We do appreciate it. A prediction time, gentlemen. Always fun making the predictions. Sometimes quite painful going over them at the end of the year. The great confidence that we attack this with each time is always a lot of fun. You do your homework, you look at it, you think I nailed it, and then we look at it at the end and go, what the hell were we thinking? How did we not do a better job of predicting the entire NFL? So, you know, do you have anything that jumped at you, Jeff, real quick on, you know, putting together this little exercise? It was hard to make predictions this year, from me, especially on the ASC side of it, you know, as far as the the standings where teams are going to end up. But I felt like there were a lot of things when it came to the individual predictions that I was better at last year. Maybe I was, hey, but I've been burned so much. Maybe I've made so many mistakes that I'm overthinking this knob. I find myself trying to pick winners now instead of ending up with losers. I think that's the case.
Is that it? Is that it? You're so kind. You're so kind there. Well, well, well, well, well, address the elephant in the room real quick. Serenna and I both had Sam Darnel as our disappointment last year. And so, I think I did. I think I did. Sam said we did somewhere. I don't know. I tried to block that stuff out. Yeah. Well, you know, listen, I'm like a corner and short memory. I'm on the next year. Nothing. Nothing's going to, nothing's going to rattle me on this one. I'll tell you that. Sam, any, any quick takeaway from grinding through it? Yeah, I feel like I've never put so little time into it. So that I've never felt so confident that this is going to all work out in the end. I'm only like halfway, halfway, Jokey. I mean, look, we covered the NFL. We know the sleep. We feel like we know the sleep. Pretty decent, but usually I like to spend a couple hours before the show starts getting into it. Maybe about half that time, but it felt enough to be honest.
I felt like to Jeff's point, you could overthink these things. So why not go with your first thought on some of this stuff? Okay. All right. Let's get to it. AFC East. Who's one of the AFC's Jeff? Who do you got? This was easy. Buffalo Bills. I don't think it's going to be close. And I thought that they were the best team in that division at the end of last year, even though the Patriots won it. And I feel like coming back, I like Jim Leonard coming in as new DC to run that defense. They should be more aggressive and getting more pressure on the quarterback. I like Joe Brady staying as head coach and moving up to head coach because he knows Josh Allen. And I think Josh Allen's going to be motivated. I think when you fire a coach the way they fire Sean McGurman, you can go win it two ways. And I'm going to see it going the way it went when Denver got rid of John Fox and went to Gary Kubiak. I think it will be an upgrade. And I think Buffalo will win that division. I've got the bills as well. Sam, do you have Buffalo? Yeah. I agree with some of what Jeff said.
Although I don't think the bills are like, you know, some world beatered the way that I thought the bills last. I picked them to win the Super Bowl a year ago. When you look at the path they had, I still think they should have gotten to the Super Bowl. But they're more flawed this year. I think than people think they are. Yeah. I do too. I don't think it's a slam dunk. I do expect the New England, you know, step back. They don't have the cushy schedule. And it's definitely not going to be my amy or the jets. So I mean, it's a two team pick. And I think the bills are the right pick. But I do think it could go wrong. By the way, the printing job I sent 10 minutes ago is now printing. I just, uh, fantastic. I got it. 1996. When we all, when we all got in here, I'm like, the printer sometime by the way, everybody worth the reason somebody was complaining with three minutes late is because we had to go over the printing situation. That's the rents house. I apologize. It's kind of pretty. I don't know. We'll see. We'll see if you see a paper come out right back there.
You know, you'll see if something comes out. I'm not going to say that. Uh, little Amazon return, you know, it's, it's printing out, it's printing our picks live. That's what it's doing. It's the ticker. Uh, all right. So we're all on Buffalo in the AFC. The AFC North. Where are you going, Jeff? The bangles. Cincinnati. And we might splinter here. But I'm, I'm high on the bangles because they've got a schedule like what New England had last year. It's very favorable. One of the best. I think it might be the easiest schedule. Um, I know it's certainly in top five. But the way Joe Burrows talk is excited about their offense. And I do believe their defense would be better. It was improved at the end of last year and some of the additions, the boy, Muffets, the. Cashers, Howls, the Brian Cooks. Um, I think it's going to help this team play at a higher level. And I think that the AFC North is not that strong. Okay. Uh, do you concur, Sam? Yeah, I do actually. I thought I'd be the only one on the bangles. I mean, look, the Ravens are the favorite. Um, and just for a little tease here, I mean, I didn't pick. I think half of the favorites this year.
So I've got a few like these. But, uh, I think the bingles are, uh, are primed this year. They're, they're set up for, for this to be a good year. Of course, it's always on control picking this team. Because now you're in the boat. The fans are in which is just rooting for the health of the quarterback. Because he hasn't been healthy. I mean, three of his six years, he hasn't been healthy. But man, they added a lot defensively. And they have, by far, the easiest schedule in the AFC. There's, there's a team in the NFC. I think they're going to be able to do that. I think they're the easiest schedule in the AFC. There's, there's a team in the NFC that, you know, I'll certainly mention for the same reason. But this year, this, these two teams last year were the 49ers and Patriots. 49ers and Patriots both made the, I'd buy far the easiest schedule in the league. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I think it's, I think it's a great point. I had the bingles as well. Um, I do really. Okay. Wow. I think they're sleeper. I like the schedule. I mean, you, you jumped all over that schedule hard last year. So I was one of the things I was checking out. Um, I know the Ravens are the favorite, but not by a whole lot of the Bengals. Are they, is it, is it, you know, Bengals are definitely second. The, the Bengals are second.
