Peter Gago Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

0:00In Adelaide today, March 15th, Peter Gaggo, the longtime chief wine maker at Penfolds, has won the 2026 Mininger Lifetime Achievement Award. This top honor from the German wine publisher recognizes his huge role in boosting Australian wine worldwide. He picked up the award in Dusseldorf, Germany, on March 14th, right before the big pro wine trade show. Gaggo joined Penfolds back in 1989 and took over his chief wine maker in 2002. He's just the fourth person to hold that job in the wineries 182-year history. His work has turned Penfolds into a global powerhouse while keeping its classic style alive. Over the years, Gaggo has racked up plenty of other big awards.
