We got a big Major League Baseball slate, only three games yesterday, so not a whole

lot to unpack in Major League Baseball, but I'll give you all my favorite basketball

plays.

Jeff will have the baseball plays covered as the show rolls along.

Jeff, we had big news in the NBA last night.

For one, Lakers Thunder, which I think a lot of people had circled as potentially the

game of the night.

We talked about this as, and it's not really a spot where I trust the L.A.

Lakers.

Look, I didn't think they'd be down 30 plus at the half.

I mean, this was a full on blitz from the jump by the OKC Thunder.

I felt like they did not miss a single shot early on.

And look, we knew the Lakers weren't going to crawl back in and win this game.

Never really felt like they were going to cover the eight and a half, but to literally

add insult to injury, Luke at Dodge Hitch went down with a hamstring injury.

He tweaked it earlier in the game.

They allowed him to return.

This is not good for the L.A. Lakers.

No initial timetable quite yet for Luka, but look, we have like nine days left in the

regular season.

This is easily something that could carry into the playoffs now for Luka.

Yeah, absolutely.

And you look at what Luka has done in the past there, you know, just having these injuries

in the past.

It's something you watch for Jeff Stots on Roto.

I was talking about the link to this type of hamstring injury.

And it's usually like eight games or so, maybe, maybe if you're lucky, five to eight

games, but this puts the first round the playoffs in blocks here too.

No question.

I mean, I've been saying the Houston Rockets are the team you want to face in round one.

Look, if the Lakers, if the Lakers go into the playoffs with Luka Dodge Hitch either hobbled

or not in the lineup, I think all of a sudden, you know, the three seed L.A. is the team

that you would be targeting.

I don't think there's any chance the Lakers win a playoff series, whether that's against

Denver against Houston against Minnesota without Luka Dodge Hitch playing at full strength.

So tough blow on the NBA slates last night elsewhere in the NBA.

We had the Hornets commanding win over the Phoenix Suns fell behind by double digits in

the second quarter.

Rally back ended up turning that game into a blowout.

Khan Knipple broke Kemba Walker's record for rookie three pointers made.

Just incredible season continues for Knipple.

He is your rookie of the year favorite.

And one other note from last night, Jeff, we had the San Antonio Spurs blowing out the

L.A. Clippers in L.A.

Without Victor, Webanyama.

And this is one of those injuries that crept up without really any notice, you know, sometimes

you'll see a little bit of a suspicious line and you'll wonder, okay, why is this setting

where it is?

We saw a huge, huge line movement.

Once Webanyama was ruled out, just didn't matter, man, this Spurs team is such a wagon

right now.

Spurs don't lose.

You said at time and time again, it holds true.

You did point out that line was suspiciously low, even before he was ruled out at three

and a half.

And obviously someone had a hunch that maybe he wouldn't be playing there.

That's why it's as low as it was.

And it didn't even matter.

That's the thing.

That's so amazing.

All right.

So let's take a look at the slate for tonight.

We got nine games in the NBA, Timberwolf Sixers is where I want to start, Jeff Sixers does

not look like Joelle and bead is going to be out there tonight.

I'm not really sure what's going on here.

We had that weird situation earlier this week where the Sixers tweeted that he's out and

be quote tweets it and says, what are you talking about?

I'm playing.

They're not allowing me to play.

Yes.

I may have missed shoot around due to an illness.

I want to be out there.

He ultimately did not play on Wednesday and that was listed as doubtful for tonight with

that same illness.

So Sixers unlikely to have him be.

We have no idea if Anthony Edwards will be out there.

He sat out last night and other pretty surprising rule out because Anthony Edwards now is

ineligible for all NBA for any postseason awards.

We'll have ended up losing to the shorthanded pistons last night.

So this is a tough game.

I think to evaluate not knowing if Edwards will be out there.

Sixers currently a four and a half point favorite two thirty four and a half is the total.

Slightly into the over for me.

If we get word that Anthony Edwards plays both these teams top ten and pay sixers are

top five in pace over the last ten games.

