Now your hosts, Barry Church, Anthony Dorset, Demontre Moore, and New East Crugs.

It is that time. Please lounge coming at you right here from the star. In Briscoe, Texas, we've got former NFL players, Demontre Moore in the house, Texas, A&M Aggie. We've got former Dallas Cowboys, Barry Church. Yep. Hall of Fame with the Toledo Rockets. Got a little darker. That boy looking a little darker. Tame on that little darker, little darker. Good on you. Where'd you go, sir? Uh, spring break big kicks. I'm New East Crugs. New East Crugs. Multi-ami, multi-ami. Yeah, nobody knows that. We went to Cabo for a little bit. Yeah, he's down there with the kids. A little bit. How's the TSA line? Well, we went, we got lucky. Because we went on the off. So we went Monday, and then came back Saturday was crazy. Oh. Saturday was crazy. The line to get back in, like customs and all that was nuts. But since we left on a Monday, it was, uh, it was smooth when we learned. But if you left on like that previous Sunday or Saturday, yeah, you was, you was in there for a while. Okay. And that's how you know you're a frequent traveler. The fact that you know what day's lever? What's going on? He says, hey, man, just spring break.

I got it. I know how we get out early, man. We having an error. And you, and you were gone too. When you knew it was out there. Yeah, I was in, uh, San Diego. Yeah. San Diego. Beautiful. Beautiful. How fun. That is a very golf honor. Unbelievable talent. I didn't get the Tory Pines. Yeah. Get out of there. Yeah. But it was, it was definitely a good time. All right, guys. So, uh, I don't know if you know, there's a ranking of the 70 best Dallas Cowboys podcast. Oh, no. Chris Beam. Have you seen this? Uh, what, what, what, we've been. I have not. Okay. All right. It came out. I was about to say, who's right? Yeah. Who's doing these right? Who's doing the right? Oh, I got, I got to go back and figure it out. But like I know, yeah, yeah. Who, who want the smoke? Mm-hmm. Number one. Okay. Talking Cowboys. That, uh, that you, you know, cow, okay, why? Kyle, you homies, Tommy Yars, Patrick Walker. Our Zaya stand back. And Josh Rodriguez rated number one. And they, they came out with this list. That's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's it. It wasn't, it wasn't the burner account. I mean, I don't know if I'm putting those with the KD.

Our man, they're, their Eagleton is going to, um, uh, have something to say with non-sponsors. Sorry. But, uh, talking Cowboys came number one. Okay. Um, hanging with the boys came in number five. Hanging with the boys. That's what that was about. I'm not dog-nating them. Yeah. Shannon Gross and Kirk. Yep. So hanging with the boys came in and filed Young Holly. Mm-hmm. And then, um, we are. Oh, yeah. He's a 13. 13 out of 70. What? 70, yeah. You know what? 13. I say we, at least top five. That's what I'm thinking. Top five, at least top two. Now, here's, here is sort of an issue that I do have. What's that? Mm-hmm. Because they put the hose on there. Okay. They got the hose, church, McCray, heck, my hair, sitting in my cell. Wow. But what we're seeing now, you got it now, you got it. That's why this list is in fact. That's a bad list. That's a bad list. You're going to put it wrong. Come on, man. That's what's up, bruh? That was a beer and a hat for you. Beer for a little bit over here.

Who would don't respect on my boy's name right here, man? What's up with that, dude? He been for a minute. Fist for a brother and a brother. Ross, the roster's in change. Uh, Mick Shots. Number 20. Mm-hmm. So, uh, yeah. Yeah, so I'm just saying, who's going to make, Mick Shots? It's not Mick Shots. It's Mick always. Every single one's over there. Bill Jones. Heck, moong. That's over there. So, yeah. So, that's where they're at there. They were like, where's the break? Media mash is 28. The break is not on here. Oh, oh, oh, look at that list. That's about it. First off, Chris, you dirty work. Chris, Chris, Chris. What? That's not dirty work. That's not dirty work. Wow. That was, that was some dirty Mack Church, uh, uh, it's right there. Now, on, uh, there's a lot of podcasts here. So, where's the boss, the fucking? Number three is, it just says Dallas Cowboys podcast. It doesn't have a name or anything. I don't know. And on the, on the whole, it just says, M Kent male. That's all it says. I don't know. So, right, right, right, right.