Ravens are even money. Um, Bengals plus 165. Okay. Yeah. I do, I, I like the Bengals this year. I think this is, uh, this is the year they put it together. They stay, stay healthy. Health is always a question for everybody out there. Uh, so I've got the Bengals, uh, in the AFC North as well. I assume we're going to differ somewhere, but I don't know that it's going to be here, Jeff. Where do you go? At least, I think you and I will be on the same. Here's CMC is going to have the favorites. Uh, where, where are you going, uh, with the, uh, AFC South Houston Texans. I mean, that, that, that, that, that, that, the most trustworthy team because they have the best defense. I think to make a Ryan is the best coach in that division with the best coaches in the league. And like, see, they strouled. It's got a lot of things to figure out. I'm betting on him as he's getting closer. Or he's in that position now, we can start talking about a long-term extension to start elevating them. Uh, you know, they're offensive line. They've tried to upgrade even though Braden Smith has been banged up the right tackle. But I just feel like every year we, we see them really surging the second half. I imagine they're going to end up being an 11-12 win team again this year.
Okay. Okay. Uh, I too have the Houston Texans. Uh, I think the Jags look like they're pretty good. I think you could be on the Colts. If you like them, what, I agree with what, uh, Jeff said about, uh, having the most dependable coach. I do like the McEl Ryan's. I think he's top shelf. Um, I think they're going to get good play out of the quarterback. I don't think he's going to be great, but I think they're going to get good play out of the quarterback. But the defense is there. I expect the Jaguars to have a little bit of a sophomore slump under under Liam Cohen. So I expect a little bit of a regression on that one. Uh, so I, I think the Texans for me were pretty easy to, to put the Texans down. Sam, who do you got? Yeah, I know that this was the easiest picked for me in the ASC. I think they're going to be great. I think this was the easiest picked for me in the ASC. I've got the Texans because every AFC South team is really flawed, but the Texans defense doesn't have any flaws. And so you've got one really good unit among the eight in the ASC, you know, when you just count offense and defense, each team having two units. You've got one really good unit in the ASC South.
And it's the Texans defense and it is elite elite. So, um, I don't think the Jaguars problems the coach. I think it's the personnel. I mean, they do get Travis Hunter back, but their personnel moves this off season where bizarre. And so I think it's the personnel that's going to hurt. I actually think the Jaguars have the best head coach and the division. Okay. Liam. Okay. Okay. I think Shane Stuykins, I think Shane Stuykins a good coach too. I don't think you've got bad coaches in this division, but I don't think that the records will show that you have good coaching. I think that's, I think that's, uh, why don't you think if they have good coaching, why don't you, why don't you think the records? I don't, I don't, I don't think the, I mean, look, the Titans are still rebuilding. Um, uh, the Colts have issues of quarterback. The, uh, the Texans have issues at quarterback. And I just mentioned what I think of the Jaguars personnel. And by the way, I mean, we're only a year removed from,
from Seren Raid and Trevor Lawrence as the worst quarterback in football. So like, it's like the Texans have everything solved because they had a good year last year. Uh, uh, yeah, that's just, that's one that's going to live in infamy, I guess. Well, I don't, like, I don't, like, I don't think, I mean, is Trevor Lawrence like a top, none of us had him in like the top 10 to 12 quarterbacks? Yeah. I'm not, I'm not saying to hit, I'm not saying you missed on paid manning. That, that's actually kind of my point. It's like Trevor Lawrence had a lot of evidence for not being great. He did play really well down the stretch last year, but is that just who he is now? Uh, no, I don't think so. And, and that's why I think coupled with the fact that everybody was kind of, uh, mining their peas and cues and doing everything right. I think there's a, there's, that's the kind of team that has the natural regression that has like the, okay, we're good and everything comes down. And, you know, they, they come out and they're two and three or two and four before they recognize, no, we got to go back to being on top of all of our, all of our stuff. And so, yeah, I think they regression. And I think the Texans have already been through that.
They've already done that. And so they now know what it takes. And I think they're the kind of team that's like, listen, we're tired of being the team that gets in there, but goes nowhere. And so what we got to do is we got to get the one seat. I think they're going to be, that's going to be their mission is to go out and, and, and be the one seat. So I think you're going to get a really focused, you know, uh, Houston, Texan, see, that's, that's, that's what I think. So I, I like the Texans to win the division. I think it is, like I said, I think you could pick a couple of the other teams, but I think the Texans are, are going to be the one that this is their team on a mission in this, in this division this year. Um, all right. So then, uh, AFC West, where are you going, Jeff? You know, this is, this is one of my curve balls here. I went, I went chargers. And I've been high on Denver all off season and even talking on the radio this morning with Steven St. John. I was, you know, talking about how good they should be in the season, open against the cheese, but I feel like the chargers, if they get their offensive line healthy and they've already lost their starting center, um, I think they got a really good chance because Jim Arbott is not need a lot of stars
to win games and he's been able to win through a lot of different adverse situations, certainly losing Joe Alts and for shots later last year. And so if they can keep that offensive line healthy and Mike McDaniel can make a difference with the run game as the offensive coordinator, I really like Justin Herbert in the MVP race. And I think their defense will be good enough and I think they win the division. Okay. Sam. This can't be great. Jeff and I have a clean, identical. I've got the chargers as well. Um, the AFC is super interesting. AFC West is because it's the only division. I think you, you recently could pick any of one of three teams. Yeah, the, the odds, sorry to interrupt you there, but I'm looking at one of the boards. Plus 180 on the cheese, plus 190 on the Broncos, plus 200 on the chargers and plus 1700 on the Raiders. Nobody has the Raiders, but the other three are virtually the same returns. So they're saying it's, it's three teams. Anyone can win it. Yeah, and I think, uh, look, I think the main one has chiefs chargers Broncos is the average one.
