0:00On April 10, a Metropolitan Police Officer named PC Charlie Caino just got dismissed without notice after a misconduct panel nailed him for, inappropriate and discriminatory conversations. This all stemmed from footage captured at Charing Cross Station, featured in a BBC panorama documentary. That show aired back in October, shining a light on issues there. Later, the BBC handed over unair clips to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which is still digging into the actions of several officers. From the same unit, Commander Simon Messinger, from the Met's professionalism team, explained they jumped on the extra footage fast, suspending Kanoa immediately and making. Him faced the music for his unacceptable behavior. In total, eight serving officers from Charing Cross have now been kicked out for similar misconduct. The panel ruled Caino violated key standards, including discreditable conduct, authority, respect, courtesy, and equality, plus diversity.

1:00The Met keeps backing the IOPC probe while pushing hard to boost standards and reshape their culture for the better.
