00Has the news been getting you down? I'm Megan McCartle, and I'm here to help. I'm the host of a new show from Washington Post Opinion, called Reasonably Optimistic. And it's an antidote to the pessimism that's riddling America right now. Every Wednesday, I'm going to talk to people who see a path forward. It does seem to me that there is some awakening of a desire to act together to solve problems where they are. Now, I am a believer in America, and it's worth fighting for. Join me Wednesdays on YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts. MUSIC Now, that is Orlando Magic Basketball. What's going on, Orlando Magic Fans? Welcome to the Six Man Show Post Game Live, presented by Thrive in Magic Win. 19-92 on the road in Minneapolis.
03A comprehensive, almost wired to wire win. Take it from like a second quarter on. This was all Orlando Magic, impressive win against a very good Minnesota team on the road. How about that? Magic, don't look now. Magic 1-3 straight. 1-9 out of the last 13. Interesting stuff. Are things turning around? Maybe. I don't know, but we're going to talk about it here on this show. Welcome to the Six Man Show Post Game Live, my name is Kevin. Glad you're with us. This is our live post game show here on YouTube after each and every Orlando Magic Game. Also, Simon Cast over on X. Glad you're with us. This is show is all about you. Get involved in the chat. The best way to do that is super chats. We read every single one. And we'll read a few other messages in the chat. Throughout the, I almost said night, but this is afternoon. This is a little evening show tonight, which is something different, something fun. But yeah, magic with the 27 point win. That's pretty wild.
05That's pretty wild to go into Minnesota team that I believe was 17 games over 500. Yeah, 40 and 23. They'd won five in a row. You go to their house and just punk them. Doing it, doing it by the way. In the style of magic basketball, great defense, great hustle, great intensity. Rebounding was there. Super, super happy with this win. And I think you are too. But first, this show is brought to you by thriving. Thrive in Mark Abraham, specifically is a financial advisor with thriving. He's a die hard Orlando magic fan. He was actually at our watch party today. Shout out to all of you who came out to our watch party at stadium club. But yeah, Mark was there. He's a die hard magic fan and season ticket holder. And wants to help Orlando magic fans be wise with their finances. And so if you could use a little bit help in the area of finances in 2026, give him a call 4073664364 or you can shoot him an email or visit his website. Both of those are in the description below whether you're, you're thriving financially.
05Things are going great in trying to figure out how best to use the resources you have. Or maybe you're struggling. Maybe you're, you're find yourselves in a lot of debt or struggling to make ends meet. Mark is the guy that you want to have in your corner. Give him a call. The consultation is totally free. And you get a chance to talk a little Orlando magic basketball as well. Mark is an amazing guy, amazing family. Love the Abraham fam. And so yeah, give him a call. Shoot him an email. I know he'd love to talk with you. Big shout out to Mark and thriving for sponsoring the show. All right. So as we were starting the show, I'm sitting here thinking like thinking through the best performances of the season. I don't know if this is the best. I don't think Minnesota was very good today, which is kind of surprising. Obviously Anthony Edwards got off to a crazy start. It had everybody very concerned. But outside of him that Minnesota did not play very well today. And I'd like to think a lot of the credit goes to the magic for that. But I didn't think they played the best.
06So I don't know that I'll sit here and say this was the best performance of the season so far. The magic had some really, really good victories. I think, I mean, going to Detroit on Black Friday has turned out to be one of the best ones of the season because of how good Detroit has been. I think the, I think the wins second out of a back to back last week over Phoenix. I thought are not over Phoenix. That was after Phoenix. We lost to Phoenix at the buzzer. Mind you. Against the Clippers is what I meant to say. I thought that was a great win. We've had a lot of really good wins. But this is certainly up there. Top five at the very least top 10. I'm super, super impressed with this performance. It was just all business. This team just did not mess around. And I think what is so interesting is that this performance here actually was not too dissimilar. From both the Houston game and the Detroit game at home. Maybe Detroit's a little bit of a stretch. Certainly the Houston game where the magic got off to a great start.
