It's March 4th for the NFL. Let's get into it. Follow and subscribe for more team news every day. The New England Patriots plan to release wide receivers to fond digs right after the New NFL League year starts on March 11th. The 32-year-old veteran signed a 3-year deal worth $63,500,000 with a team last off-season but will. Leave after just one season. Digs joined New England as a free agent and quickly became their top target through the air. In his 11th NFL season this year, he led the Patriots with 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns off 100. Four targets. Fans and teammates showed mixed feelings about the news. Digs posted a heartfelt message online, thanking the organization and calling them family forever, wrapping up what he called a hell of a year. Off the field, Digs faces serious legal trouble from a December fight with his personal chef. He's charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault, pleaded not guilty at
his February 13th Arraiment and has a pre-trial hearing, except for April 1st. As a free agent soon, Digs could draw interest from other teams despite the off-field issues. The Patriots clear some cap space while he sorts out his next move. This episode is brought to you by our sponsor, See the episode description.