And I think it's, it's all neck and neck in there. But to me, I look at the chargers and say, what was their flaw last year? Justin Herbert was the most pressure quarterback in the NFL. They're missing both tackles and it's not just that they're missing, you know, I mean, average players. Those guys are all pro level tackles. And so you add those two guys back into the mix and it addresses your, your most glaring need. Now, I do think Mentor's going to be a loss. And I mean, they brought in a guy who was in what a Western Michigan, that turns out Western Michigan did fine with that. Should have, should have done really well without him. But, uh, but I do think Mike, Mike McDaniel is a huge ad offensively. Harboh obviously runs a great program. So I, what I feel more confident about that actually picking the chargers is that I do think the chargers are the best competition for the Chiefs to win the division. I think if it's not the Chiefs, it's the chargers.
Well, I have the charges also. And I'm president of the Jim Harboh fan club. I think the fact that he went out of house and brought in a guy that he's not familiar with. It's either it could implode, you know, Mike McDaniel and Jim Harboh are two different kind of cats. And they may not be able to coexist. But so far we haven't heard of any problems. I love the fact that he went outside of his comfort zone and brought in somebody who's known as an offensive guy. But somebody's never worked with and they have this similarity and they both like running the football. But, but otherwise, I mean, I think it's great. In fact, I would have invited it for Andy Reed. I mean, I think, you know, I think that's a wonderful little litmus test that's going to go on in the NFL. Between the Chiefs, you know, needing an offensive coordinator and going and getting familiarity with their enemy. And then the charge needed to see and he went completely out of house. And I think that's I like going out of house. I like bringing more ideas together. Let's try to take the best out of what you did. Let's take the best out of what I did. Let's put it together and we'll be the better for it. So yeah, they do have a stretch of games where it's just a holacious run of like seven games wrapped around their by week where it's tough game, tough game, tough game, tough game, tough game.
And I think that could beat them up a little bit. But I think all I think you could very well have three teams with the same record. 10 and 7 11 and 6 in this division with them beating each other up. So I've got the chargers as well. All right. To the wild cards in the AFC. Where are you going here, Jeff? You want all of them just the first one? Let's let's let's go. Let's go all three. Okay. I got Broncos, Ravens and and Chiefs. Oh, that was the chiefs are in. Get off Jeff's ass. Exactly. Well, and here's the thing. At 98 as I recall at 98. Going with the same theory you have about, you know, some of these teams beating each other up. But the Broncos, I mean, the Broncos, I like them because of the defense. And I feel like Sean Payton has proven the last couple of years that he can lead a team to the playoffs and potentially get on the verge of reaching the Super Bowl. And the Ravens, I do expect the bounce back year. I'm a big fan of what mentor can bring to them defensively, bringing Anthony Weaver back at DC as well and Trey Anderson coming in.
But the chiefs to me, I have all the teams left in the mix for that last spot. They're the most trustworthy. I don't know what Jacksonville is going to do at the San is point with all their back lack of activity in the off season. And I think about the Colts. I don't think they're trustworthy. I don't think the the Steelers can get there. And so in the Patriots are the other ones. So I think the Patriots are still a thin team that much depth. And so to me, I'm going to put on one team in this situation. I'll bet on the one that has Patrick Mahol to Nandy read. Okay. Okay. Sam, your wild cards. I've got the Ravens is the five seed. The Chiefs is the six. And I've got the Patriots as the seven. So for me, it came down to the Patriots or the Broncos. And the start of the Broncos schedule is brutal. You know, Stren, I said in your show today that the the Chiefs Broncos game is clearly more meaningful for the Chiefs and the Broncos because the Broncos can afford to lose the road one.
And when you look at the rest of that Broncos opening month, though. As I was doing about half an hour ago, I started to rethink that a little bit. I still think that. But man, the Broncos, if they lose against the Chiefs, let me let me hit you with the Resus Cup. Then they played Jacksonville, the Rams at 49ers at the Chargers and against the Seahawks. Those are their first six games. So it's the Chiefs and then five teams who made the playoffs a year ago and three of them are on the road. Like that, that's a tough opening slate for them. And I, and by the way, the Chargers lost are the Broncos lost some dudes on defense with with Franklin Myers, Cooper suspended. You guys know I'm not the president of the Bowen X fan club. I think that what's funny is the top of the AFC may not be super strong, but there, there actually are eight teams that I feel like you want to pick on the playoffs in this, in this race. Yeah, I think there's, I thought the AFC was a little bit harder to try to figure out who's going to be on the outside looking at. I went to the same one Sam does. I got Baltimore, a new England Kansas City.