08And Detroit too. The magic had a 10 point lead in that game as well. The difference between those games in this game is this game. The magic put their foot on the gas in the second half. They took it to Minnesota. And they were able to put the game away versus the Houston game and the Detroit game where they did not. And so what I took away from those two losses. You know, I mean, gosh, a week and a half ago now. Well, I took away from those losses. Obviously the second half collapses were horrible. But the magic showed in the first halves of those games that they could play with the best teams in the league. Today, Minnesota, one of the best teams in the league. Third best team in the West won five in a row. There's 17 games over 500. Through the first half, they did the same thing. They proved they could play with the best teams. The difference though was they proved it again in the second half. And so I give the magic a ton of credit for being able to do that again. I didn't love how Minnesota played today. I didn't think they looked very good, especially outside of Anthony Edwards.
10But that's not the magic's fault. In some ways, maybe it is. Again, the magic defense was really, really good. But shout out to magic. Water performance. Love to see it. All right, let's go to the super chats as we always do. We start with our dear friend, Janine Richman and patron who says, great win for our squad. Let's go play the song. Yes, great win. This puts the magic within a game of being 500 on the road, by the way. Very, very impressive stuff. But as Janine said, the three most beautiful words and all the sports after every magic win. Play this song. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Thanks to that super chat, Janine. Call of Fame with a super chat says had to work. What happened to Tony Orlando?
10Hashtag play this song? Yeah. Anthony Black left the game super early. I mean, it was within the first two minutes. I'm going to try to pull the play by play here. Anthony Black left. It looked like he was holding his back. They were speculating on the Amazon, the prime broadcast. It looked like maybe like back spasms or something like that. Let's see. Anthony Black came out at the 9.59 mark. So yeah, exactly two minutes into this game. Remember AB missed? Gosh, what game was that? The Washington game. The Dallas game. What was it? The Washington game, I guess. And so he's been dealing with some stuff lately. And so yeah, hopefully it's not anything serious or long term. But I'm glad you brought that up, Call of Fame. Thanks for that super chat. Tristan De Silva came in right away and was instant impact and was impact the entire game. He was super good.
11And in fact, did he end up with the highest? He did it up with the highest plus minus plus 24 for Tristan De Silva outstanding. I think that combined with how Anthony Black is kind of cool, not kind of. Anthony Black is definitely cooled off the last four, six weeks. I don't know. I do wonder if that combined with the Anthony Black injury problems the last week or so. I wonder if we'll see Tristan get the start. Certainly tomorrow, obviously second out of back to back. Obviously if Anthony really is hurt, then Tristan will start tomorrow. But I wonder going forward until Franz does come back. I wonder if we see Tristan's begin to get those starts more than Anthony Black. But thanks for that super chat, Call of Fame. Yeah, shout out Tristan, man. I thought Tristan was super, super good. I love to see it. Let's see here. Fun stuff. All right, let's do this. Let's go to the chat for a little bit. Let's see a couple of these messages from the chat.
11And then we will, we'll check out the box score. We'll check out the scores around the league. We'll check out the standings and things that we always do on the show. It is just a reminder. A couple of things. This is the first night of a back to back. Magic will be back in action tomorrow. 8 p.m. tip off in Milwaukee. That's an interesting one. Yannis is back. Magic have to travel though. That's not a super long flight. Obviously, Minnesota to to Milwaukee. That's the other. I don't know why the two inwards trip me up. Minnesota to Milwaukee. But yeah, that'll be a tough one tomorrow. But remember, back to back. Magic will be back in action tomorrow. Gabe says, was the game on prime? Yes. Naturally broadcast on prime, which by the way, that deserves a mention as well. The magic have officially shrugged. Off the national TV curse. They've got had some very good wins on national TV this season. And so and by the way, Magic are back on national TV on Wednesday, by the way, hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers. So we'll see if they can continue that trend.
13You think about it. This was a great win. The win in Germany was great. They've had one or two other good wins. Now they've had some bad national TV losses. Right. The game in London was really, really bad. Among others, but still we'll take it. We did just get a super chat. This one's from jail Lawson says one thing that continues to puzzle me is why most keeps having Paulo play point forward in the third after dominating the paint in the first half. It's tough. I mean, Paulo was really, really good today. The first six minutes or so, he had those four turnovers, which were abysmal. Like really, really bad. Just gifting the ball to the Timberwolves, which is part, a large part of what led the Timberwolves to their early. I believe they led by ten. Maybe even more. What was Minnesota's largest lead of this game? Eight. Excuse me. Eight. But after that, Paulo was great. Paulo was really, really good tonight. Ten of 18 from the field. One of five from three.