So, that's it. So, when you talk about the break, I'm not seeing the break. Okay. Wow. Shots five. Looking over here. I'm not seeing it. You're going to do your, you're going to do your old Fred brother like that. I didn't do that. That was Chris. And he threw the, he threw the out of you. But you shut these all down. Number 33, law, law nation sports podcast. That's it boy. That's it boy. That's it boy. That's it boy. Okay. Right. We better than him already. Man, we 13. Shout out to the heck in everybody else. We didn't. Shout out to everybody. They got us up there because, you know, the Montrain nothing. They got Sean and RJ 46 over at the FANG back nation. It's 47. Can't see masterpieces. And see masterpiece. Skip Baylor's show is, is 49. I mean, do they still have a skip? I'm about to skip. I don't know about that. I thought he was doing something else. Yeah, so it's just, it's just a bunch of people over here. You say, stuff I never heard. Like, no number 60 is the Bubba Dub show. Who is that? No, you don't remember Bubba Dub? That was the one that got into it with Trayvon.

That was over there that was Roaston. He was with the teeth and stuff. Okay. Oh, that was it. That's, oh. Trash. Number 66 is bitches love sports. 67 is birds at the road. Right. And say, anyway, hey man, what's up? What's up, what's up, Trayvon? 17, right? We're 13. How's 50? I don't like it. I want to be. So, and I just say 13 with a line up that's no longer here. But anyway, that's cool. That's, that's what we can feel like. So if y'all were 13 with that, with the expired, you know, roster. And with the new guys, you know, I feel like we, like the cowboys doing with these pigs that they get in this way. That's true. Everything. All right. The star draft guide is out. All right. Yes, sir. The magazine 2026 draft guide out. Go ahead. Chop it up there. Get it. What do you mean with your Aggies? What do you mean with your Aggies? I ain't on there, man. I ain't on there, man. I think we, we lose at home at the cops.

We're gonna play off like that. I don't know things. Man. What the best you guys do. I miss you guys. Yeah, it is. I think. So, so, that's that, that's what's going on right there. Um, Cowboys meet a lot of needs in free agency. Obviously, there's more to do. So it creates your dress a couple of needs. You go to the draft to say, okay, we didn't hit a couple of things there. Where do we go? To me, linebacker still screaming. It is. It's, that's one of the biggest needs you're gonna have to have in this defense. Cause yes, you, you got the power on the interior defensive line. I still think you need edge washer, but you got the power on the interior defensive line. You got to have that, that middle piece, that second level. Not necessarily the secondary, but the second level when you talk about linebackers. Cause that, to me, is what brings defenses alive. When you got linebackers that I like to call you racers to where, okay, you might hit the wrong gap as a defensive lineman or a defensive end. And the linebacker we have on the second level is able to erase that for a minimal game or even a tackle for loss. If you can have guys like that, that's to me what takes to the defense to the next level.

Of course, you got to start up front and you course your bread and butter has to be on the defensive line being able to get after the quarterback. Cause we know this is a quarterback driven league. So you got to be able to affect the quarterback. But if you have those guys on that second level with that linebacker, that can run side line to side line, take away the running game. But also have the ability to cover and get back into your zones. It makes life so much easier for the secondary and for the defensive line. So for me, you got to have that linebacker as one of the top priorities. Man, you got to have the linebacker as the top priority. But you know what? Forget it. I was trying to not sound biased because I am a former linebacker. But in the three-four scheme, that's where it starts. It ain't about having the start cornerback or having your interior now granite. You built, you solidify that trades, acquisitions now going through free agency. You got two playmakers that you don't brought back there at the safety position. And then in these last few days, you've been seeing them sign at least what I believe it's been two corners in the last free agency. So everything's been there.

