Using this to lock in their idea with the USPTO, claiming Patent Pending status and making certain the inventor is the first to file. Most inventors or product developers should research exactly what type of patent they need to file as they move their product forward. In most cases jumping in and submitting a full non-provisional patent is not the correct step in the invention process.
