The Commonwealth Secretariat revealed a new partnership with his Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation to boost ocean conservation efforts. Earlier this week, Secretary General Shirley Batchway announced the collaboration during her meeting with the Prince on Commonwealth Day, March 9. It ties into the Commonwealth Blue Charter Project Incubator to support Marine Protection projects. People were caught off guard because Monaco is not one of the 56 Commonwealth member countries. The event at Westminster Abbey Drew King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, and nearly 2,000 attendees from across the organization. The partnership will speed up ocean work in Asia and the Pacific, offering grants up to 50,000 pounds for early projects on pollution, fisheries, and climate links.