You got the pieces. You got blank coming back. You got reveled that actually produced like before a little bit. He's going to get better. He's getting better. It's depleted right there. And for this to be the most important position in the three-four system, because you got to remember, these linebackers are one step away from being an edge rusher and having a stand up. Or they're one step away from being in the secondary and being having to cover somebody. So this is the most important timing. You're going to see a big, if these guys are smart, we're putting people there. You're going to see a big fluctuation of linebackers throughout this draft. Just like you see in a big fluctuation of DBs right here. Right now, Jerry is giving the carpenter his tools and letting them hunt. All right. So if you pick up the draft guide there, the number one rate at linebacker is Avril Reese. Arville Reese has to say from Ohio State, sunny styles of Ohio State is number two. CG Allen of Georgia three. Anthony Hill of Texas is number four. By the way, we saw Cowboys head coach Brian Schottheimer out of the Texas pro days. And apparently Mr. Hill's agent is.

No, no. Dave, look at that. Oh, man. Hey, man. It's about the business. So Jerry, Jerry may actually meet him. Did he? He may actually have to meet him at this point. I get to know his name. If you're shotty, do you think that he was over there? I didn't say that. I know you are. I'm here with your brother, man. I'm proud of it. I like your players, though. I love, I hate you. All right. Look, but if it's one thing we can we know about Brian Schottheimer and we saw last summer the way he handled everything. He knows how to go ahead and play it down the middle. You didn't see him make Michael Parsons look bad. You didn't see him try to make Jerry look bad. He just played it right down the middle the way he needed to be. And then when the move was made, he was clean. So I give, I give shotty credit there. Maybe he's learned that from his dad or, or maybe Carol or Steve Spurrier. Along the way, he figured out how to make sure he stayed in good graces with everyone. So Anthony Hill, junior number four, number five, Jacob Rodriguez of Texas.

I like him. I like his game. Hey, he beats me. I like his game. But I've been talking to you know, I'm always hit up. I've been playing in a coach and doing stuff. And apparently, his interview process, they said this man has like Luke Kekele is. Oh, as far as remembering schematics and talking to him like his IQ is like there. Charging but he's so athletic to be the outside linebacker that can cover past Russian stuff. So I'm like what I'm hearing men and I just want to see a transfer over to the city. to say I might be mistaken, but I want to say he was like a former safety came in there and then put some weight on and became, you know, a linebacker out there. But that's a playmaker right there. I mean, this is a guy that, like I said, on that second level can cover. He can run sideline and sideline so it can help you in the run game. And like you said, with the news you just told us about his football IQ, that's what you need. A linebacker that can he raised that is smart enough to understand how the offenses are going to attack him and that makes your defense so much better. But I like this game. I watched a little bit of tape on him.

And he got some, uh, some good qualities I like. So at Virginia, and just speaking of what you've talked about with Jacob Rodriguez at Virginia, he was there as a backup quarterback, running back wide receiver and tied in. But once it became apparent, he was not going to have a future on the opposite side of the ball. He immediately made an impact defensively and transferred to Texas Tech. That's what I thought. I was about to say, I thought he was a quarterback, but it was the six one to 31. So he fits into the linebacker role in any three, four defense. So this works very well for him. And some of the pros that we've got right here in the magazine, just go ahead and read to Rodriguez. His first player since 2005 was seven plus forced fumbles and four interceptions in a season. He's a ball guy. He's a tackling machine with 127 tackles and 128 tackles over the last two seasons. More athletic on tape than it suggests. Those are the pros. The cons say he will arm tackler or over sell looking for the big play, which made him susceptible to broken tackles.