13Along with 15 boards. He only had one turnover the rest of the way. So we had those four turnovers in the first quarter. One turnover for the last three. I'll take that. I don't know about you, but I'll take that. We got a super chat from the only hero. Says, Bane didn't make a three and still dropped 30. FTP. Yeah. By the way, all the channel members in the chat. Drop that FTP emoji. Yeah, it doesn't Bane was outrageous in this game. Like you said, oh, a five from three. Could not buy one. Had a couple that were rattled in and out. But outside of that, he was a killer from inside the arc. Finishing out the rim. Mid-range. You name it. He had it. Minnesota had no answer for him. Again, 30 points. Wow. Going 0-5 from three is pretty crazy stuff from Desmond Bane. A guy known to be a lethal three point shooter can still drop 30. He's not just threes, man. He's not one side. And that's something magic fans have learned this season. If you're like me, you just watched Desmond Bane from a distance.
14And knew he was capable of scoring in other ways. But really, I mean, it's all about the three with Desmond Bane, right? But now he's in Orlando. We see, oh, man, Desmond Bane has the full offensive bag, as you would say. We do have. Kalanickle just became a member. Thank you, Kalan, for supporting the channel. Thanks for joining all of our amazing channel members. If you want to support what we do here at the Six Man Show. A couple of options. Patreon.com slash the Six Man Show is a great way to do it. That's where we kind of funnel all of our extra perks and things like that. For example, we do have a watch along coming up here on March 19th, the big game against Charlotte Hornets. We'll do a watch along with our Hall of Fame and Elite tier patrons, where we all watch the game online together. But another way to do it is right here on YouTube. If you don't want to deal with going to another website or dealing with another subscription or whatever like that, you can drop a membership here for just $5 a month and support us in that way. So shout out to all of our channel members and our patrons for supporting the show. I will start with a very, very special message from the chat.
15A long time friend of mine. A long time dear friend of me went to his first Orlando Magic game today. He was in Minnesota traveling and just to troll the chat. He said, go wolves. Shout out Travis. Hold the L Travis. Hold the L. Man, love you bro. All right, let's go to the rest of the chat, though. And see what we got here. LGF says the soul was balling. Yeah, Tristan was really, really good. I love what we saw from him on both ends. I thought it was really good. Edison says, here we go. Ref takeover season has begun. The ref said a tough one in this one. You know, what we always say, just NBA fans in general. And both fans are complaining about the refs. That means they did not have a great day. Yeah, it was, it was. I don't want to say it was inconsistently called, although I think it was in stretches. I just think I got a bunch of stuff wrong. We just got a bunch of stuff wrong today. But whatever. It wasn't going to make a difference in a 27 point game.
17We'll just put it that way. Man, let's see what else we got here. Devastate says, Windell has been good today. Yeah, Windell. I thought was quite solid. I love the defense that we saw. Hustled on a lot of plays. 10.6 boards for him with the steel on the block. Yeah. Shout out, Windell. And hey, Windell. Still inconsistent, obviously, but he has had some really, really big moments for this team, especially lately. Obviously, you think about Thursday nights game winner. You think about the will end up being the game winner in Los Angeles. Like on and on and on. He's had some really, really big moments this season. Hasn't been perfect. Obviously has really, really fallen down from the start of this season when he was shooting the ball so well. But if he can continue to put together performances like this, we don't need Windell dropping 25. Like that's not what Windell is there to do. We need him playing great defense, which he did today. We need him crashing the glass, which he did a pretty good job of today. And yeah, finish around the rim.
17Maybe knock down the three when you step out. And so I'll give him credit. I also want to give credit to the 185 of you magic maniacs, maniacs that are with us live on YouTube. And the many more that are with us live over on X. Appreciate y'all being here in this funky afternoon start time. There's a lot of things you could be doing at 6 p.m. Eastern time on a Saturday. Appreciate you being here with us. That means a lot. If you want, you could leave a like. It's free. Whether you're watching it live or watching it later, always appreciate that. All right. Let's see what else we got here. We'll hit a few more of these from the chat. Mid-size sedan says great defensive ever. Put the entire game on ants, Anthony Edwards. Then drive to the rim and score in the paint. How many games this season? Or how many games this good have we played this season? Yeah, this is one of the more impressive like. I don't want to say necessarily wire to wire performances because the beginning of the first quarter was not great with the turnovers, the bad audio. But I mean, this is, yeah, this is up there with one of the best. PTS, play this song.
