The New England Patriots kicked off the NFL's legal tampering period by making two key moves at fullback. They tendered exclusive rights free agent Jack Westover and signed unrestricted free agent Reggie Gilliam to a three year contract. This comes as the Patriots look to fix their run game, which ranked among the league's worst last season. Gilliam stands out as one of the top run blockers from Buffalo's number one rushing attack, where they use 21 personnel at a high rate. Gilliam brings a fresh skill set at 6 feet and 244 pounds.