Not great moving backwards and coverage against quicker receivers is much better against Titans. And his comp is Connor Schwessinger. I don't know. I ain't got back. I'm right there. I was going to play. Carson. Carson Schwessinger is a good football player. He's a good football player, but when you say, oh, the knock is going back. I don't want my middle linebacker's going backwards. I want you going down here. I want you to go sideline the sideline backwards. Guess what? That's why we have outside linebackers there. We got the fast guy athletic guys. This is why the three four system is so dangerous because with that extra linebacker, you essentially are getting an extra DB and an extra pass for sure on the field. And with him, you're going to have all the tools around him. So I'm not really worried about that. It's some guys that are just playmates. It is. It amazes me. I'm looking at these guys and the numbers. I see, you know, six, one, two, three, six, three, two, twenty six, I mean, when I came out, you was just a big safety, you know, like, you know, a lot of backers were more to two, fifty, two, that's why we look at these.

So look at Deontay with loss in the battle, I'm a six, three, two, twenty six, you talked about here. Oh, just about the same one. We haven't really seen those six, one linebackers at a long time. Everybody's been six, two, six, three. Well, one of the, well, here, the pros say loss and isn't an elite run stopper off the second level, his instincts pairing with athleticism will lead, he'll read and react very well. Says, lengthy frame with the ability to shed blockers and wrap up ball carries teammates and coaches. Alabama raved about his leadership, his cop, DeMari and Oversham. There it is. There it is. So you got, I mean, you do have one ultra athletic linebacker here in DeMari, those are six, those are six backers. Yeah. Okay. They're not going to be six backers taken in the first. No, no, no, no, no. Okay. So you get to get some in the first twice of these. So right here, if you're looking at linebacker, these are some gentlemen right here that could fit the mix. This is true. And you can get them later in rounds, which didn't we pick up a, or didn't the cowboys pick up a, was it a fourth, um, through the, through the trade and it was the third, third,

okay. Oh, yeah, it was third. Okay. I thought it was four. It was a third. Yeah, it was there for Osa. Oh, man. Which is, I mean, that's big. Yeah, and I heard Rodriguez, uh, he's supposed to be around like second, might be dropping a little bit. I mean, because of height, you know, six, one, two, thirty, one, and if you can, and a forty of, of, of four point, uh, five, seven, considering you got sunny styles who burned it up out there. Four, four, four, six, and then Reese from Ohio State, four, four, six as well. I was just nuts. And then he, he's six, five, two, forty, four, right in a four, four, six, and that's nice. You need it. Okay. There's some, there's some athletes out there. How do you see them? Rubens, uh, pro day. Oh, yeah. From Miami, big boy. Yeah. Short on. So we're, so we're going to wrap this thing up here. We've got, you know, linebackers, we all believe is a place they could be looking at early on here. The draft for the first of their two picks here. And there are some guys who could fit them all as we said in a three, four system linebackers matter very much. Think of Lawrence Taylor, three, four linebacker, Harry Carson, Gary Reasons of the Giant.

Those guys, three, four linebacker, Karl Banks, three, four linebackers. When Bill Parcells came in after the first year with Mike Zimmer, they switched three, four. You saw where the Marcus were. They gave him Spencer. Greg Ellis ended up going from standing from playing down, hey, standing up, um, hey, they motivated me. Those guys you looked up to right there. So Donovan as a Rocco, in my opinion, can now be a better football player standing up. Oh, definitely for sure. He's going to have, he's going to have more flexibility like when you go to this three, four scheme, which you standing up, you get the, the nuance of standing out there over number two and pretending like you might actually be pressing on what you might be and do a delay bullets and have that big guy on the island like that. I think this is where he's going to be most effective and you're going to be able to see him put a little more tulips in his, in his bag versus just lining up and putting your hand in. I mean, I saw, do y'all think he has enough bricks in the pocket though to let the edge and be. Let's take a break, let's take a break on that. And we'll dive into Donovan as a Rocco, where you think and how you can fit into a new