17Let's go. We did just get a super, super chat from eCraft who says pretty much a 48 minute effort. Haven't seen that against a quality opponent since the Philly tournament blowout game ages ago. Tristan has been awesome too. Yeah, again, we've played some really good halves against really good teams. Again, going back to the Houston and the Detroit games. First half leads in both of those. But you're right, 48 minutes. That's what separates this game versus those games. The way the magic played in the second half was night and day different from what we saw in those other two games recently. So I just give them a lot of credit for staying true to who they are. And that ended up being the difference. Clint Stars has Jace on the injury report. Yeah, that was a new one. He got thrown on the injury report today. Obviously something to keep an eye on. And again, very quick turnaround, magic played tomorrow. And so we continue to be shorthanded. Obviously, we're going to be without France. We'll see with Anthony Black. I would guess we probably won't see him tomorrow.
19And it looks like Jace might be out as well. So something to keep an eye on for sure. Big thanks to our sponsor, Better Help for partnering with us for this important conversation about mental health. This Steve Smith here, former NFL Y receiver and host of the 89 show on YouTube. So having a counselor and working with Better Help, that gives you an opportunity to really start to unpack but people don't understand when you unpack things. You also open up a box that you're not always sure what's inside. And so I think that's why seeing a professional is extremely important. If you need someone to open up to, visit Better Help. That's better, H-E-L-P dot com slash 89 to get started. Has the news been getting you down? I'm Megan McCartle and I'm here to help. I'm the host of a news show from Washington Post Opinion called Reasonably Optimistic. And it's an antidote to the pessimism that's riddling America right now. Every Wednesday, I'm going to talk to people who see a path forward. It does seem to me that there is some awakening of a desire to act together
20to solve problems where they are. You know, I am a believer in America and it's worth fighting for. Join me Wednesdays on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts. Only Hero says I'm so proud. This is Magic Basketball that we haven't seen for a while. The defense was amazing. When we play our type of basketball, we can hang with any team in the league 100%. Absolutely agree. This was Magic Basketball, which is I think really fun to watch. I know not everybody enjoys the physical grinded out style of basketball that the match could play under Jamal Mosley. I love it. I love defense. I love it when teams are physical and when refs allow physical play, basketball should be a context war. I believe within reason, of course. I just I just love the energy and the effort and the hustle when this team plays Magic Basketball. And when they do, this often happens. All right, let's see what else we got from the chat here.
23Clint Star says this was a great win. I would say winning by this much is so much sweeter than blowing Dallas out. Yeah, I mean, going into Minnesota and being able to blow this team out and rest your, you know, key players for the last four minutes is pretty awesome. Pretty awesome. Blake says, are we actually good? Here's the problem with this team. Every time we're out, every time we magic fans say, oh, we are just falling apart. Seasons over. They just real us back in. Real us back in. This was a great job. Realness back in. This is again, one of the best wins of the season. They've won three in a row, nine out of 13. Had big leads in two of those losses. Actually, think about it this way. Think about this way. You're nine and 13 in your lap. Nine. You've won nine if you're last 13. That's what I'm trying to say. Of those four losses. Gigantic lead against Houston that you blew.
23Respectable lead against Detroit that you blew. And a Jalen Green. Double overtime buzzer beater. That's three of your four losses. There's no such thing as, you know, I don't want to like sugarcoat those losses, right? Obviously, those are bad losses for different reasons. But you were close. You were close. Obviously, the Phoenix team, you legitimately were close. And then the Detroit and, and what was the other one? Houston games. You were right there. You had those games. You just couldn't put them away. Very impressive. All right. Let's see what else we got here. A couple more of these. We'll check the box score. Kevin White says don't know what happened, but mostly was coaching over the broadcast. All game looks like we responded to. Yeah, I definitely love that. And they showed a little bit of that on the Amazon broadcast as well. Mosley and MoVogner had a moment and things like that. It was, it was pretty cool. Let's see here.