I got the Chiefs as the last team in out of the playoffs like Jeff does on on that front. And I just figure like there's going to be something screwy happen with Denver, right? I think there should be a little bit of a regression maybe from them, but I would be very happy to put Denver in this and take the England out, taking it city out, take Baltimore out. I have no problem with the Broncos being in there. I think there's going to be a really good AFC team that that's sitting and watching the playoffs. Because I think the top of the AFC is pretty well set. And it's one of those South teams you mentioned Jacksonville Colts all could be a factor in this as well. So, all right, NFC is next. I've got the Cowboys. I think the Cowboys might actually lead the NFL and scoring this year. Now the defense has some issues, but I like what the Cowboys did in the draft. With Caleb Downs, I thought he felt to him. So I really have questions about the Eagles, particularly on offense. Okay. Okay. Jeff. I want Eagles. And maybe I'm just being too optimistic of Seren's favorite coach Nick Seriani. But I think when he starts getting doubted and is not getting the whole lot done, he tends to rise up and figure things out. So I trust that Fangio's defense. I do agree. So Sam there may be some hiccups with the offense given what's going on the last couple of years and no AJ Brown. But I think ultimately I trust team with defense to keep winning.
And they win a lot of games in this division. So I got them. I wanted to I'm really kind of jealous of Sam going with the Dallas Cowboys. I don't move. Yeah. I gave it some thought. You'll hear Dallas a little bit later on when we get to my wild cards. But I want the Eagles. I stay chalk with Philadelphia and just just almost because I feel like. You know, I'm always picking against Seriani and calling him a ticking time bomb and he's always winning. And so that's it. And I'm either going to bring an end to this or I'm going to get on the right side of it. Either either I'm going to force it to happen the way I think it probably will when he eventually implodes. Or I'm going to get it right for once for picking the field of the Eagles. So I'm on the Eagles and I've seen North. Sam, where are you going? I will with the Lions and this is similar to my Bengals pick, but they are the team that has the easiest schedule in the NFL by quite a bit. And so this feels very reminiscent to me of the Patriots from a year ago. Man, the NFC North, I think is also, by the way, going to be the most fast and any division to cover this year.
If you're, if you're B report for one of those four teams, because I actually think you can make an argument that any of them could win the division, even the Vikings, I think you can make an argument could win the division. So super interesting division, but I've got the Lions first. Okay. I've got the Lions as well, Jeff. Where are you? Three for three. Yeah. You know, the back of it would say I'm said I do. This was a tough division to call because there is so much quality. But it also feels like the Lions are the most trustworthy because I think they have the fewest questions. So I, the Packers, like what's Mike apartions going to be? What's your craft going to be on those big injuries? The bear? Josh Jacobs. What story. Exactly. And then the Viking put the quarterback. So I just felt like it was more. Process of elimination with Detroit. Anything else? I know fantasy leagues are all big on Kyler Murray. I think that's the only thing that I think is going to be having a big bounce back under McConnell. And I don't think that's a bad theory to have. And I don't know that they're ready. That that means that the team's going to be a playoff team.
And I expect a little bit of regression from the Bears. Like I've talked about with Liam Cohen. So I slide them back. I think the Packers have too many question marks. So this one was the easiest one for me. And the NFC was to go with the Detroit Lions on that one. All right. NFC South. Sam, where are you going there? Yeah. This was a, I could have saved this for the bold and daring. But I'm going to go with the Saints this year. I'm a point out. I picked a surprise last year and I picked the Panthers. The Panthers made it. The Panthers won the division. I'm picking the Saints to be that surprise team this year that maybe is the only team with the winning record. I think everyone in this division is like in that seven to ten to nine to nine and eight range. But why the Saints is because they have the 30s. You schedule in the league. The Panthers had the third toughest. The Bucks had the seventh toughest. I think Atlanta is a team trending really in the wrong direction. The Saints invested a lot in the offensive line this off season. I do like what Caroline has done defensively over the last two seasons. But I just, I think, why not pick a sort of a wild card here? And I've got the Saints.
Okay. Okay. All right. Did you want to put the picks up? Yeah. Yeah. Just realized I could, I think I could pick a put the picks picks up here. Are you, are you typing them up as, as we go? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm on a different screen. Yeah. Yeah. There we go. Right there we go. My up. There it is. That's what we're looking at here so far. Okay. So let's go then. Let me hang on. Let me do this while we're at it. So that maybe we, we see Jeff. I was going to say, yeah. Green green is killing me right now. Yeah. Yeah. Bring Jeff into it. You know, like a plant or something. We give lots of love to Ganden into Italian delight. So we'll do that again here in a little bit. All right. I'm on the box. I've got Tampa because I just think they've got the best quarterback in the mix. I'm not ready to give it to the second year quarterback show or show. How's he saying? Chuk, whatever, whatever. Yeah.
I was I was the imposer here talking about. I will look at the kid now. Yeah, Pagerie's picture. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There you go. Jim Scowl, the defensive end. I got the box. I just think they're somebody said we've hit 2010 technology. Yeah. We have. We're cutting edge, man. We're cutting edge. We're who had that? Let's give him credit for who it was. There you go, Ben. Ben, yeah. Whoops. Jackie, Jackie's usually got a good singer in there at some point. Where'd he go? There it is. That's right. That's right. We're moving up in the world. We'll be there at one point. Where's the printer? It's printed out. It's printer-slash-backed machine. There it is. It's blown out. A nice white piece of paper. So there you go. There's the printer for you. All right. Let's see. We need Jeff's NFC South.