three, four scheme, plus we've got to update on one of the podcasts here. Uh-oh. There's an update. We're ranked number 13. We've got to update it on one of the podcasts that we asked about. They made the list hanging with the boys is number five. Oh, who are we taking this pocket? We are number 13. We got to get up in. We need to mash this up in here too. It's made by Teddy Massey. He hung up with mitmah Domactince. It's just second time. The show we got a scene but he got two and the top third, the show. I want you to be here here's the problem, okay. Now, you look at matey mash and then it says join Steve D semiconductor and cast of local National Cowboys beat reporters twice weekly. Steve Steve the host is still to me. na сил are the show. It's been my 1979 quarter. Ferdinand got motion of Orange on the show and one of their favorite. Personally, that's the thing how they are about that play the song ours and that is man we got poke holes in it right so just like cowboys in the draft process that's what we got okay uh back into the cowboys is they're making the change on defense

kind of it's a coordinator and they're going with three four three four three four four no we'll do nothing get the multiple so you spoke about Donovan Ezoraku he'll he's going into a second year coming off a surgery hmm I know that's coming off a surgery from Boston college uh was very good at getting to the quarterback in college rookie year couple tests here and there um ended up being one of their better bright spots he did towards the end of the season he definitely would show he started to get things here I just believe as a rock who is going to be a better player in a three four defense here your concern was was him on the edge and I look at him as a a number two going back to just one of your former teammates Anthony Spencer who yes and it was much bigger than as a rock who but he had the same kind of tendencies where you know he felt like every play was I got got the quarterback so you see every you know you'll see of times against the Ryan where he's swimming underneath tackles and

giving up the edge because you know that's what his specialty was getting after the quarterback creating you know getting penetration or penetration creating chaos back there when sometimes all that's needed is you know sit down low I see nothing sit down low you know get down and create the edge and that's what made you know D wear such a great player and that was my next when you talk about the Marcus where there was your there was your ace right there yes yeah he said the edge get out there to put he he did it all you know in this in this defense you want an ace you want to you want a you pat swilling you want a Lawrence Taylor you you want that type of guy mm-hmm and as a rocker to me seems he's more of a B yes Carl banks who was a great player in his own right yeah right right really good football player but you know and then later on we saw where where became the B in Denver and Vaughan Miller was there yeah yeah yeah so so you you get two of those together then you can get something going you got a problem going and it's far as Vaughn because you know I'm personally was he you know

size wise was he kind of as a rock or was he a little bit you know stouter what is as a rock as a rock it might be around like 240 something maybe yeah that's similar in size okay when Vaughn came in he's about 240 and then got up there but he doesn't have the bend and all that now what I will say that he has he is a good guy he's playmaker and I'm talking about easy we're making this reference but one thing that y'all are forgetting you don't really have to be the edge setter in a three four system and the three four system like it's for your guys like Kenny Clark those those the three had well two had a horseman because you got rid of Oson now but you put those guys cute and them and they set the edge and your outside linebackers are there if it gets out there and it's a wide right or something like that yeah they're going to be out there to be your force contained but they play off of the details so everything that's going to be predicated is really going to be on these ends so that's when you think when you think of

having a dominated end that we have in Kenny Clark and stuff you think about JJ what he was able to to go up there set the edge and then your guys were able Marcel Marcel I forgot his last name the outside linebacker there was there with JJ they were able to overlap so this is where you're going to see easy come in and be the athlete that he is when they require him to do it it's not every down which as the outside linebacker you're excited to do that but your detail could do that hey I can be the playmaker and this is where we're going to see him in my opinion have his most productive you okay so you don't need him to have so many bricks in this pocket is now what you do need though now granted if you don't have a 1 a 1 b like how y'all were saying with D-wear Von Miller Greg Ellis and D where those type of guys going with each other you'll have everybody shifting to the side we know where the playmaker here so guess what we're going to have a full slide so now your three four kind of gets negated and your guy this the end guess what he's getting eight up and then the other guy you're forcing him to play the end where when the three four

