Neil Moon 49 in Jonathan Collins, 34, froze to death in a Thai passageway while hunting rodents at Bannon poultry. The odorless gas built up fast, leaving no warning as they worked. The leak came from a duct meant to vent nitrogen from the chicken-chilling system up to the roof chimney. It got poorly installed and detached, dumping the gas right where the men were. They showed up at 8.30am, last seen alive on CCTV at 11.40am, and weren't found until 1am after their families raised the alarm. Families are still heartbroken six years later. Moon's pregnant wife had to push on for their son, calling the company's careless for the delay in owning up. Collins' fiance mourned losing their family man and future dreams with kids aged 1, 4, and 6. Both men left behind loving tributes as kind dads just doing their jobs.

The prosecutors slammed their Cavalier attitude, with lacks records and ignored fixes despite three prior tweaks to the system. The factory, once employing 900 people, went into liquidation that same year.