I have the bucks as well. And Sam's favorite coach, Todd Bowles. Once again, Prairie, what are you going to do with the 819? The Saints' Bates Bowl picks an NFC. I respect his decisions here. The Saints worry me because their rookie receiver is out for a couple of months with a hamstring. So that's going to be their offense. Jordan Tyson. But the bucks to me, and maybe this is reason to see it by, but I like the way Ruben Bayne looked when he played against chiefs. He could be a defensive rookie of the year candidate. And if he can be the real deal, what they have on offense, still got Bucky Irving and the Muka, Becca Muka. A Muka Becca. What's his name? What is it? What's what is it? Am I saying it right? The bucks are watching. Yeah, what's his name? I'm Becca Abuca, right? I'm going to say it like eight different ways. No, you still didn't get it. But I'm going to make sure I've got it open and looking at it before I get it. No, you got it. It's a Muka Abuca.
Yeah, Becca Abuca. I'm going to trust the Renegate, the right pronunciation. It's a Muka Abuca. It's a Muka Abuca, right? All right, yeah. It's a Muka. It's just not how I've said it. Yeah. But they have the most difference makers. I'll put it that way. And so I trust them more than any other team in that division because of that. All right. NFC West. Where are you going to see him? I've got the Rams here. I mean, this seems like, you know, it's kind of crazy to be the defending, cerebral champions and convincingly so and be such a significant honor dog in your own division. Yeah. Yeah. I've got the Rams as well, Jeff. I'm saying that low hanging fruit. I think Seattle could still do it. I think the path to Seattle doing it is if this Australia trip screws up these two teams for a couple of weeks and they dig a hole. Like, I don't know how that's going to react. And the Rams are doing the fly over the day before and fly back right afterwards. I mean, I don't know what that's going to do to them. So that's the only path I see that the Rams
not getting there and getting it done. But I've got the Rams. All right. Who your wild card, Sam? I've got the 49ers. I've got the Seahawks. And I actually really. It's one longer than what it seems, but I've got the Eagles 7th. Okay. That leaves out the bears. I think the bears are really well coached. I think their defense stinks. He's out the Packers. It leaves out the packers just feel like a mess to me. The Jacob situation. As much as, you know, a patch of homes is back in nine months. Does everyone remember that Michael Parsons and no two injuries are the same. Does everyone remember he tore it like hours after patch mobs did. He's on IR to open the season. And just to plug my own story if people want to go read a half patch mobs came back in nine months. I did write about this last week. And I actually think the team that could sneak in there, though, to me is the Vikings. I'm really interested in what the Vikings do this year.
Okay. Okay. Jeff. I went Seattle Green Bay and Chicago. And this was a lot of back and forth. I really wanted to pick the giants to make the playoffs. I think John Harboss is going to be a big difference for them. But I just couldn't find the way to stomach it with some of the other teams that are going to be in the mix there. The 49ers, I think are an interesting team, but so much off season stuff going on. It feels like the calm around them is bad. They've already lost, but keep it yourself for the season. And so, see, Hawks clearly, or should be one of the top five teams in the league again. Packers. That's my gamble in terms of just the injury we talked about with craft. And Michael Parsons and then Josh Shake was being on the Zeppelist and the Bears. I don't trust their defense, but I like Ben Johnson as a coach. I think he can get them back to the playoffs. All right. I go Seattle Dallas Green Bay. I do have the Packers making it Seattle's easy. I said, I almost had Dallas beating the Eagles for the division. And then I've got the Packers.
I know that there are those question marks and sandwich and compelling argument. They're about, you know, the different issues, but that's a proven program and what they're doing and where they're going. So I'll go, I'll trust that they keep it going and I'll go with the Packers. AFC and NFC champs. I've got bills and rams for the AFC and NFC champs. Who do you have, Jeff? Same to. Okay. Same to you had last year too, by the way. Was it? I've got the Rams and I don't want to go chalk. And you can see I already haven't gone chalk, but I'm going with the Bengals. Okay. Okay. Rematch. I think the Bengals could have. I think the Bengals could have a top 10 defense this year. They've added extra Lawrence. You know, they added book this this off season.
Kyle Dugger, boy, Maffay and a couple other free agents too. I think their defense could be pretty solid and nobody has questions about the talent they have on offense. Okay. This is all dependent on the thing I actually hate about this pick is I'm boxing myself into rooting for a quarterback to be healthy who's only healthy like half the time because that's what this all depends on. Yeah. Okay. Tell me what do you got? I got the Rams winning it all. Anybody go different than that? No. I've got the Rams as well. Yeah. All right. Everybody's on the Rams. Yeah. We're odds right now. You guys follow that stuff. I think of a favorite are they compared to yours? I think they're like five and a half to one. Is it plus? Is that sound right? Let me. Let me check what they are. Five to one. Five to one. Okay. At average or about five to one. They're like 475. Some places. That's the. Well, then I remember any of the chiefs numbers. I think there was one year where the chiefs were about that number.