They've had some laughably high point totals.

Now most of those have come against bad defenses, but Minnesota has slipped a bit in that

regard over the last few weeks.

This is a huge game for for Philadelphia specifically sixers loss means they would fall into

the play in zone because we would expect the close to full strength raptors to beat

the Memphis Grizzlies tonight.

So imperative for the sixers that they want to hang out in that top six to avoid a loss

tonight.

The one prop I would play right now, Jeff is just going back to the well on Tyrese Maxi.

Without you well and bead in the lineup, we've talked about it all year.

It's a big boost in usage.

So I'll take the over twenty eight and a half points on Tyrese Maxi.

This is up to twenty nine and a half already at some other books.

Yeah, I wanted to ask you something about the games played requirement for all these

postseason awards.

It's been a pretty big narrative the last couple of weeks when dealing with Edwards dealing

with Luca last night, also the dialogue around Kate Cunningham.

It's been a big issue.

How much do teams and players really care about this?

Is this more of a media generated issue?

Is this a real issue for players and teams?

I think the players care, right?

You know, a lot of players will come out and say, you know, with I guess G.A. for instance,

this week was asked about MVP, you know, and they're like, do you want to make a case

for yourself?

And he said, no, no, no.

They tried to downplay it, but I think these guys absolutely care, right?

They're extremely competitive, like making it all NBA team, especially for some of these

younger guys, you know, maybe it's not as big of a deal for LeBron who's made twenty

all NBA teams throughout his career, but you know, some of these guys who are just breaking

through, even if you're making second, third team all NBA, that's a big deal.

I mean, that's oftentimes tied to to contract incentives as well.

So I get what the NBA was trying to do with the games minimum.

This was, in my opinion, yet another short-sighted solution to, you know, players sitting out

too many games.

It was something they enacted a couple of years ago when load management was at its peak.

And if you look at the players, and there are a ton of big name guys this year, Jeff,

who are going to be ineligible for the awards are going to be ineligible for all NBA,

none of these guys are sitting out games for rest purposes.

All the guys who are ineligible have had legitimate injuries throughout the season.

So I think this is something that the NBA should re-address this off season.

I agree.

All right, Nick, let's talk a little bit about a Hawks and Nets.

Hawks need to keep on winning, the Nets keep need to keep on losing.

Well, first of all, Jeff, while you were doing that read for RotoWire.com, Joel and

Bede, moved from doubtful to probable for tonight, which almost never happened in the NBA.

So there we have it, already kind of reassessing that Tyree's maxi play.

I still don't mind it at 28 and a half, but obviously like that more when three minutes

go, we thought Joel and Bede was not going to play.

So yeah, if you're just tuning in, Joel and Bede, moving from doubtful to probable.

All right, let's look at Hawks Nets.

This is yet another game in a string of what has just been a crazy, easy schedule for

the most part over the last two months for the Atlanta Hawks.

They've won 17 of their last 20 games, or 17 and a half point favorites on the road.

Like you said, Hawks need to keep winning because they did dig themselves a decent hole

before the all-star break.

There were four games under 500 coming out of the break and correction, they've actually

won 18 of their last 21.

Despite that, there's still just one and a half games ahead of falling into the play in

zone.

So there is still plenty of urgency for Atlanta from now through game 82.

Meanwhile, the Nets, they want to keep losing.

They're in a good spot right now to lock up a bottom three record.

But every other team in that zone is trying to do the same thing.

So they should not have much interest in winning this game.

I don't think we're going to be in danger of that happening.

One thing I'll point out with the Nets, Jeff, they're the worst offense in the NBA over

the last 10 games.

That shouldn't surprise anybody.

But they're the worst offense in the league by nine points per 100 possessions.

That is insane.

That is a crazy, crazy gap between the Nets at 30th and the Grizzlies at 29th.

That's roughly the same gap as the number one offense to the number 18 offense in the NBA.

So the Nets have just been brutal on that end.

