00The text line, you text JTR, whatever you want to say, the number 96893, and I have to tell you, there's so much going on, as far as under the umbrella of Peyton's wedding, that we just have to, it's going to be an ADD wedding thing, because I know there's stuff going on with Vegas this weekend, there's stuff going on with your wedding bands, you lost the diamond again? Yeah, I did. I lost another stone in my ring. And I looked over during the middle of the show some time last week, and I looked at Kyle's like, oh my god. No! So I was actually kind of stressed out about it, but John Jay, you introduced me to your friend Derek over at Christopher Vine Diamonds, and I texted him and I was like, hey, so two things. One, I lost a diamond in my ring, and two, Kadeem and I might be getting married in Vegas this weekend, so I need wedding bands ASAP, and he came through. Oh, that's cool. So you didn't find the diamond,

00you just now looked at the woman. I didn't find the diamond, I just went in, he got my ring fixed, so the diamond is back in there, and then I was able to get Kadeem's band order, my band order, they do tons of custom stuff, so it was literally the most perfect thing, and they're going to be ready for us to pick up today. Yay! Such a quick turnaround, because last time I told you guys when I lost my diamond, it took like three months to get my ring back. So the fact that it was that quick of a turnaround with how hectic my life is, it's like, I needed that. I needed to check one thing off my list, so I'm really glad I got that done. Now the bands that you're getting are the bands for your real wedding, or the bands for what's going to happen this weekend in Vegas, because I think we need to break down the Vegas thing too. Yeah, I think we do. So earlier this week, I told you guys that I had gotten an email from the drama, The Wedding Chapel, it's the new movie that's coming out, starting Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, A24, the production company, is doing this pop-up wedding chapel in Vegas, Kadeem and I were one of the couples to get picked to do it. We were up in the air, if we're going to do it, we have decided we are 100% getting married to on Saturday. Yay! Yay!

00That's crazy. We're so excited. We're going to go, and I kind of presented it in a couple of ways, and said, hey, we can go about it, and not really have this be like our actual marriage celebration, even though we are legally going to be married, and we can do a reception when we get back or whatever. And I said, oh, we can make it a whole thing and have our family come, have our friends come, and really do it. And so at first, we decided we're just going to do our friends. We're going to call it, do it, whatever, make it a quick two-day trip. Our moms were not happy with that. They were like, we want to be there, we want to see you guys get married. So now, our whole families are coming, our friends are coming, and we are treating this as our actual marriage. Oh, my God. I saw this. I saw this. Really? This is where next week and I'll be in Vegas. I could have trashed it. I could have trashed it. So Monday, when we're back on the air, you will be Mrs. Strickland. Correct. Yay. This all goes well. But this is all for a movie publicity stunt. That's going to turn into a real wedding. Exactly. But you have a wedding dress.

00I don't have a wedding dress. I'm actually going dry. I'm going dry. I'm going dry. Because my mom today hopefully I get it figured out because my little cousin is actually getting married tonight. Don't. I got to figure it out. We have a suit right away, but when you get, are you still going to do the October wedding or the other? No, no, we're not going to do an October wedding because I'm going to be literally walking down an aisle like we're going to do the ceremony. If my parents are going to be there, that's okay to do it. So what we're going to do is probably in two months. We're going to have a party here in Arizona and we'll have a party in Portland and everyone can come and celebrate and do whatever and we're going to have our moments. We'll let people have speeches. We'll let people do whatever, but yeah, we're not perfect. That's so stressed out about all of the wedding planning. So no taco truck. Actually, we might have a taco truck at the little like the reception party. You know, so I'm really excited with the way that things are going to go down.

