PC Cano Suspended for Misconduct at Charing Cross

0:00On April 10th, a Metropolitan Police Officer named PC Kano got busted from undercover BBC footage showing his bad behavior in a central London custody. Sweet back in October 2025. He was with the Central West Command Unit, suspended right away, and a misconduct hearing nailed him for breaking rules on respect, authority, courtesy, and equality. The footage came from a secret journalist planted at Charing Cross Station, exposing issues there that the Met couldn't ignore. Kano's actions were so out of line, they led straight to this formal slap on the wrist. Senior brass, like Commander Simon Messinger, called it straight unacceptable. Part of a pattern where eight officers have already been fired from. That same station for similar messes, it's hitting hard on trust in the force. Now there's an ongoing pro by the independent office for police conduct, looking into more officers at Charing Cross. The Met says they're grinding non-stop to fix the culture, and boo standards across London.