skiing fans of yours I know I get a little loaded but the way that you talk about it is you want to have your detaquos set the edge so your outside guys have the free range to go inside or outside and when you do that that makes them more dangerous and more of a threat and that's where easy is going to have this most production I like that okay so the beauty of this is you've got a piece okay when you're starting to build here's a piece right here we believe in this piece young player and a player who wants to get better he's got the right attitude so those are the positive things you have about Donovan as a rock who and look in a perfect world Parsons would be on one side and as a rock who would be on the other but that's not how it didn't be healthy on that to that that is another thing that a hip injury that is really big to come off of to to to have that flexibility and have that dip now the granted the things that we hear through the grapevine he's a hard worker he did have a productive year and he has that tenacity about him but will he have a revels kind of effect where it's like hey you're going to come back you're going to be a playmaker

but you got to get your feet where are there going to be one of those things like you have the vomula approach coming off the major injury at the ground and so you and which you got to get depth which goes back into why you got to look at linebacker here pretty early you got to look here pretty early to maybe give him some of that time but you know pretty wild if you think about how they kept Michael Parsons like Mike ended up tearing up CCL yeah really be right you'd have two linebackers right now coming back from injury here that you did you got concerns about so the Cowboys are or once again I think at 12 you're going to have to go ahead and look at a lineback who you got to say I said she brought it up let me ask you who would you go with because just being around here you know how they think you know how the front office is me and Barry then seen multiple like guys we're on the news side of this who would you think would be the pick I would imagine just what we've seen in the past that the leading to the coordinators saying okay who fits what it is we want now Wilma Clay will will give you a dog we get him he'll come in here these are the great options here's what we think and they do listen to to the coordinate now the

problems and time listen to the coordinator some people get a little bit to they've got favorability such as hey we think Taco no man scheme over TJ why so but they listen to the coordinate shout out to UFL Taco out there about to go play for dollars renegade to give him a chip stop you know it's not taking one Thornhill a safety and taking Tristan Hill to fit to tackle listening to your coordinator so I think this has to be a you know they're going to try to make a joint decision here and have some trust in Kristen parts but Wilma Clay knows football he does he does you you look at their draft record and who they've been able to draft and the guys have gone the pro bowl they do an excellent job all pros yeah they do an excellent job here so and I would say this and Wilma Clay I trust I definitely do I would say it's a reason why what he what you told me a long time ago that Jerry doesn't let his best toys or his favorite assets

leave yeah that's been one asset that a lot of people have been trying to get to say get out of this building every time that he's about to go what he do he said here you go take a little bit most day right here I need you right here the trust that he has in him but not only that we see them taking a different approach in the free agency with letting like the guys that they're starting to bring in and starting to let them have that voice so to allow CP to come in here who is a guru like he did with his secondary and my eyes thinking know how I am being a former player and knowing these guys I think he's going to say hey BT Jordan you're a great talent of our evaluator what do you got and then wills going to bring in that list like how you said and then go off of that listening you mix them together then it's going to be some greatness now go back into what Brian shot and how I was talking about the kind of culture and the kind of players that he wants I mean one of the things they want to do is go back into high character people look at last year's first round pick Tyler Booker a Tyler from Alabama who is a guy that played as a young player all American type of guy in the room the way that's about his business pro ready but also just hey here's a guy

that you know I'm a Bill O'Brien coming out and saying hey man this guy was a star with us plays his first year when I was there you ain't going to have any probably he's going to become a leader free that's what they're going to be looking for so that's one other thing I would say hey start to dive into some of these like these linebackers start to dive into the next level thing of what shot he wants yeah so maybe they maybe there's a player who is not as fast or maybe not as tall but they've got all the right traits of what they want and what shot he's looking for I go back to when Bill Parcells was here one of the things that Bill Parcell said Chris being you remember this Parcells it said look I'm done dealing with with with with dogs and done dealing with people who who don't want to wear I've done deal with problems yeah he wanted guys who were captains that's where you saw Kevin Burnett coming in here for Tennessee he was looking for guys like that and that was what he was drafting yeah you look how great of a player and a person Marcus Spears was Marcus where those were the kind of guys that Bill was looking for and he would sacrifice maybe