Was there? Okay. Okay. How about MVP? I'm going Josh Allen for the MVP. He's going to get it done this year. I think they'll be going on offense. So I got Josh Allen for the MVP. Who do you got, Jeff? Joe Burrow. It's the same. For a crew back to stay healthy. You look at what he did two years ago. And he was healthy. And he was almost in the MVP rate for the team that didn't make the playoffs. And so I think a lot of firepower and a lot of opportunity. Okay. Going the same way. I'm going to say. And the other thing is it's not considered when people vote for MVP. The weapons that the people have. And so like Joe Burrow operates in a really good quarterback system. When you've got a jamar chase and and Higgins to throw the ball to. And nobody considers that one a sign of vote for the word. They just look at your numbers. And so I think Joe Burrow will have great numbers this year. Yeah. You know, basically, you know, pick beyond a good team too. Yeah. I'm by. I don't have any problem with Joe Burrow. I'm number one overall pick. Who do you got Jeff?
You know, when you're trying to decide if it's. To Kobe, percent or Gardner, Menshu as you're starting quarterback. I think that it's pretty easy to pick the Arizona Cardinals as. The worst team in the league. I don't think they were ever considering Gardner, Menshu. That's what I'm saying. He was in the conversation. Yeah. I'll stick up from my guide you Kobe, percent. I've always wanted to be the backup in Kansas City. So I think I think he's a solid quarterback. Okay. Say who you got for the first pick. Yeah. I think Jeff just named two quarterbacks who would be starting a Miami this year. So I've got the I've got the dolphins who Michael who actually considered for one of my bold and daring that they would go on 17 this year. I thought about that too. I thought about that too. I've got the dolphins for the number one overall pick as well. All right. Let's get to the award winners. Offensive player of the year, Jeff. Jim air gifts. And this help that I'm helped by the fact that I say a particular was on I are now. And so Dan Campbell's made it clear he wants to run this offense to Jim air gives and use him up.
And so to me with between him or be John Robinson. And I just think Jim air gives us on a better team. Okay. Okay. Sam. I've got I've got gives as well. All the reasons Jeff mentioned. I think gives us terrific. I've got you more chase and I get to him in the bold and daring predictions. A little bit later on. But I think I all the reason we talked about the Bengals offense. I think he's going to have a monster year. So I'm going to march a defensive player of the year, Jeff. Miles Garrett gets number three. I just think it's the airing down on coming back. And the opportunities that they're going to have to have big leads and get after the quarterback. And he's going to have a great defensive. It's this was a no brainer for me. Okay. Sam. Yeah, I actually think there's too much star power on the Rams defense for one guy to get all the credit for it. So I've got will Anderson. Oh, you said. Yeah, I've got will Anderson Jr. too.
And we'll hear his name a little bit later on as well for me. But yeah, I've got will Anderson Jr. As well. All right. Offensive rookie of the year. It will all go. I've got carnal tape. Getting it done. I think you get a number one wide receiver. And I watch him. Have you seen him in the preseason? Did he get to pass? I don't even really played much in the preseason. Did he? He was always standing over there in street clothes, which I'm assuming they liked what they saw from them. But I just want. I'm not going with the running back. Is running back so too likely to get hurt. So I wanted to wipe out. So I went. I went. I went carnal tape. Sam, where did you go? Well, go ahead and get Jeff. I'm looking up carnal tape to see how many snaps he did play in the preseason. Okay. Who do you got? I had to hear it by a love which he's the favorite. Yeah, which he's the only one they have. I wonder if the 30th Barron Harris is ever going to do anything. But I just figured they're going to be feeding him all day long because they're best player. I felt like I was very chalky on my playoffs.
So I wanted a little, a little something different down on my, uh, on my players. So I went to get a good, uh, Jeremiah love for, for, uh, Jeff, where are you going to see him? Yeah, I went, uh, I went with a carnal tape as well. Yeah. Uh, somebody correct me if I got Jeremiah wrong on that. But I think he, that's how he, uh, it's J E R E M A Y A. Yeah. M M I Y A. Yeah, the rest of it's right. Yeah, there's a lot of money in there. Yeah. There you go. Um, all right. Defensive rookie of the year. Where you going, Jeff? I've already said his name once. We've been vain. Okay. I feel like he got the past over. He's going to be pissed off and he's playing on a defense that's going to feature him. So a lot of double digits. Sacks for sure. If we've been vain this year. Okay. Uh, where are you going, Sam? Yeah, I actually consider it. Bane for the same reason. But, um, I think David, I think David Bailey is the guy. I think is the most talented defensive player in the draft. Uh, just in case. It's for him. You pick the other guy I've got.
There's someone else that I really liked as well here. I put Mansour to win. Did you? Okay. Yeah. I think he's going to get these going to be spotlighted because he's replaced in Tremac Duffy. I think he's got a great coach. Uh, knows how to use the secondary. I think you know, I like the way flies around the field. I, I took Mansour to win. Who were you? Who was the other guy you were thinking? I think Caleb Downs would get a boost from the fact that I don't think the rest of the defense is that great. So I think he could put up some numbers. I think they could be on the field of decent amount. And I just think Cowboys always speak. Yeah. Cowboys always get a little bit of a boost too. Okay. Coach of the year. Jeff, where are you going with Coach of the year? Jesse Mentor. Taken over Raven's team that, um, was struggling defensively. I thoroughly expect the March action to bounce back and then to be back in the playoffs. And we've always talked about this for this award. Usually it goes to the guy who's coaching the team that is, wasn't that good the year before. And so he's got a great chance to get it, get it done.