They're not playing like a Porter Jr. anymore.

I think you have to look at the under in this game.

Nets have gone under in nine of their last 11.

This is the highest total 225 and a half that they've faced since their last matchup with

the Atlanta Hawks back on March 12th.

That game sailed under the total of 226 and a half.

This Nets team, they slow down the pace.

They do defend the three point line.

And they are top 10 in defensive rating over the last 10 games.

So you always worry about a team like Atlanta, which has so much firepower right now, running

up the score.

Every single night, it's going to be a slog for the Brooklyn Nets even to get to 100 points.

So I lean under here.

All right.

How about Bulls nicks?

The nicks coming off a big win.

They're now at home.

Bulls have tons of guys on the injury report.

I think they're using a couple of turnstiles on defense judging by the way they played against

the Pacers the other night.

Yeah, this is one where I don't really love anything right now.

Carl Anthony Towns popped up on the injury report for the nicks.

And on paper, this would be a great spot for towns who's been excellent on the glass,

especially over the last month or so.

But this could be a rest spot for him.

You know, nicks are our big favorites.

Bulls are not interested in winning games.

And like you said, Chicago currently has 10 players on the injury report four out five

probable and one questionable in Nick Richards.

So if we do get cat ruled out, maybe turn your attention over to OG and a no B would

look at his points plus rebounds.

But no early plays for me right now on Bulls nicks.

All right, cool.

Real quick Raptors Grizzlies unique lineups are the way the day here for the Memphis Grizzlies.

What do you got in this game?

Yeah, so Raptors big favorites.

They should have pretty much all their dudes back tonight outside of a manual quickly.

The Grizzlies signed two more players, Jeff to 10 day contracts yesterday to wreak whitehead

and Toby O'Connie.

If they both play tonight and they likely will, they will be the 30 second and 33rd players

to suit up for a game this season for the Memphis Grizzlies.

If they use a different starting lineup tonight, which they likely will, that will be 43 different

starting lineups on the year for the Memphis Grizzlies.

I think this is a spot where I look at the Raptors team total over one twenty four and a half.

I look at the over two thirty two and a half in this game and work noting without a manual

quickly, Scotty Barnes has had double digit assists in all six games quickly is missed.

So give me the over eight and a half assists for Scotty Barnes.

Tim, appreciate you giving us some of your time.

Let's dive right in and we'll start of course with the game that I think you'll be keeping the closest eye on the game.

I'm most excited for on Saturday night in the late window.

Michigan as a one and a half point favorite against Arizona.

I've been thinking about this game all week.

I'm trying to find an edge for either one of these teams and I know Tim.

You think this game might be decided by a pair of guards in Elliott Kado for Michigan and Jaden Bradley for Arizona.

Yeah, there's there's absolutely potential draws in every spot.

I look at the front line and you've got three NBA players for each team.

And I think Elliott Kado and Jaden Bradley is going to be fantastic.

They're both high octane, they're tough, they're physical, their handles are great.

They're good shooters, not great.

And I do think that they are keys.

Now, when you think about who's going to win this game, I really think a big part of it is establishing tempo.

And so if that happens, it's going to start on the defensive end.

Both teams fantastic on the boards.

They have shot blocking threats.

But if you get the ball to your point guard in transition, both these teams are loaded on the wings with high flyers that they could make some amazing plays.

But I'm like you, I was laying in bed last night and I'd able to sleep trying to figure out what's going to be the matchup, what's going to be the key element that turns the favor.

I can't find one.

I think this is a historically close battle.

Yeah, yeah, a lot of people are wishing this would be the final.

Both teams play fast.

That's one of the things, especially in the tournament, Michigan's been playing especially fast.

Who does a faster pace, but who have more Arizona or Michigan?

There's no question to me.

I think Michigan needs a fast pace.

The average 95 points per game in the NCAA tournament.

Both teams can play half court, but I just think that Arizona's size and strength.

If it's a slow game, it's going to highlight them a little bit more.

