The New England Patriots are locking in one of their backup quarterbacks for the future. Tommy DeVito has agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $7.4 million, including $2 million guaranteed. This move secures depth heading into the 2026 season. In 2025, the 27-year-old DeVito served as the team's third quarterback behind starter Drake May and Joshua Dobbs. He spent the whole year on the roster, but never saw game action. DeVito brings real experience from his time with the New York Giants over the prior two seasons. He played in 12 games, starting eight of them. His career stat shows solid efficiency, with a 65.3% completion rate on 1,358 passing yards. That includes eight touchdowns against just three interceptions. This deal gives the Patriots reliable insurance at the position without breaking the bank.
