PQL LED Lights Recalled Due to Fire Risk

0:00On this March 3rd in Tampa Bay, here's what is making headlines. Nearly 200,000 high bay linear LED light fixtures from PQL are under recall due to a fire risk. The Consumer Product Safety Commission, announced it after spotting issues in certain models. These rectangular white metal lights come in two foot or four foot widths, and you can check model numbers on the back. They were sold at stores like LED Indy and Universal Lighting nationwide, plus online, from January 2016 through June 2025. Prices range from $50 to $350. The problem stems from plastic pins that hold the LED board in place. Over time, these pins can break down, letting the board shift and touch the lens or other parts, which might spark a fire. So far, there's just one report of a fixture catching fire, but no one got hurt. Distributors and sellers need to pull them off shells right away. If you own one, stop using it immediately to stay safe.