Also, when you look at Burys and Lendaborg at the three, one of the things that makes these teams so special is that, you know, most college teams have a big guy that can match up with with Mara or Mo.

And then they have maybe an undersized formula.

Well, these teams are loaded across the front.

And I think that Burys and Lendaborg are tough covers.

And they both desperately want to score.

If you get those guys in transition, somebody's going to get a 25 point game.

And that may be enough to tip the scales in the favor of their team.

Tim, see you mentioned the actual Lendaborg.

He's been the man for Michigan throughout the season.

And I think as this year has gone along, we've seen his game expand.

You know, he could play inside.

He could play in the mid range.

He's certainly comfortable on the perimeter.

Now, he will turn 24 before the next NBA season begins.

He's going to be drafted, but you know, we're not looking at him as a top five,

maybe not even a top 10 pick because of that age.

But look, you played a decade in the NBA.

How do you see his game translating to the next level?

Exceptionally well, and he's learning a lot.

He came to Michigan because he wanted to learn how to be more of a professional, how to lead a team.

And, and, and I, I would, I would go on the record saying that he is the most versatile forward.

Two way player in the history of Michigan basketball.

And I'm not saying he's better than Glenn Rice or Kazee Russell or Gary Grant.

But he is the most versatile.

And, and there have been a lot of times that that I thought he was getting passive.

He doesn't really care that much about scoring, but his team, his coaches have been imploring him to be aggressive.

Be the alpha dog, you know, we want you to shoot drive to the basket, make plays.

And he's now just starting to get comfortable in his own role.

And, and it's been a lot of fun to watch because I think he could be a fantastic pro.

And really, he's 24 years old.

But if I'm an NBA team, I want a guy that can cover all five positions on the court is so versatile.

And, on the other side of the final four matchup, we've got Yukon Illinois.

Obviously, very familiar with Illinois for their matches with Michigan.

How do you think that game stacks up Illinois versus Yukon?

Yeah, I think that Illinois wins.

Their, their size is, is a big advantage.

You know that when they played earlier this year that Yukon won.

But I, I like the fact that Illinois has this great size.

They love threes.

Wagler is, is, is a, he's a tough cover for everyone.

And while I love Danny Hurley and what they've done, I just, I think that, that the size and the improvement that we've seen from Illinois this year is going to give them an advantage.

So I wanna ask you,

we just kind of got your lean on an Illinois Ucon, but from a Michigan perspective.

Let's say Michigan takes down Arizona tomorrow night.

Who would you rather face as a Michigan alum as a Michigan fan in the national championship game?

Who scares you more?

I would read I would much rather face Ucon.

And Michigan size creates a lot of problems for a lot of teams.

problems for a lot of teams, and so Illinois, that was possibly Michigan's best game of the

year when they went to Champaign.

Maruz Johnson was their center last year, and that's a very tough game for him.

It's very emotional, but just the size of Illinois impresses me so much.

And with their ability to spread the court, it creates a lot of space for Keaton Wogler.

So once again, love, Yukon, scared to death of Illinois.

In Michigan's coach, Dusty May, that he was in a national semi-final three years ago

with FAU.

What makes him so suited for today's day and age in college basketball?

Man, I am so glad you asked that question, because I finally have an answer that I think

is really good.

On Wednesday, I went and attended Michigan's practice, and I went in with the thinking,

how hard do you go on Wednesday before the final four, because of the fact that, like,

what if Ellie Kadov steps on somebody's foot, what if somebody sprains their knee?

Like I would be really reluctant to want my guys going up and playing full tilt.

And what I saw amazed me, they went for an hour and 50 minutes, and they were running

sprints, and they were scrimmaging, and implementing all the different Scott and report things

that you would do against Arizona.

But all of a sudden, I had a revelation.

I think that the Dusty May superpower is that when he was in his formative years at Indiana,

he became a Bob Knight disciple.

And Bobby Knight was so hard in practice, I was an alternate on the US Olympic team in

1984, and I spent a summer playing for Bobby Knight, and this guy was tough, and he was

mean, and the practices were vicious, and Dusty May has the same type of philosophy.