23Lots of play the songs. Love to see it. Love to see it. Blake says we held a great offensive team under a hundred. Yeah. And the back. Again, the defense today was terrific. Absolutely loved it. You hold the Minnesota Timberwolves to nine of forty from three. 22 and a half percent from three. They did a terrific job. You take away Anthony Edwards. Thirty four points. Let's do a little bit of quick math there. 62 minus four. Fifty eight points for the rest of the Timberwolves. Thirty four for Ant. Outside of that, only three players and double figures. Fifty eight points for the rest of the Timberwolves. That's pretty good. We'll take that. Kenny Rad says rough start, but coasted the rest of the way. Maybe the best of the season. Yeah. Very, very good. Very, very good. All right. Let's, let's take a break from the chat here. Let's go check out. Check out the box score. See what we're working with here. There's some, there's some good stuff in here for sure.
23We start with Desmond Bain. Thirty points for him. Ten of ten from the line. All of that. Desmond Bain. Doing a great job getting the line. Ola five from three, and he still ends up with a thirty piece. You love to see that. He was just terrific. Also added three boards, four assists, and a steel. Paolo. Man. Twenty five and fifteen for him. Ten of eighteen from the field. Four of four from the line. Did have those five turnovers. But again, four of them were in the first. Only one turnover in the last three quarters. Clap it up for Paolo. That's huge. Wendell ten point six boards, three assists, a steel and a block for him. Also only two fouls. Credit Wendell not getting foul trouble for this one. Anthony Black, we talked about it earlier. If you missed the game, came out just two minutes into this one. Looked like he was holding his back. That's something to keep an eye on. Jalen Suggs played four, sorry, scored fourteen in this game. Also had four boards, four assists, two steals. And a block and only one turnover.
24That's outstanding as well. Tristan Gray off the bench today. Eleven point seven rebounds for him. Four assists, two steals. Javan Carter. He's up with six in this game. And two boards, four assists. Had some tough moments in this one. I'm not going to lie. Three turnovers. Couple them. I was a little worried. Was going to lead to a comeback from Minnesota. Couple of times. Looks like they were going to get some momentum. But the magic, again, was to respond at every opportunity they were given. Jalen Howard played twenty five. And this one had nine points. Had a big three that pushed the lead to twenty, I believe. Also added three boards as well. Mo Wagner. Just seven points for him. But seven boards, three assists. And a couple of assists as well in the mind games department. He and Desmond Bayne are just psychos. And I love it. Oh my gosh. They were very, very fun to watch. A little bit of chippiness in this one, which is pretty fun.
25No appendent played 14 minutes. And this one did not score. But did have six boards and assists and a steal and a block. Jamal Cain. And Goga Batadze came in in the garbage time minutes played three, 48. Both were able to get on the score sheet as well. Four points for Goga. Three for Jamal Cain. And like we mentioned earlier, Jace Richardson. A pretty late scratch today. Magic shoot 46% from the field. Twenty six and a half percent from three. 80, basically 84% at the line. Love to see that. Oh yeah. So the Timberwolves and the magic combined for 18 of 74 from three. Holy smokes. That's insane. 18. What are those total percentages? 18 divided by 74. 24.3% combined from three in this game for both teams. Not great. That's not great. Jam, not great. Oh man. That's tough. But the magic hold them to 35% from the field as well. That's just outrageous. Crazy stuff. Some of the team stats.
25Magic lose the first quarter, but win the next three. They win the second by 13, the third by two, and the fourth by 15. You hold Minnesota to just 14 fourth quarter points. Wow. Minnesota knew they had to mount a pretty significant comeback in the fourth quarter. And they weren't even able to come close. 14 points in the fourth quarter for the magic. Well, or for the Timberwolves, excuse me, what a defensive job by Orlando. 60 points in the paint. That's against Rudy Gobeyer's team. 60 points. That's crazy. 60 points. Just seven fast break points, though, but the magic led by as many as 27. Got 40 bench points. Turn the ball over 14 times. And that led to 19 points off turner for Minnesota. Minnesota turned it over 12 times, leading to 14 points off turner for the magic. Just two lead changes in this one. Again, once the magic took control in the second quarter, they never looked back. And honestly, never really looked close to looking back.