Um, I'm going to go next because I, I want to beat Sam to who I think he's going to have as well. Based upon what he did earlier, I've got Brian Shotnimer. Uh, uh, here. Well, well, Casey connection. Yeah. Well, Blue Valley love there. Yeah, Sam. Uh, I actually thought about, uh, Shotnimer for that reason. So maybe this is, uh, maybe this is, is hedging my bets a little bit. But, uh, I also want with, with Jesse Mentor. Okay. All right. That makes sense. Um, I think is, who's the favorite? Do you know? They even have John, John Harbaugh. John Harbaugh is a, is a runaway favorite. Okay. Actually, I actually think one guy considered, I think, I think Andy Reed's going to be in a race too for this because he's actually, he's actually coaching a team that wasn't great last year for the first time in a long time. Yeah. Uh, and there it is. Jackie, uh, Colin for Andy Reed. Um, all right. Uh, how about the, uh, come back player of the year? I think this is a slam dunk, uh, Jeff.
Well, it's, if you're talking about a dunk being air and not old. Yeah. That's what I know. No, you totally got that one wrong. Totally got that one wrong. Um, all right. Where'd you, where'd you go, Sam? My homes. Yeah, put me down from my homes too. I think there's one other, there's one other thing I think is interesting, which I think Kyler Murray could be a candidate for this too. I think Kyler Murray could be a candidate. I think, uh, Malik neighbors. Yeah. Neighbors could be a candidate. Yeah, there's some good candidates. It's a lot of candidates actually. I mean, I think you could even, you, you might even be, except he's won it twice already. I don't, I'm, that's the only one, but normal you would say, um, uh, uh, uh, Joe burrow. Would, would be a name to put in there, but he's already won this thing a couple of times. I don't think he's going to get it this time. Uh, by the way, Temecula says, Diana Rossini. Okay. Uh, that would be, that would be quite, be quite the, be quite the comeback. I like it. That's pretty good. All right. Uh, so that takes us to, uh, Sam's, uh, oh, you got Patrick.
That takes us to the, uh, surprise. And we mean this in a positive light. Uh, what is the, uh, surprise that you're looking for here, Jeff? I have, uh, Isaiah likely, the Ravens tie, I mean, the Giants tie that came over from the Ravens. I've always been a big fan of his when he was in Baltimore. Well, he was underutilized and he got hurt a lot. But if you can stay healthy in this offense with the weapons they have around him, with league neighbors and Scataboo. And I think that he can actually break out and become a, a pro bow caliper tied in this year. All right. Uh, Sam. I've got a Mori in Hampton. Um, I think he had like 550 Russian yards this year. I think he doubles that this year. So, um, and just an offense that I think will be on the field a lot more. I got RJ Harvey, uh, from the Broncos. Cause you're not hearing much hype out of him. Mary and Hampton was going, I don't, I don't have a problem with him being on this list. But like for fantasy leagues, Mary and Hampton was the first round pick. Is it really?
Okay. I think they're expecting a lot from a Mary and Hampton. I think a lot of people, you know, figured like they, they get him, you know, they're going to be run heavy there. And so, um, but I don't have a, like I said, I'm not, I'm not running down the pick. I think it's right. But RJ Harvey, I'm not hearing anything from, I think he's talented. I thought it was going to happen last year. But I think you can see an Alvin Camara like performance out of him for, for the Broncos under Sean Payton. So I'll, I'll double down. I thought he was going to be really good last year. Uh, I'll double down that he, he plays well for, seen some positive comments from Sean Payton. We didn't really make positive comments that often about guys. So I'll go ahead and, and go with that. Um, all right. Let's, uh, then we've got what disappointment? Where are you going for your disappointment? Um, Jeff. Travis Hunter. And I, I want to like him. I don't need to jaguar. I don't know what they want to do with him. I imagine he's going to be more of a corner throughout the rest of his career, but he's a good receiver, but they have to get up until they get off this notion he can be like this two way. Uh, you know, superstar player.
I'm just not buying into it. I think he's a good player, but he needs to play one position and stay there. And so he's always going to, and they talked about him. Like he was going to be the second coming of like whatever Walter Payton meets, uh, Ronnie Lott. And so I just don't see it. I love it. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Uh, it's not what I have. I have Aaron Donald down. I think Aaron Donald's going to be a flop. I don't think you just don't play football for two years and then don't go to camp. And then you just come out and shine. If anyone could do it, it's probably this guy. Right. But I just think there's a, there's a, I think we may be, you know, when Reggie White came back, he wasn't the same guy. Um, I, I think people are going to be disappointed, but they see out of Aaron Donald this year. Sam, where do you go? Yeah, I'm going to, I'm going to go a little bit off the board here. Um, Jalen Hertz. Um, I don't think that, I think Jalen Hertz has already regressing. And, uh, I already said what I, I think of the, the Eagles offense. I, I don't like their weapons.
Um, that he's got to throw it to. I don't think Devon to Smith is a number one. Um, and, you know, I'm a high lemons of rookies. I'm proven. And, uh, Jalen Hertz's legs aren't what they used to be. Either anymore. And so I think that the Eagles offense is going to be bottom half of the league. Okay. All right. We still got our bold, endearing predictions. Uh, we will get to that. I've got five in case we end up double dipping, I can dance around. So if you want me to go last, I can make sure that you guys get yours in or I'll be happy to lead off. Would who wants to go first on a bold endearing prediction? You can lead off. All right. My favorite one then let's see. Well, I referenced a couple of them. So there's a couple I should probably get to. I will say that Jamar Chase breaks 2000 yards receiving. New record, new record, Jamar Chase, Joe Burrow. What is the record? 1940 or something I think by Megatron? I think is it Megatron or is it Michael Thomas? He has the catch record. I'll get to that in a little bit. You know, Jeff, if you just settle down for a second, you know, I looked at one up. NFL record. What is it? Calvin Johnson, 1900 64 64 1964 Cooper Cup had 1947 and 17 games.