He's hard, he's confrontation, he comes across is such a nice guy, but he's got a mean side,

and his players have adapted that, and I think that's what really makes him special.

Talk with Tim McCormick, joining us on the progressive guest line.

So Tim, you know, the way that Illinois has built this team, a little bit different than

how Michigan and a lot of the other elites have gone about it, obviously going to the transfer

portal, Illinois, you know, going out to Eastern Europe to build this roster.

Do you think this is something we'll see more of across college tubes in the coming years?

Well, one thing that you're going to see is that the top 15 power programs are going to

load up with big guys, and I think it's going to be really interesting that a lot of big men

are going to be overpaid, because Michigan's big guys and Arizona's big guys are super talented,

like when you look at buries, like he's the kind of guy that's going to come into the NBA,

like Carmelo Anthony, and score 15 to 20 points a game from day one.

Like when you're going out there to try and load up your roster to look like Michigan,

Arizona, I think a lot of people will, they're going to go all over the globe to try to find

all guys that can shoot. The other big factor is what Marais Johnson does.

He's out there able to cover one through five. That's a great, great asset.

Colby, good to have you back on the show. I first have to ask you. I was following from afar.

I know you and the rest of the guys from the sports gambling podcast network were out in Vegas

for opening weekend. Extremely jealous to see all the fun stuff you guys were doing with V7,

out at Circa. Has your body fully recovered now that you've had a couple of weeks?

Yeah, I mean, I think it's finally, finally caught up to me. And look, I had a bunch of

co-workers trying to get me to the final four in Indy. I passed this year. I said, I'll see you

next year. But, man, Derek Stevens in circuit, that was a great party and it was a great time.

But man, and your 40s, it's just a little different. You got it. You got to make sure you get some,

you know, I just missed vegetables, some sunlight, some vitamin C, you know. But it's finally come

back around. I feel like I wake up now and I feel decent. But man, I'd be lying to you if I didn't

tell you after a week in Vegas that, you know, you feel the effects, especially if it's different

if you live there. I feel like if you live there, you know how to play it. But as coming in hot,

it's tough. Let's talk a little Tommy Lloyd. We just got breaking news. Five of your extensions,

stay with Arizona, pulls him out of the North Carolina speculation.

Yeah, no, that's substantial news for me because, you know, he and I guess well played in hindsight,

you know, using it as leverage. But, you know, that was one of the things that really concerned me

about that game because I'm on Arizona guys and I thought Arizona's got a pretty decent,

to me, I feel better about the Arizona Michigan game than I do the other game. But the only thing

that kept my head scratching a little bit there of like, man, what if he is out and taking this

Carolina job? What if the Jordan phone call did happen? Right? So I was wondering that, you know,

that was kind of a cloud over that handicap. And now that that's worked out, I think not only

where the players rejoice knowing, you know, some of the guys will be back next year with some of the

youth they have. Now, now I think, you know, I can go back to feeling decent about the game. And

so I think it's substantial news. I'm worried about that because if you knew Arizona's finances

over the past couple of years, it's kind of they had had some financial issues. The Wildcat's had,

I know that they, I think they got rid of a president and they have a new, new, new president

there. But that's why I thought it was very logical. When the dusty May talk was going onto

to Carolina, I thought, Ah, Michigan's got a ton of money. I don't know that I buy that one. But

Tommy Lloyd, I really thought it might make more sense for him. But shout out to Arizona,

the Wildcats and a bear down faithful. I'm sure it should be rejoicing right now.

Yeah, I'm nothing else. Just taking that cloud out from over this game heading into tomorrow night.