25I think the closest Minnesota got in the second half was probably 12, 14 mate. I think it was 12 or 14. Might have been 16, but either way, certainly never got it in single digits. And again, the magic just looked comfortable. Every time Minnesota went on a run, the magic answered right away, which is what you love to see. Again, not something the magic have done super well lately against really, really good teams. So really, really happy with that. Let's go back to the chat for a little bit. We'll come back and check out the scores around the league and stuff in just a moment. Obviously, this is the only game that's been completed today. There's a couple of games are about to tip off, but the magic with the early tip today. Kalanick old new channel member says 1043 PM here in England. Yeah, love these early games for our friends across the pond in the UK. I know obviously on the prime broadcast, they showed a watch party in Munich, Germany. Obviously the home of Tristan, so that was kind of cool. Blake says first time six games above 500. You'll love to see that.
25Love to see that. Pretty crazy. And the magic can do something tomorrow. They haven't done all season as well. Four game win streak. Magic have not had a four game win streak all season. That's crazy. Crazy. Quinn star says Kevin, I like it when you are happy. You deserve to be happy. That is very kind of you. I appreciate that. I like being happy as well. And when this team wins, I am happy. When they win by a lot, I'm very happy. So thank you so much. Very kind of you. Let's see what a couple more of these. It's funny. The chat loves my friend Travis talking about the wolves. It's pretty funny. Let's see. Miguel says most should be playing over Wendell. His effort is contagious, better on offense and a better rebounder. Oh, that's quite a take. Wendell has, we talked about him a lot earlier in the show, but Wendell has not been perfect this season. Obviously, but when the one thing, the one thing that does not show up in the stat sheet,
26that Wendell is very good at. Wendell's defense is borderline elite. It really, really is. The way he can switch to all five positions is very, very important. Could the rebounder be better? Sure. Could the offense be better? Sure. But this managing needs some defense in that spot. And Mo is very physical, plays hard, all those things. He does not defend like Wendell Carter, Jr. I do agree, though, obviously. Mo's effort is contagious. Love Mo Bogger. Obviously, there's a lot of question marks. It's going to be at least this off season again with his future. And I hope Mo Bogger is here forever. I'd love to see him retire in Orlando uniform. But yeah, Wendell just brings some really, really important things to this team. I'd be interesting to see him start over him, but that would be quite surprising. All right. We did just get a super chat here from James Brown. Says if we play 70% like for the rest of the season, we are a problem for everybody.
27And that's with an unhealthy roster. I definitely, I think I agree, which is crazy because, oh, let's say I'd say three weeks ago, I was like totally out on the season, especially with the Franz Bogger injury. But the team has started to look better. And I can't help but have the, you know, like the devil and the angel on the shoulder, right? The devil, you know, is, maybe it's the other way around. Maybe the angel is saying, protect yourself. Don't, you don't want to get hurt. But the devil's over here saying, yes, when Franz is back, we're going to be back. Let's go. You know, I don't know. I still think it's very possible for this team to have a really, to potentially turn it around. We'll see. A lot has to be proven though. Dominic says greetings from Germany. Let's go. Thanks for tuning in. From Deutschland. Love it. Love it. Blake says the only teams in the East,
28I think could be this in a playoff series as the calves and Celtics. Again, we're going to rewind it like I just said. There's still a lot this team has to prove for me to be totally all in. And I don't think it's going to be possible until Franz is back. But I, I do think they're, if the magic can continue this momentum, they are going to be a, a team that those top teams in the East do not want to face in the first round. I'll put it that way. I'll put it that way. Chris says, can we look at the standings early today? You know what? Just for you, Chris, let's do it. Let's jump over to the standings. I'll do this course first as we always do. And then I'll go to the standings just for you. Oh, that says the game's not done. Let's refresh this page and see if the game's done. Great. Only game completes so far. The Orlando Magic. Go to Minnesota. It went by 27. Wow. Ned's Pistons just tipped off. Sixers hawks just tipped off. That's a big, big game right there. Sixers hawks keep an eye on that one. It is on NBA TV, but a big one for the Eastern Conference standings.
