Patriots Eyeing Brazzell in Draft

0:00On March 5th, here's the latest surrounding the NFL. The New England Patriots are eyeing a wide receiver with their number 31 pick in the first round of the NFL Draft. This comes as they prepare to release Stefan Diggs when the New League year starts on March 11th. Earlier this week, Patriots writer Chad Graff from the Athletic shared a mock draft after the NFL Combine. He has New England grabbing Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazel the second at that spot. Brazel turns heads at the Combine with a blazing 4.37 second 40 yard dash. At six feet four, he is built to win deep as an outside receiver, which could pair perfectly with quarterback Drake May's strong arm. Meanwhile, Brazel brings solid college production. He played four seasons starting two years at Tulane before transferring to Tennessee. Across 40 games, he hauled in 136 catches for 2072 yards and 16 touchdowns. This move could give the Patriots a big boost on offense if Brazel slips in the draft.