a town he wasn't taking Randy Gregg they wasn't dealing with that kind of stuff that's not what he wanted and so to me just listening to shot and hiring what the way the way they've been going about that's what they want to return to that's some of what I've been hearing around the building they want that kind of guy Tyler Booker classic example that kind of player Connor Beebe your center coming out of Kansas State this guy's a straight up worker that's it was I done so you get enough quality people like that then along the way along the way when you get enough quality people you can take a shot at somebody who might be a little bit off yeah because you got the pieces around because right there because you've got the enforcers in the room who can get it done it's it's Bill Bella check having a Teddy bruski and a riding Harrison who consider out here and check somebody that that Cory Dylan can come into their room and they can all say this is how we need you that Cory Dylan had issues and since that had none in New England ended up when a Super Bowl being a very key player for the culture Randy Moss okay all that was said about Randy and his

dealings with the Vikings and with the Raiders he had no issues in New England because of that room but I say that to you've got to get enough people who are in the room not the coaches and the players in the room who can dictate you guys know this you guys were in the room that's who's going to go ahead and truly shape the culture and get anybody who's out of line aligned the way it needs but that starts with the coaches and I think they did a great job with bringing young coaches in you and then people that is relatable BT Jordan is relatable with these past Russian community you when I was playing it was Chuck Smith now you see guys like BT Jordan Nate O'Neal these guys that really control the room and when they do that it starts with the players and then you I think about Pete Carroll my time with him he built up that culture to where you had Cliff Avaroo's Richard Sherman those guys that control the locker room and I think you have that now but side note I do want to ask you this because when you say we got to get a break in here I got it when we come back

is going crazy but you know you think of Sam Williams him getting this extension this year do y'all believe in Sam and coming to a three four system and switching it up or do y'all think it says a lot about his character or how depleted this linebacker core is because CP has already let it be known that he's getting people out there if you don't fit or you're not even in the mix you're out of here so do y'all think this was a depth thing or it's like hey you know how there's some guys that when they get a new coach they revive their whole career like y'all that was good for them do you think that will be Sam Williams no I don't um and that's with all to effect I just from what I've seen the track record from what I've seen and I know players can change people can change all that stuff and he has all the tangible the tools that everything to go out there you like man you look at him six four you look all masses impressive looking guy but when you get on a football field it just doesn't it just doesn't translate whether it's you know mistakes

made from like just mental error mistakes like after the stuff that you can control this is not like or accidentally grab the guy's face mask this is after the play shoving guys or letting his emotions get the better of him and I don't understand that you know as a rookie coming in and maybe even your second year but you know as you could progress you got to get past all that you got to become a playmaker especially it's being it that the picky was that second round I believe but it's time you got to be a playmaker you got to be out there doing your thing and to me I haven't seen it I haven't seen it so that's my that's my regard on it here's here's one of the issues and I'm gonna take what you just said here we're looking at Sam Williams as a second round pick and there's a disappointment because he never became a starter when you're taking guys around to you're expecting by year three or so to be impactful players and guys that you can depend on he has not been that but a one-year deal for three million dollars to add depth you're going to a three four defense and one thing about linebackers you need a lot of you need a lot of you need a lot of guys and so

this is where I like Sam is going to help you and by the way all right there's certain dues after a while you don't want to play in special teams some of your starting play you don't want them necessarily playing special teams lineback until Sam Williams as a depth piece for three million dollars on a one-year deal then I have no issue with that okay you're playing you've got four linebackers you need a bunch of these do you mind you he has been true to give doubles advocate as always he has made some plays on special teams he has a gunner and he has a gunner to show that type of athleticism and stuff like that that shows that a guy's hardworking that shows that he is willing so for me I I don't believe he's a starter right now from what I've seen but he has a tangible but he and that is okay with me but also I know how it is being a journey man to sit there and have that neither like man I'm a sick around pick I put that pressure on myself to go out there and make the plays and maybe you're putting too much pressure you're doing too much to get outside the scheme and sometimes it takes a new scenery a coach to come in there and say hey it's a reason why we brought you back now you got to prove it but relax you know but this is the