Kobe Dan from the college experience joining us on the progressive guest line. Kobe, I assume you're

just a college hoops historian. I haven't cleared that with you, but you just give off that kind of

vibe. So I want to ask you this Arizona Michigan game. Where does this stack up for you as far as the

great semifinal games that we've seen over the last, I don't know, 10 or 15 years, you know, Kentucky

Wisconsin in 2015 comes to mind UNC Duke in 2022 just because of the rivalry, even though, you know,

UNC didn't necessarily have the seed that year. But have you been this excited for a non-national

championship game in a long time? Yeah, I think, I think, you know, you can put it up there with

those. Now, obviously, the Duke, Carolina one with that history of rivalry and then coach case

final game potentially or either way, whether they won that game or not, he was down to his final

two games of his career. That one, I think, might still be higher, but I'll say this and I said

this on our show is like, we went back and I think pinpointed. I think I was like November 22nd,

where we said on our show that these two were the best two teams. I hope they played

each other this year. So fast forward all these months later, it's fantastic to get this matchup

because really throughout the season, they've been the best two teams. I know Duke was really good.

But I think consistently throughout the whole season, these have been the best two teams. I don't

think that's shocking anybody by me stating that, but yeah, to finally see it and I thought it

was kind of funny that you did have both coaches that were rumored to be with Carolina. So to tie

that all together, it's really great to see this one. I know some people complain. I never

understood the complain of why I wish why couldn't we get this in the championship game.

To me, if you're in the final four, it doesn't make a difference. You know what I mean? What's it?

48 hour difference? To me, you know, go back to when Laitner beat Kentucky. All right, that was

the best game of that tournament. And that wasn't the championship game. So I mean, apples and

oranges there, it doesn't make a big difference. I think if you really look at it from bird's eye point

of view. But yeah, I look, I'm fascinated by the matchup. I do think Dusty May has a slight

coaching edge with him taking FAU to the final four. Even with the Lloyd Cloud removed, I thought

there was a slight edge to Michigan there on the coaching front, but I thought roster wise,

you know, that really Arizona was in a good spot to take down Michigan here just because of the

guard play. I've kind of been focusing on this all year waiting for Michigan to play, especially

the tournament, a team with elite guards and bigs that can match up with them. Remember LJ case

in Zindry with Michigan, they haven't really missed a beat. I wonder if this could be that game

where they where it actually adds up as, you know, that just to me, that the guard play of Michigan

Kado is going to have to play one of them now. Last time I called him out, he had an unbelievable

game at Michigan State, right? But I just think it's a really bad matchup for the guards. I think

Burys and Bradley are going to stress out those Michigan guards. Now I do expect Tommy Lloyd's

game plan to be because they actually hit the three at a decent percent. The problem is they

don't shoot that many threes Michigan or Arizona. So I actually think they're going to they might

shoot a little more than traditionally in this matchup knowing that the Michigan bigs

are going to give Arizona bigs. Oh, they can handle as well. But yeah, I'm on Arizona. I think the

guard play, the one, you know, red flag to me about Michigan this year. I didn't think they could

win a national championship with the guard play and guard play travels so much in March. But you're

kind of seeing a renaissance of the big man over the past three or four years in college basketball. So

if maybe that tide is turning. So, but I'm on the wild cats. I think the guard play will be all

the difference there. But I'm fascinated to watch, you know, just the bigs. I think Lyndon Berg. I

the actual Lyndon Berg, the UAB transfer. He's going to have to have a huge game for Michigan. I like

his, I liked his, I think you can get 20, 20 points or more over at DK at plus 155. That's one

thing that I'm on because I think regardless of whether they win or lose, he's going, if it's

going to be a close game, he's going to have to get his. So the, the, the old man there,

Yaxel, Lyndon Berg, I think is a good play in that game too. Let's talk about the other final

four game, Yukon and Illinois. When they played earlier, Keaton Wagler barely played in this

game. He wasn't as big of an impact on that game. Yukon was structured a little bit differently

as well. How big of a difference is it going to be in this game?

