Paxton Leads Cornyn in Texas Senate Race

0:00On March 25th, new polling from Qantas Insights shows Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton leading Senator John Kornin in the Republican Senate runoff. Paxton holds nearly 49% support to Kornin's 41% with about 10% still undecided. Most voters appear locked in, with over 88% certain to cast ballots and nearly 80% firm on their choice. This leaves little room for last-minute shifts in a low turnout contest. Paxton also edges out Kornin on who voters see as more effective, 51% to 39%, and both stronger favorability ratings. A majority of backers for Representative Wesley Hunt now favor Paxton, which could prove key. Paxton leads across suburbs, mid-sized age groups from 45 to 64, and smaller towns, building a wider base. Kornin holds an advantage with voters 65 and older, plus some urban strength. But endorsements like one from former President Trump's way. Few less than a quarter say it would matter.