scene this is the system and this is the schematics all we want you to do is pass rush and give a little fake and make your plays on special team what to develop what's the downside one-year deal three million dollars crazy new defense depth piece there's no there's no doubt and maybe I'm looking at it because you know I'm biased where I say you know being undrafted I look at these guys that are first second-round pigs and you get chance after chance so me I'm like the deal the dissimilar is there but but okay you got to just take that out of it I look 17 games this news if you were organizing I grind just ask this news when you say disappointment because now you're being harsh disappointment and also disappointment are but see also you you saw like you saw the flashes from yeah but look at look how much he was ridiculed and people was like oh I'm so disappointed I never had an issue with those things leader I didn't I didn't but the fan bases killing him saying oh you're

not the playmaker that we want to see and this and that so it's like if you didn't have a problem with him why do you have such a problem with Sam that has rounder but he's made plays on special team also was and he's got any guy second and third round pick is not that far in between we all know the first C.J. Good first plays on special by the by the time Osa was up for free agency he was the best defensive lineman you had yeah and was much better than I mean oh by the way have Mazzie Smith around was good too because it's like a man I'm the first rapper let's do this strategy so so to me oh I mean I mean oh I'm so sorry I said oh so I'm in Mazzie I'm in Mazzie okay oh sorry oh sorry oh so dude I there was no disrespect there but I'm in Mazzie was it Mazzie disappointment Sam is he there he's I don't think he's as bad as as Mazzie was but the way rounder and was Mazzie was not even accurate I don't even I don't think Sam at least gave you some special he did something but the way he had a t-shirt on exactly but the way but the way that he missed the BC is over there talking about Sam you're talking about him like oh I don't believe in her no like I'm happy that you brought Sam back like

a guy that showed me flashes and hey by the way he hasn't played in the system like this oh by the way he hasn't been coached up by the number one quote uh well he's top three for sure uh paste rush coach in the offseason and developing players and this is a guy that has all the tangible that need to be developed so as a fan for one year three main dog rolls and he does more than just rest like he's like he's a special team he can depiece all that I'll give you a name Brock Hoffman yes yeah Brock Hoffman was the guy that kept bringing back on and he's going now but but they kept bringing back on on you know one year deals and he would end up helping you yeah he was always he was a backup but he ended up helping you when he did can Sam Williams give you depth piece you don't like that no and I like Brock before before the injury and a and a defense that needs multiple linebackers over 17 and not like Brock Brock had to start games and you didn't see a craze there was a time when it was like I don't know BB Hoffman like there was not a crazy drop off okay with Sam Williams like the talent there it's up here okay like he I think

he's a penalty waiting happen I'm telling you know I don't know I'm putting my you know how you winner and and you might kill me for this but I'ma jump off the legs right now oh this is going he's gonna make it remember how I told you some guys you're gonna see them transform in those system if he can develop in this schematically and do everything they need to I think this is going to be the year that he's going to have that jump I think BC uh between having Jordan uh BT Jordan in there between having Rashon Gary in there that is a proven bet that is smart like I think he's going to make that athletic jumping you're going to see him getting big money next off I could be completely in the book I could like is that I could next year Sam Sam Williams will revive his career I can be clicky people love him and I don't see it because who who who who's that leader huh you don't be like leader you don't you don't expect much from Rashon Gary can uh uh sure that's not Gary's going to be your leader you're going to have Kenny Clark who's already came in and established himself and oh by the way he's going to say hey RG oh by way when he was in green

Bay he did this over here listening to him he knows the way Quentin Williams and and a one year three million scratch off tick you have nothing to lose let's say but so much the game give him grace and I want to say I wanted to see where you're going to be that harsh on him and that's what I'm saying you're talking about him like he's mazi bruh yeah he's mazi yeah I get for so far he ain't mazi let's thank you let's let's end it let's you ain't mazi bruh that ain't I ain't putting you in that can't I'm so sorry also for that miss out yeah much more very church I'm new excruix thanks to Josh thanks Chris being everybody made happy this plays last right number 13 13 what's the break it was this has been a production of Dallas Cowboys.com and the Dallas Cowboys football club you
