Police Car Crashes into Sydney Home for Second Time

0:00Reporting from The Daily News Now, I'm Corey with the latest in Sydney. A family in Sydney is reeling after a police car smashed into their garage for the second time in two years. CCTV captured the vehicle speeding over a hump before barreling straight into the home, causing the garage to partially collapse and leaving the police wagon badly damaged with smoke pouring out. Luckily, no one was hurt. The crash happened right next to the hilltop road public school, which was closed for the day. The homeowner had been standing outside with his grandchildren just moments earlier, making it a very close call. The family had to spend the night somewhere else because of the extensive damage. Witnesses nearby described a dramatic scene. One man named Joe said he saw the car racing down the road with lights and sirens blaring, followed by a loud screech and a huge bang as it hit the corner too fast. This isn't the first incident at the property. Back in 2024, another police car plowed into the front fence during a chase, though the damage was less severe that time.