Substantial because it wasn't only Wagler. I believe it was, they had, if you go back to the first

game, so you kind of played at the garden. First off, if you know anything about it, you kind of

the garden. That's like 98 percent, you know, Yukon fans there. But Merkivik, Merkivik only played

limited minutes as well. So Wagler and Merkivik, I think combined for about 29 minutes if memory

serves me correct. The, the, the other side of that though is Yukon's terrace read got in foul

trouble. He only played 14 minutes and terrace reads playing arguably the best ball on the team

right now. So something's got to give here. I ended up, I don't have as strong as a feeling on

this one because I believe Illinois's roster is better than Yukon's. But there's something about

giving Danny Hurley this much prep. I've seen Underwood have, and I thought Illinois got a very

fortunate path to get here. Underwood historically has got outcoached in March. Man is often by,

a by Danny Hurley last time they played in March. Man is when Yukon went on a 30 oh run in that game.

But also Porter Moser, when he was at Loyola, Chicago, I thought just completely, completely got them

outcoached him. So I'm going to take Danny Hurley. Another thing is I also think the pressure of a

final four matchup. He's still got, you know, solo ball, caribbean. Those guys have been there.

I actually like the caribbean that that's another one going back to going back to a prop that caribbean

only had five points against Duke. I like 15 points or more at plus one 25. You look at that. He's

had more than 15 points every other tournament game except the Duke game, which only had five points.

He assists though of winning the game with them there. I think they he bounces back. I like

with a two run shot. So Emmett Sheehan, he's already given up a three run homer, Miles Michaelis,

We talked about the big news in the prospect world, Jeff. And we will see the debut of Connor

Griffin later today for the Pittsburgh Pirates. It'll make his major league debut. He'll be in the line

up at shortstop. Sounds like he's close with the Pittsburgh Pirates on agreeing to a big money

extension. Yeah, looking at nine years, 140 million dollars, a big, big contract, trying to buy out

all of his arbitration years in his first couple of years in free agency. A lot of teams like to

try to do this before they call up their top level prospect there and make him lots of it in

there. They they're not worried about losing out a year in a year and leading out an arbitration.

Batting seventh today in the lineup for his debut, expect a lot of speed from Connor Griffin too.

He'll probably strike out a decent amount. He's got power and speed. One of the best prospects in

the age 19 year old prospect there. These guys are unicorns, expect big things. Some of the number one

on the money line. You will notice the total up at nine and a half. This is Christian Javier going

up against Jeffrey Springs. How do we break this one down Jeff as the A's return to Sacramento?

We're back at a time when we get to bet overs on A's games again and Sacramento games. This is a

source of profit for us especially early on as a realization of like how much of a hitter's ball

park it would become. Wasn't quite clear. Now it's more priced in here and you can even see this

this total is at 10 in some outlets there are some shops but I found it at plus at 9.5 minus 125

though over at MGM. I'll take that half a run for that price though. Christian Javier has an ERA

over 11 after his first start. Shay Langleyers is off to a great start at the plate. It's Dinger

Friday as you mentioned and we're going to go with Shay Langleyers in his home run prop. Best price

I saw is plus 265 over at Fandall. We are about 20 minutes away from Padres Red Sox out in Boston

sunny Gray going up against Michael King Red Sox a minus 122 favorite on the money line total

eight and a half there. What are you playing in Padres Red Sox? Okay so both teams are struggling

right now. The Padres are two and four just lost two out of three at home to the giants after

losing two out of three the tires before that at home. The Red Sox they've lost five in a row.

They won an opening day and they haven't won since. Michael King versus sunny Gray in this one here.

This is interesting because Michael King is a guy that gives up home runs at a slightly higher rate

to right handers than left handers on the road and more at home. So I wanted to try to find something

that fit that but all the right handed Red Sox bats are kind of slumping right now. Caleb Durbin

hasn't had his first Red Sox hit now after they lost Alex Breggman to be a free agency much

to the angst of Red Sox fans out there. So I'm going to go the other side of this coin here.

sunny Gray has given up a decent amount of number of home runs over his career you know at

a St. Louis last year he was giving up more home runs than at home. So we're going to go with him

giving up a home run to Manny Machado who has a career 10 10 16 OPS against him in 35 at bats

and three career homers against him. Manny Machado plus 517 over a DK for Dinger Friday.