29And can the nets, the team that has lost 10 in a row, can they pull off a miracle in Detroit? We'll see. Probably not. Other games to come tonight. Clippers, Grizzlies, jazz, Bucks, and Warrior Thunder. Obviously the one that is of interest for the Magic. The Milwaukee Bucks hosting the Utah Jazz. So again, it will be a second out of a back-to-back for Milwaukee tomorrow as well. But yeah, Utah and Milwaukee tipping off at eight o'clock tonight. So we'll keep an eye on that one as well. Let's refresh the standings. Make sure this is up to date. And it is magic. Take back over the seven seed. And our level with the Philadelphia 70 Sixers. Now the Sixers own the tiebreaker over the Magic. Unfortunately, even though the Magic won by 41 in Philly, they lost the other two matchups. So, yeah, Magic Sixers tied with 34-28 records. But we'll see with the Sixers game that just tipped off against Atlanta. Obviously, if the Sixers lose that game,
31the Orlando Magic will jump up into this six seed by the time the night is over. So again, we'll see how that goes, but that's pretty interesting. And of course, the Magic are now just one game back of the five seed Toronto Raptors. Wouldn't it be wild? I don't even want to say this out loud. Just a good long term. Wouldn't it be wild if the Magic ended up with the calves in the first round of another four or five matchup just like two seasons ago? That'd be kind of crazy. A long way to go, but that'd be kind of crazy. So yeah, Magic back in the seven seed and could even be the six seed by the end of the night. Love to see it. Magic are also six and four in their last 10. They won three in a row. And they're 14 and 15 away from home. That's, that's not nothing. They're climbing back to 500 on the road, which is great. All right. Last couple thoughts here from the chat before we call it a day. Again, second first night of a back to back. Means it's the first night of a back to back for us as well.
32So tomorrow we'll be back with obviously the post game live tomorrow night. And then Monday morning, a brand new episode of the six main show podcast myself and Jonathan. We'll talk about this game. The bucks game. Pretty much all things are landed. Magic basketballs. We always do. DOC says like the vid magic fans. Yes, please. Please like the video. Appreciate it. Love that. And last couple thoughts here. Let's see. Nest Escobar says 48 minutes of effort. Gotta give credit to Tristan and Wendell. Wendell was really good at boxing out. Go bear. Yeah, that's one thing we saw a few times tonight. Wendell owns it with six rebounds. But how many times was he boxing out? Rudy go bear or Nas Reed or somebody. To let another magic player get a rebound, right? It's just it's very, very big. Josh Goodman says nice to have a good performance at a reasonable UK time for once. Chuffed to bits with everything tonight. Let's go, Josh. Glad you're able to enjoy. Enjoy this one. Enjoy the result. Always a fun time. Certainly better than the game that was actually in the UK.
32I was there. It was awful. I yeah, yeah. One magic fan says this was a much needed win. We are literally fighting with Miami Charlotte Philly and Atlanta possibly for six to eight seating. Yeah, seeds five to 10. Very congested. So it's going to be very tight down the stretch. We'll see how it ends up. DJ Philippe says or Philippe says let's go magic greetings from Brazil. Thanks for tuning in from Brazil. Love to see that. Duval says thank God for Desmond Bain. 100% three and a row. Yeah, absolutely. I think it's a great way to end it. Anything on a positive note because it's a positive day. Magic one three and a row. What a win in Minnesota against a very good Timberwolves team. Love to see that. Like we mentioned, back to back, magic back in action. Tomorrow night in Milwaukee against the bugs. That's an interesting one. Magic split the two against Milwaukee just a couple weeks ago in Orlando. We'll see how the magic do on the road. Enjoy your Sunday, everybody. We'll see you after the game tomorrow.
32And until then, let's go magic. Let's go magic! Let's go magic! Let's go magic! Let's go magic. As the news has been getting you down, I'm Megan McCartle, and I'm here to help. I'm the host of a news show from Washington Post's opinion, called Reasonably Optimistic. And it's an antidote to the pessimism that's riddling America right now. Every Wednesday, I'm going to talk to people who see a path forward.
34It does seem to me that there is some awakening of a desire to act together to solve problems where they are. I am a believer in America and it's worth fighting for. Join me Wednesdays on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts.