00But I have been like having like doubts in the back of my head on like, is this real? I've gone back and checked like websites. I'm online. I'm trying to figure out everything because what if we show up in Vegas and like this is like a total. Well, that's what my whole thing was with you is to treat it like my advice to you is someone who's been through this type of thing before is to treat it as a fun publicity stunt for you in the radio show. Not your real life. I get it. If something goes wrong or they go next and they don't let you have your moment, it's your wedding. Now you're treating it like you're wedding versus it's a publicity stunt so that you can have your wedding in October. This should this shouldn't in my opinion should not get in the way of your real life wedding. This is something fun. Okay, but also she's in Vegas. So if something goes wrong with this, there's 10,000 other wedding chapels. That's true. I think it's real. Whether there's other wedding chapels in Vegas, I understand that but that means you're going to have to pivot. Somebody could make something go wrong on your wedding day and you're going to be like, this is my wedding day.

03It is your wedding day but you got 45 minutes to get married and they're going to the next couple because it's a movie publicity stunt. So I just want you to be mentally prepared for that so you can't be like so that you're not frustrated with something happens because it's not your day. It's 15 other people's days. You know, I get I get it without it out. I understand that we're going into it. We're doing it this way but quite honestly like it's not just me who's getting married. You know, so I also have to talk to Kadeem and make sure that things. If he wants his family there, absolutely your family can be there. If I want my. I don't know what I'm saying though is like you, you got a different brain than how most normal people are also from the very beginning. Like I feel like this is almost Christmas because from the very beginning, we said we don't really want a traditional wedding. But you want to do this very differently. And this is that. What about the part? What about the part because the whole publicity stuff of the movie was you have to share a secret that they don't know. Did you guys get on par with that? So we have one. We have Kadeem's. We don't have mine quite yet. But I don't know. I need your guys as good like smart brains to help me come up with something super clever because we want something that big and is going to be like

07what and get the reaction that I'm sure they want to. But also like I'm not trying to be detrimental to my career either or his career or future or lives or whatever. You should have a funny secret, a funny deep secret. Okay. But like also shocking. You got to get your family in on it to like overreact. Yeah. Right. Yeah. So everyone that's going to be there knows that we have this confession card part of it. But I'm really excited. I have a really good hopes that things are going to just work out exactly how they're supposed to be. And John Jay as much as I would love to have a wedding celebration in October or in March or whenever we did it. Fact of the matter is I'm about to say 15 grand and I'm okay with that. Oh, that's okay. I am 100% on the same page as you. I just don't want you to be let down. I didn't know that you weren't. Oh, okay, it's just. It's not happening October. Okay. I thought it was like. She's like, we're going to get the paperwork. This is just like the October 24th, 2025. You're like October 26th. 26th. This is my wedding date. Everybody write it down. I didn't know that. It's okay. Yeah. And I mean, we weren't like married to the date. Like we weren't like in love with it.

07We just thought it was a pretty time of the year in Arizona and a good destination time or whatever. I'm just looking out for you. I appreciate it. So when everything sucks, I'll make sure to call you and tell you how I write you. No. If everything sucks, then you still get to have a wedding in October. Yes, for sure. Exactly. Exactly. And I just told Godima I was like, let's just have fun. Okay. So quick recap. There's a movie coming out called The Drama. The movie studios having a publicity stunt in Payton is part of it. But what Payton is doing is legitimately getting married much like the Super Bowl, the bad buddy wedding. That was a real one. Exactly what it's like. Right, right. Okay. So it'll be fun. Please. I'm so excited to find out what happens Monday morning on this radio show. Good for you. Oh my gosh. Yeah. All right. It's John Jane Rich. This is Chelsea. Hannah from Dear Chelsea. After the big game like most people, I kept thinking about the commercials. And there was one that stayed with me. It was from the Blue Square Alliance against hate. And it wasn't loud or flashy. It showed a Jewish kid being targeted at school. And another student who chose not to ignore it. As someone who was Jewish, that moment felt very real to me.

07Not dramatic, just familiar. And what struck me was how clearly it showed that hate doesn't always announce itself. But the impact is still huge. If you saw the Blue Square spot during the big game, it's worth thinking about. And if you want to show support, sharing the Blue Square is one small way to do that. Time for a sofa upgrade?