You're Cincinnati Reds on the road in Arlington later this afternoon a 4 p.m. Eastern first

pitch Brady Singer taking on McKenzie Gore home opener today for the Rangers.

Yeah it is and Globler Park played as a significantly tough park to hit in last year. So that's

one of the takeaways our little harder to buy into Dinger Dinger Friday when you're playing

in this ballpark. However right handed hitters actually hit for a decent amount of power. If you

use a stat you know stat cast metrics there Paul ballpark factors over at baseballsevant.com

right handed power was a 105 factor 100 is average so it was a slightly above average for right

handed home run. So we're going to go with you know we're going to go a little bit with that but

the problem is you know looking at the at the reds in some of the right handed hitters I wanted to

go that way I wanted to go with white Langford but it was a little tougher especially because

Brady Singer is who we're going to go up against here. So I like the white Langford prop but I like

better Corey Singer with the lefty home run prop and instead a plus 340 I'm going to throw a curve

ball at everybody including myself apparently plus 340 is Corey Singer is that is the home run

prop. I'm also going to go with McKenzie Gore with the strikeout prop over six and a half

case you get that minus one 30 at Fandall Reds lineup has been king a lot first game on the

road for them getting out of great American small park there I think they K a decent amount for

Gore who's a huge strikeout pitcher. All right before we get to our best bets our official plays

for the Vsyn March betting challenge chef what do you got for Cubs Guardians. I like the pitching

matchup in favor of the Cubs on this one here Cade Horton versus Joey Cantio. Cantio struggling

with his command is opener Cade Horton is an emerging star I really think he's going to do great

Cubs were really good against lefties like Cantio last year seventh and Wobba fifth and WRC plus

Cantio allowed 10 homers last year all of them at home seven by right hander so I want to find

a right handed Cubs let's go dance these swans and plus seven 10 over a DK for the Dinger for

Dinger Friday. More important I like the Cubs on the money line minus one 18 over at Draft Kings

pretty good price for I think was a clear advantage in the starting pitching matchup.

Best bets of the night best bets for you heading into the weekend Jeff we we've saved your

favorites major league baseball prop and then we have three picks in the betting contest for the final

four between us so I'll let you lead us off. All right let's go with the baseball best bet first

Dylan C's over seven and a half strikeouts against the white socks at plus one 12 over at

Fandwell C's struck out 12 in his opener against the A's E's in prime form there the only the

A's strikeout more than the white socks is opponent today at third in the white socks strikeout at 34

percent rate. Let's go over seven and a half strikeouts plus one 12 at Fandwell for the

decent betting challenge I'm back in Arizona plus one and a half versus Michigan the Tommy

Lloyd news obviously augurs well in their favor I just think they're the best team of college

basketball the fact that we're getting a point and a half all the more in favor of that there

is on a plus one and a half. All right we need it we need it Jeff one four for four in the elite

eight we are currently tied top the Battle of Eason leaderboard with these arrive time and the

numbers came so we're taking the wildcats plus one and a half give me the over 139 and a half

in Illinois Michigan and both of these teams they don't mind slowing it down Illinois especially

but they they are just so efficient offensively they're so efficient on the offensive glass

I think you have to also factor in some potential shooting progression for Yukon Jeff

and we got 145 points in Duke Yukon with the Huskies scoring 29 in the first half Duke scored only

28 in the second half we still went well over the posted number for this game tomorrow night

Yukon shot it at only 44 percent from the field they were five of 23 from beyond the arc you have

to think that comes around and we'll take Illinois minus two against Yukon I think Yukon shoots

it better I still trust this Illinois team more I trust the Big Ben for Illinois I think

Keaton Wagler a match of nightmare for some of those Yukon guards and you see Illinois is a

three seed Jeff this team profiles as more of a one seed maybe even a high end two seed but

we'll take the Alignite we'll take the over in that game that's going to wrap a fun week for us