What Tyree Killgate after he closed in me. Tyree is not in the top five. Who Jounes 1871 Jerry Rice 1848 Antonio Brown 1834. Okay. I think I think Tyree Killgut over a you got over 1800 if I'm not mistaken. I think he was. So he's just just off that pace. Yeah, give me give me give me Jamar Chase to break 2000 yards. It'll help my dynasty fantasy team too. So I'm all for that happening. All right. Jeff, what do you got? This is an easy one because I go back to it every year. It hadn't happened yet. I was just going to say you said this is an easy one. It's bold and daring, but go ahead. It's bold. But it's it's bold and dare because it hadn't happened yet. It's Caleb Williams. Be government the first bears quarter back to surpass 4000 yards. Never had one. Never had one. Exactly. So that's why it's bold and daring. It's still hadn't happened. It's 2000 and 26 and it still hadn't happened yet. So it's going to happen this year.
Yeah. Okay. I believe it. Okay. Sam. I might be scrambling for for a new one here. Because Jeff just stole one of mine. So. I'm going to buy bold and daring. Well, I'm thinking put your set up for your bold and daring. Yeah. I'll start with the just, you know, the other two first. I have that the two participants in last year's Super Bowl will go. We'll combine for zero playoff ones. Which when I looked it up based on my quick math has only happened twice in the last 23 years. And last year was one of them. The Eagles didn't want to play off game. The cheese obviously didn't make the playoffs. But it's been a long, long time since this has happened back to back year. So I've said that. Neither Super Bowl participant. Patriots, Seahawks, neither one will want to play off game this year. Okay. Okay. All right. Number two for me. Since I referenced this one as well, I will say that will Anderson Jr. leads the league in sacks and he gets over 20 in doing it.
20 plus sacks for will Anderson Jr. I think he's had like 11 and 12 the first couple of years. He makes the jump to 20. Unwrapped to winning defensive player of the year. He gets 20 sacks this year for the Houston Texans. Jeff, what do you have for number two? Playing off Sam's love of the Dallas Cowboys. I have George Pickett leading the league in receptions and receiving yards. So I get a contract on top of that. So money money making year for him. I think he gets it done. Okay. I think he gets it done. George Pickens it is. All right. The next up we've got Sam. What do you got for your number two? I'll say that the Eagles finished in the bottom third of the league and NFL offense this year. I think that they're in look at me. I still have the Eagles of the seven seed. I think the Eagles defense is really good. But I think they're going to be playing in a lot of like 13, 10 type games this year. Wow. Okay. Okay.
All right. So I'm going to go with someone. I'll go with something else. I referenced as I talked about the receptions. Brock Bowers not only leads the NFL in receptions this year, but he breaks Michael Thomas is 149 single season catch record. From what I hear from Adam Hill, like he thinks every ball is going to Brock Bowers in that offense. And I can see Kirk cousins feeding the beast. And I think the guys awesome. So I got Brock Bowers breaking the all time single season reception mark. Jeff, what do you next? The Rams are going to go undefeated. Our team says, how about that for bold? I'll take it. It'll be the first one ever that's done after one week potentially. That's right. They're going to come back from us today and keep it rolling. Keep the bus rolling. That is that is without it out bold. Counts of teams is 2007 Patriots. They made a run at doing it. They came one game short. Rams get there. Okay.
Okay. I like it. Let's tell you they go 16 and one. This is wrong. Yeah. I'm going to give you credit if they go 16 record straight. 16 and one is wrong. There's no way they're coming back from us without having some problems. So that's what I think. I'm going to say Jameer Gibbs will break the NFL record for yards from Scrammage this year, which is a touch more than 25 hundred by the NFL record for yards from Scrammage this year. Which is a touch more than 25 hundred by Chris Johnson. First of all, they traded David Montgomery. The guy is in a time share for and the other reason is Isaiah Pacheco has been the backup there. And I think they're going to realize that they want to keep Jameer Gibbs on the field a lot. So he breaks the single season yards from Scrammage leads. No, breaks the NFL record for yards from Scrammage. So that's like 2509. I think is what it is. Wow. That'd be a heck of a number. Okay. They have any I had two others I was considering. I would throw out there, but they won't be the I seriously did have the the bears with the fourth first four thousand yard pass. But happy to have the Eagles to the list.
I have the other ones I was considered be John Robinson goes for a thousand thousand. A thousand rushing thousand receiving. It's kind of like the Jameer Gibbs side. And I have a Mary and Hampton leading the AFC in rushing yards. We're two, but I'm not going to use the other one. You're already in back's heavy. They just don't want to talk about it. Yeah. Yeah. Somebody's got a you know, you got a bold and daring. No, no, looking looking for the bold and daring that are out there. That's what it's all about, man. All right. There it is. The entire season. You don't even need to watch now. You're just giving you everything that's going to happen. That's the whole NFL season right there. Not you all the playoff teams who's one of the playoff games. All the exciting things that are going to happen during the season. I'm not about, you know, going for like a 70 yard field goal. Somebody kicking the 70 yard field goal.
