ty France all competing for playing time there let's move over to the San Francisco Giants and 81 and 81 team a year ago 80 and a half fittingly is our win total for 2026 plus 190 to make the playoffs in the national league minus 230 to miss 17 to one to win this division to me Jeff it kind of

44:17one of the more boring teams in baseball just not a team with with a lot of like you know interesting young players interesting veterans just kind of there you know they'll they'll be about an average team most likely who who's intriguing who do we need to know about on the Giants so you know they made their big splashes last year the Willie Thomas signing trading for Rafael Devers there's pretty calm this year in terms of like you know who they added they try to improve their defense that yeah adding Ernest and beta to center field they had perhaps the worst outfield defense in baseball last year and so that that is something that's done to address that the problem is like Harrison beta rarely can make it through a season unscathed he does tend to get banged up a little bit there so I expect to be a little bit of playing time issues in terms of just him getting through the season but other than Devers they don't have a whole lot of star power the guy you want to watch Bryce Eldridge top prospect doesn't even qualify at first base in our fancy leagues was more of a DH last year he got hurt was dealing with a wrist injury had a procedure done for that in October he's healthy now he's someone I think adds some very neat at pop into this line up there

45:21their rotation is is not that great after Logan Webb who's excellent Robbie Ray is Mercurial up and down up and down with him whether he's got his control is always the debate for him and then guys like Adrian Howzer Tyler Malley Landon Roop they're really hoping one of those guys breaks through they're an 80 81 and 81 team last year they project to be very similar again this year so we don't have a whole lot of separation Jeff once you get beyond the Dodgers in the NLS right Padres win total 83 and a half giants 80 and a half then he got the Diamondbacks at 79 and a half we already know that you are you are outright fading this and Diego Padres would you would you consider a future something like plus 250 on Arizona to finish top two in the NLS like if you're fading if you're fading the Padres who is that number two team in the NLS to you that's it might be the giants because they're a little bit more stable but this is this is going to be a volatile division there's all love for the Diamondbacks and the NLV feature strap that we did here on Vesen I'm not on board with that really I just don't trust the pitching

46:22I think it's they think they're kind of running it back they brought back Merrill Kelly they brought back Zach Allen maybe they can get more out of them they're bullpen they didn't really meaningfully add they added like Paul C wall there and they're really counting on guys like you know this is the year the Jordan Waller steps up that that's the thing I'm wondering about I'm probably not in on the Diamondbacks let's finish out quickly Jeff on the Colorado Rockies win total 54 and a half kind of feels like they've hit rock bottom is there is there a reason for optimism if so what is that reason yeah Paul need a deep padesh is there they chances are they probably have the internet in their front office now so good for them on the historically bad team last year minus 424 run differential is the worst in the modern era by 90 your runs I mean it they it was they smashed that they added some hitters that could probably help some of their guys will probably be better hitters expect them to score more runs by accident they were the second run lowest run scoring team in baseball despite playing in chorus field let that wrap around your head for a second

47:24there goodness gracious man I I'm glad we're short-changing the Rockies they they actually deserve it of all these these final teams yes in each division that we've got through all right Jeff we got to finish out the show with our best bets of the night we are both going over to the NBA and I see you have a Memphis Grizzlies player prop for us yeah there's a lot of expectation this could be a high scoring game and for good reason it's the number is at 239 and a half but I'm fading GG Jackson in that 28 and a half PRA just because of the just the he hasn't hit that number in like the last seven times out Memphis is too egalitarian they're playing time I don't think he hits that number yeah it should be a lot of points on the board two tanking teams but as we as we try to preach each and every day the Memphis Grizzlies play everybody somewhere between 20 and 27 minutes so not a ton of upside there give me the under 220 at 222 and a half excuse me in Sixers pistons tonight just not enough offensive options out there for Philly going up against an elite defensive team and we will take the over six and a half boards for Jaila Brown's got over this now in eight
