PJ Haggerty Joins Aggies, Bringing Scoring Firepower

0:00On May 1, Texas A&M men's basketball just snagged PJ Haggerty the fourth best score in the nation last season. The head coach Bucky McMillan announced the graduate transfer joining the roster for 2026-27. This 6 foot 4 guard from Crosby, Texas averaged 23.4 points per game at Kansas State. There, he started all 31 games, pulling down 5.3 rebounds and handing out 3.8 assists. Bucky lit it up with 5.30 point outings, including a career high 37 against Mississippi State. Before Kansas State, he dominated at Memphis in 2024-25, earned AAC. Player of the year, multiple All-American nods, and helped the Tigers sweep the conference titles en route to the NCAA tournament. He put up 21.7 points, 5.8 boards, and nearly two steals a game. As a wretcher freshman at Tulsa, Haggerty started every game with 21.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

1:02That got him AAC freshman of the year, and third team all conference honors. Haggerty's proven he can score anywhere, and now he's back home in Texas, boosting the Aggies attack, expect fireworks next season.
